I first experienced Don Tony Catering about two years ago at a funeral reception, and the food was sensational. They served around 200 people, and everyone was able to serve themselves quickly with big, generous portions. The buffet moved smoothly and the food quality really stood out. Fast forward to now -- we just booked Don Tony Catering for my daughter's Sweet 16 on March 28, for 250 guests. We recently went in for a food tasting, and honestly... wow. They brought out a full spread -- easily 10 different meats -- and everything was incredible. After tasting everything, we chose: * Carnitas * Chicken fajitas * Barbacoa * Steak picado They also offer ceviche, enchiladas, rice, beans, and desserts, all included as part of a service-style buffet. They provide two helpers, serve food for four hours, and the buffet setup runs for three hours. Other items we tasted (and loved) included chicharrón, steak fajitas, green chicken, and pork chile verde -- all excellent, but the four we selected really stood out for our event. Based on past experience and this tasting, we're very confident in our choice and really looking forward to seeing how everything comes together on the big day. I wasn't going to cook for around 60 people for my birthday party so off I went looking for a catering service. My friend recommended this caterer so the two of us went out for a taste test at Tacos Los Betos. They brought out the samplers and they were all good but I picked out my two favorite meats. When doing the sampling come as a group of 4 because it's a lot of food, especially when you request tortillas to compliment the taste test. Everyone at my party loved the food. Amazing hole in the wall restaurant. Authentic Mexican food. They remodeled last year and opened up to make space for more tables. Their breakfast specials are delicious and reasonably priced. I recommend their Chilaquiles and Menudo as well as the tortas but honestly everything else is great as well, these are just my go to. They do tend to get busy on the weekends so please be patient to get seated The waitresses are extremely friendly and knowledgeable on what they are actually serving you. Hired Don Tony Restaurant to cater my daughter's Quinceañera this past weekend. 1) We were able to sample the food months in advance and all the dishes were delicious! 2) They checked in with me about a couple of weeks before the event to confirm the food, set up time, serving time, and plan for how they would be entering the venue that day 3) the day of I did not hear them enter or set up even though it was done during our event speeches and dances!!! 4) our guests said the food was very tasty - we had options for everyone and we had more than enough food. A friend chose this restaurant to cater to her fathers birthday and man was it good stuff. I wasn't trying to eat much that night but after having a small plate I quickly went back for a bigger one. The meats that were chosen for catering were pork rojo, pork verde and birria de res. Ceviche de Pescado (fish) was also catered with rice and beans as sides. All meats were flavorful but the birria de res took the number one spot with the pork verde right behind it. Beef was used for the birria rather than goat but tasted just as good as any goat birria I've tasted. The tomatillo sauce used to prepare the pork verde was simply delicious. Tasted even better on top of the rice with onions and cilantro. The food was great and due to that they'll definitely be considered by myself if I were to ever need food catered. They catered a recent event in which my relatives celebrated my Father. They did a fantastic job with a variety of food. I had tasted thier Mexican food in their restaurant a few years back, I was not dissapointed with thier catering. recently, they served up great Mexican food which included rice, beans, fajitas and more. They also served up fried chicken, beef and plenty of Mexican and American sides. Everyone loved the food though I felt thier fried chicken was a bit dry. When I visited thier restaurant a few years back, it was a huge place with plenty of tables, it was on a saturday afternoon so it was not yet crowded. We enjoyed thier food, service was ok. My family has been using this catering service for a few years now. My aunt used them for her wedding 2017, and have been booking them for any big or even small event. She had about 200 people and there was more than enough food to feed everyone once and twice even a for few people (myself included). We then booked them twice once for my son baptism and his 2nd birthday. Don't know how their services have changed due to covid. But depending on the selection you made you could either pick up the food yourself or have them deliver. Either way amazing overall. read more

We originally hired them to cater my graduation party a few years ago and the food and service was 5-star quality. We recently rehired them to cater my sister's graduation this passed Saturday and I was completely unsatisfied with the quality of the food. I was really looking forward to eating the steak fajitas and as soon as I sat down, I noticed they smelled burnt and charred. They tasted so burnt I couldn't finish my plate. When I went to examine the leftovers, I could tell they burnt the steak and tried covering up the smell with soy sauce. Secondly, the chicken fajitas went bad by the end of the party. We had the party in a well-conditioned indoor community center, so the food that was laid out was not sitting in the hot sun. When the caterers leave, they package the food up for you. I noticed an off smell as they were packaging the food. By the time we left the party, the chicken had gone bad. We had to call everyone that took home leftovers and tell them not to eat it. It was embarrassing. When you pay over a grand for a caterer, I expect my food to be edible and not in danger of making my guests sick. We called early Sunday morning to speak to someone regarding our complaints. The lady that answered did not give us her name and asked if she could call us back because she was too busy. It's been over 48 hours and no one has called us back. As a previous customer, I was beyond disappointed with this event. From a very upset bride I hire this resturant for my wedding to cater their meals and their service was not what I expected. They arrived late to cater the food and the food was cold. The people that were serving the food had a very bad attitude with my guests and on top of it the servers were arguing all the way through the reception. Is not what I expected. Hired Tonys Mariscos for my daughters sweet 16, their food was a hit, i received so many compliments of how the food was sooo delicious. If i could give 10 starts i will. With all the stress the mother is feeling feels the dauly of, makinh sure all is perfect.. good to know the food was good. I went today with my parents and I thought this place was great. It's kind of small but the food makes up for it all. We ordered a bucket of beer which was well priced in my opinion. This our second time using their catering services for our events. Food is great with many options all of our guests raves about the food at our parties. You can go and taste the food at the restaurant to make your selections. They also serve the food at your event for a very reasonable price. And if you have any left over food they will leave it there for you. My only complaint was that they did not leave any leftover plates for people to serve the leftover food. Beware.. Don't count on their catering request to be done on time. First time it was for my daughters party (100 guest) and I had to wait 1 1/2 after the time that we requested for pick up. People began to show up to our party and we were still setting up the food due to their delay. Their food is good and I gave then a second chance with simple request for a try of beans to be ready for pick up at 2PM. I arrive at 3:40PM and the beans where not ready. Big disappointment.
