The only reason I gave four stars was because my poached eggs were over done and not runny but regardless the food was still great. Will definitely return here for a boozy brunch. If you find yourself downtown needing food this is a good place to go. Their tacos are really good. We loved the pork belly and buffalo chicken tacos. Their Mexican potato skins were fine. The food was really reasonably priced but the drinks were not. Also didn't like that they added automatic tip to the bill. I like to tip cash but it didn't really give me the option. read more

Don Tito has a GREAT happy hour and GREAT food. Doesn't get much better than that. The place is huge, but is always crowded. My only problem is if you're sitting at the bar, you're pretty much ignored by the servers and bartenders, unless you're a guy... We usually opt for a table, but the bar is last resort if the wait is long. Would love to come back and be able to snag a seat outside on a nice day. We stopped off here for a happy hour dinner and the staff did a fantastic job getting our order before the Taco Tuesday Happy hour ended. There was plenty of room at the bar for us to enjoy our meal and a couple drinks without feeling crowded. The staff worked together quite well ensuring that we had everything we need and that our plates were bused only when we were both done with everything. The Surf & Turf Taco and the Carne Tacos were both quite good. We'll be back when we're in the area for another quick bite. read more

Okay, this place is amazing. I came here on a Saturday night and holy hell, does it get crowded.. but that's Clarendon for you. I was standing here for a little bit by the bar sipping on some pretty good margaritas until we scored a table. There we ordered tacos which were really, really good - packed a lot of flavor! The service was also really good, even despite it being super, super packed. The waitress was really attentive, even the bus boys! I commend them. As for the margaritas, the blood orange margarita is to die for - it is so flippin' good. The prickly pear one was also really good, kind of resembled a cucumber flavor to me, but so good. I actually liked the atmosphere of this place. I know they have three levels which I hear every level is just as packed, but I stayed only on the lower level. The TVs all around were nice, the bathroom lines weren't terribly long.. there is also a lady that is in there helping by handing out soap and paper towels which is kind of cool (haha!). Go there for drinks and for the crowd. But not for the food. Fun place to visit and hang out in a nice young DC neighborhood. Rooftop is fun but very noisy. There is outdoor seating too. I'd give it only two stars but for the outdoor seating. Lot of young professionals visit this place - especially over the weekend. That makes it fun place to visit, have a few drinks, get some food, and mostly crowd watching. However, the food is very average. Service is friendly but extremely harried. If you want genuine Mexican food, this is not the place. But if you want to hang out with your friends and have a few drinks, this is is not a bad place to visit. Like I said, I gave it 3 stars only for the rooftop and outdoor seating; I'd not recommend this place for food in cold weather. (Bar is fine). read more

Agree with the reviewer below that this seems like the perfect spot to catch COVID-19. On Sunday (it was not Cinco de Mayo, so a different day from the reviewer below, weeks later) there was a long line of tightly packed people standing around that stretched down the block. On these otherwise quiet streets, the sight was such an anomaly that I did a double take for my brain to register whether in fact in the middle of a global pandemic a business could really be so careless as to allow a long line to build up with zero social distancing and no mask requirement right outside their door. So many, many steps they could take to prevent this. For example, ping patrons when orders are about to be ready and encourage them to only come to the restaurant when they are able to pick up their order. As another example, use chalk to mark 6ft intervals on the pavement to encourage social distancing. As another example, require customers who come up to pay to wear a mask (don't they want to protect their staff who are taking payment?). Come on, Don Tito. Do better. I was craving some tacos this taco tuesday but after what I've seen I genuinely would be worried! read more

The food was delicious, the customer service was slow and poor. I wanted to write a review because I have noticed that multiple people have had the same experience. My total was around 40 dollars, I left a 20 percent tip in cash, because we were in a group everyone was chipping in. But I paid with my card. The next day I look at my card balance and my total went from 40 to 50. I left a cash tip but the server decided to write herself a tip. That is extremely rude and greedy. Honestly this place sucks. We walked in and were told that we could not sit at one of the tables downstairs because they stopped table service at 9. We went upstairs - the bar tenders were really grumpy and gave us the wrong drinks. And told us they could not change the tv to the olympics even though ALL of their TVs were playing the same basketball game. Then they took my chair away at 9 - I was sitting on the chair and some bulky douchey looking bouncer just walked over and took it away even though I had explained that I rolled my ankle and needed to sit. They counted on how "hip" they were and think they can treat everyone like trash because they are so "desirable." We closed out our tab quickly. It was alright. The place itself is what earns them the three stars, and I would've done 3 and a half if I could on account of the food being decent. It's a three story kind of a thing, with the 3rd floor being an open rooftop. There's an elevator that leads to it if you would rather not take the stairs. The service was horrible tho, I understand it was Saturday night and it was busy, but damn, we had several servers do a roundabout taking our orders, and still none of it would come out neither on time or being correct. Must've asked for a set of silverware about 6 times before we actually got it. We were a party of 6, so regardless that the service sucked, the server came and told us that since there's 6 people, 20% gratuity is automatically calculated and added to our bill. Even tho we were paying separately. At that point I think, the server cared even less if he actually got our orders right or on time. And then at the very end when we were asking to pay our bills, he came to our table asking what we had. Like, he had no complete record of everything we had ordered. I was very disappointed with this place. They do not give you complimentary chips and salsa unless you specially ask for it. The food although cheap, is not that good. The quesadilla was below average. The rice bowls they have are not good at all. It is like a chipotle meal but worse. The amount of food they give is also very small. My girlfriend and I scouted out a few restaurants in the area during our stay in the area, and decided we wanted Mexican, and Don Tito looked like a hit. We get there and noticed the 3 floors, all of which had a different atmosphere to it, basically going from quaint to lively the higher you went. We ate on the first floor. We had the empanadas as an appetizer, and I had steak fajitas as my dinner, my girlfriend had a chicken quesadilla. Everything was delicious! The atmosphere was great, the service was great, and the prices, including drinks, were all very reasonable. We even stayed for dancing after dinner when they turned the dining room into a dance floor! We will definitely stop by when we're back in town! read more

First, I'm a non-drinking mom...meeting my daughter's new friends. The place was hopping with young, energetic, upwardly mobile men and women off work and meeting to unwind. Wall to wall people on the first two floors and rail to rail on the roof top. Loud and frenetic. That said, everyone was having a great time. We ordered a couple of tacos...unfortunately after happy hour was over, and they were excellent. What a transformation from Eventide! Every detail from the bar backsplash to the rooftop has been upgraded and the entire place feels twice the size. Especially the rooftop! I've been to Don Tito multiple times and for very different occasions and have had amazing food, service, and overall experiences each time. The 3 different stories offer 3 different moods/settings: Level 1: Great spot for hh, dinner, or just drinks. This is the most low-key of the 3 and has awesome side roll-up doors so that you get the indoor/outdoor people-watching experience. I work for a large consulting firm and hosted a succesful hh on this floor and my co-workers keep asking when we can go back. Great hh drinks and food specials! Standouts were the quesadillas, 3-style tacos, guacamole, and red or white sangria. Level 2: Best for a night out or weeknight dinner/drinks. This level looks enormous. I thought the high ceilings without the old Eventide drapes would make the room look spatially off balance but whoever did the interior design nailed it. This is also a great level for watching a game or late night dancing. Level 3: My favorite. Who knew adding a huge bar and what-seems-to-be additional seating (though not certain) would make the patio look TWICE the size of Eventide's? Don Tito chose the perfect season to open, as I have enjoyed many spring afternoons here. This level looks particularly nice from the street view. If you can find a spot here definitely check it out! All you can eat brunch is a good deal but be sure you request to sit on the second floor where the actual buffet is. With my luck I would have dumped my plate of food down the stairs if we hadn't moved. We called Saturday night to make a Sunday brunch reservation and were told it was first come first served, even though Don Titos has been running a Facebook ad campaign telling ppl to call and make a reservation. Called Sunday morning and made a reservation. That's not good customer service. It was like the hostess didn't want to actually do her job. Food selection was plentiful! Raw bar, prime rib, omelet station and much more. Recommend the trays are better monitored as they had egg dishes on there that were cold and with an uncooked egg you're asking for trouble. Make your own quesadilla station was my favorite and the large $3 margaritas were good. Will go back to try their tacos. read more

My wife drug me out for a going away party for her boss, that I wasn't really in the mood for. Fortunately, I made the right decision to both, stay married, and also have some great food. We arrived around 7:30 and immediately went straight up to the rooftop bar. The rooftops area is well and has an exceptional view. The bar tenders were quick to serve and made good drinks. We moved downstairs after a few drinks and were almost confused by a line leading up to and waiting to get onto the roof. The atmosphere on the forcing floor was jovial and loud. As the evening continued we moved to a couple of booths where we could sit and chat. I ordered the tuna tacos, which were fantastic, followed by the nachos.., also really good. My vodka based drinks were so so, but the tequila based margaritas were well made and put the girls in a great mood! We stayed until about 12:45. As we left, we saw another really long line to get to the second floor, then a really long line line to get into the bar. Honestly, I couldn't imagine waiting in line to wait in line. Very good, more of a kick than I was expecting, but a tad on the sweet side. Beware, these are strong and you won't even realize it! ;) Service was good. I went to Don Tito last night (Thursday) for some drinks and a bite to eat with some of my co- workers after work. I am much more of a DC girl in terms of happy hours and going out but but I decided to give good ole Arlington a try! I must say that I was pleasantly surprised with my night out at Don Tito. I had the the 24oz margarita (9$) it was huge and well worth the price, the happy hour chicken quesadilla (7$) which was pretty tasty, and I ordered the mango habenero wings for a friend and she really enjoyed them. I wish I liked spicy food but if you like spicy wings I would give them a try. The atmosphere is pretty cute and they had a DJ play music after 9. I am pleased to say after a night out in alrington that I would go back to Don Tito for some margs and food. read more

My first time coming to Titos was 2 years and I had one of the best nights ever. That night has yet to be topped. First off, Don Titos is huge!! There are 3 floors I believe and one is a rooftop. I also came here 2 days ago for Happy Hour and had a great time! The drinks were great and the customer service was also unbeatable! My friends and I eventually left to a different bar down the street and the service and drinks were so bad that we came back to Don Titos! Great happy hour! $5 regular margaritas and $9 jumbo's which were delicious. The tacos were amazing as well for $3 each. Typically I don't love corn tortillas but these were so good I barely noticed! Nacho "small plate" on the happy hour menu is also probably the best deal there is and can feed at least 2 if not 3 people. I ordered a pork belly taco and later found out I was charged $44.20 for a taco when i check my account. My friends were also charge the same amount. I called and got the issue resolved same day.
