I love Donato's Pizza, craving for a quick lunch before an appointment. Empty parking lot at 1145a should have been my first sign - entered restaurant (empty), fountain drinks marked closed, limited choices for bottled drinks in frig, 1 employee rattling around in back, told me he'd be right with me. Waited, waited, waited, waited...about to head out as I didn't have time, when employee popped around the corner, mumbled an apology as he approached the counter. As I started to order "I would like...." - he snapped that he had to put his gloves on first. Okaaaaayyyy....when he finished I asked if he was ready. Nastily replied " No! I have to sign into my register." At this point I set my menu down, told him he had horrible customer service and this was not worth it. As I headed out the door, he told me snarkily to "have a nice day, but I doubt it" and asked "what's your problem, B**tch?" Pretty well sums up why not a single customer there for lunch. It is safe to say that I was left with some mixed feelings after attending this establishment a few days ago. To start off, I did not feel very welcome. Upon my entrance, the staff looked visibly upset that a customer had walked through the doors. To make matters worse, the clerk had no sense of manners whatsoever. She refused to hand me my cup and made me reach over and grab it on my own! She also was not enthusiastic about her employment whatsoever. After ordering, my friend and I waited a considerable amount of time for our food to be prepared even though it appeared that some of the staff was standing around doing nothing. Hell yeah this place is wack as shit, for you boomers that means really good! The pizza, wack! The breadsticks, wack! The wings, extremely wack! And surprisingly amazing service! The employees are always extremely friendly, and can I say very dedicated. There was this one time where they messed up my order but they were so apologetic and friendly and replaced my order that it didn't even matter! Me and the boys chill there all the time, it is the only pizza place in this hell hole town that you can dine in and boogie!
