Food here is great! Right next to my work so I come here a lot. The service gets a little rude tho when they are in a rush. I've worked in fast food b4 so I know how it is. But one girl, who I think was the manager, was rude when I told her I had an online order. She said "what do you need" in a rude and rushed way. When I told her the name was either under one name or the shortened version of the name, she brought it to me and said I need to know what my name is b4 I come get it. Ordered my food on the app to grab and go. I always enjoy their choose 2 options and decided on the half Horseradish Roast Beef and Cheddar sandwich and the cup of Country Potato Soup. It was ready and waiting for me on time and it was still hot when I arrived home. If you haven't tried this sandwich I suggest you do, I just love the slight kick from the horseradish and with the roast beef and cheddar cheese, it's just a great combination of flavors. If you follow me then you know I'm a fan of McAlister's Deli. I think they have a lot of healthy options on their menu. My family members love their Sweet Tea. We have been dining at a McAlister's for over twenty years. When I first started sampling their menu, I didn't care that much for the selections, but over the years I have grown to love the menu. Today I ordered my new favorite that I discovered earlier this month, the French Dip which is served with Au Jus. For my side I got the Potato Salad. The sandwich was excellent especially when dipped in the au jus. They really pile on the meat too. I was unable to finish the six inch size. I do like that they ask you if you want the pickle so if you don't want it then that helps keep their costs down. The potato salad was perfect as well. This restaurant seems larger than other locations with a lot of dining spaces. I like the high walls separating the booths. read more

Fantastic service, huge group of athletes in front of me all ordering together, a staff member snuck through and informed me to follow him to skip waiting on all the sporting kids, what a solid move! I quickly got to order, chili of course as it is so tasty here, quickly used my online gift card, and found the bathroom clean right after. Met with the guy walking around looking for me with my chili! Funny guess I should've mentioned I was disappearing right quick for the men's room, always special to get surprised by well trained polite staff doing everything right to match the big inviting cozy atmosphere here. I suddenly wished I was hungrier for their clubs, desserts, and big sandwiches but next time! The Reuban and big potatoes are long term family favorites here. I frequent this McAllister's deli location a lot for lunch. The staff is always friendly and they get your lunch out quick. I have tried a lot of the menu but my favorite is the grilled chicken club or the Reuben. They have a large menu that includes sandwiches soups salads and huge baked potatoes. This location has a self serve drink station. With Coke products. Plus a large dining area. They also have a private room you can book. read more

It has been awhile since we have ordered from here because they rarely got it right in the past. I ordered through the app for pickup at the restaurant. We will never have it be delivered again because we never get a correct order. So my husband picked up the order and asked about the pickles that come with the sandwiches and the girl gave him a cup with pickles. They didn't have the cookie I ordered so my husband picked out a different dessert. His order was fine, but mine on the other hand was disappointing. I ordered the four cheese melt on country white bread with tomato and pulled pork. First and foremost...the pickle was missing. Second, the white bread wasn't even slightly toasted (I wish I took a pic before I cooked it on my stove). I am not sure how they melted the cheese, but it wasn't toasted or like a grilled cheese. I actually had to cook my sandwich after my husband picked it up from the restaurant. I ate half of it and saved my soup for lunch the next day. I just wish once we could get what we ordered when we have take out. It will be awhile before I order from this location again. The manager needs to get this place together. I've gone to McAlister's for years & have always gotten the French dip. The past few times I've gotten it delivered, it's shown up looking dark, dry, & just gross. It doesn't taste well at all. I don't know what's going on but I won't do delivery anymore. read more

Stopped in for lunch before the ballet. I git the chicken club with a salad and my friend got the roast beef sandwich. Food was good and the service was good. I have to give kudos to the guy that served us because I had ordered my sandwich and salad as a pick two and he explained that it was cheaper to get a whole sandwich as it came with a side anyway. Stopped at McAlister's for lunch yesterday and I've luckily found their quality to be pretty consistent across the chain. I had the pecan berry salad which was a nice mix of greens with plenty of fresh strawberries and blueberries. My friends had a club sandwich and a stuffed potato. All were tasty. I've ordered take out multiple times and enjoy the wraps and the large spuds. Desserts are good too and large portions. The new ButterPecan cheese cake is very good and the carrot cake is always a winner. People love the sweet tea here. Staff have always been friendly and pretty quick. Went in a couple of days ago with a few friends for lunch. People were friendly, restaurant was clean and the food was what I expected having eaten at McAlister's many times in the past. My complaint solely concerns payment and the response I received after reaching out to McAlister's directly. After ordering I was presented with the card reader. The text was so small, I could barely navigate through the "tip loop" I was forced into. It felt like I was being extorted into tipping the person who just entered my order on the register. After a few prompted selections I was able to navigate to the screen where I could finally select, no tip. WTF? My rule is, if I order my food standing up, I don't tip. I jokingly asked one of my friends about this after he paid and he said he left 15% because it was easier than leaving nothing, crazy. I know, everyone including me went crazy tipping everyone during Covid but honestly, do people think this is the new norm? Besides, the entire point of tipping is to reward good service AFTER your meal is served and eaten not BEFORE you don't even know if the food and "service" was any good while you are standing at the counter because at that point you haven't received either. Worst part, I reached out to voice my concerns on their website and got the standard, sorry you feel that way, type of response and assurance they could not do anything about the issue. Went to this location for lunch and had the most unpleasant, disgusting experience. I ordered a chicken Caesar salad on my lunch break and one I got to work to consume my meal, I was about to take a bite and just happened to look at my fork and see a high black bug on it. I immediately called the store to let them know what happened and to inform them that I'd be back once off work. I spoke with the manager Pamela on the phone who seemed very concerned and anticipating my arrival. When I made it to the location she was no longer there. I asked for a manager on duty and the guy at the register posed as a manager until the real manager walked up. His name was Juan. Juan did in fact not seem concerned and with no regard told me that "These things happen. We get our salad mixes pre-made in a bag that is shipped to us so we have no control over a bug slipping through". He was very nonchalant and acted as if he did not care about the situation. It's sad because I work 3 minutes from this location and frequent it multiple times a week and I will no longer return. Every single time we eat at or order from the McAlister's Deli in Brownsburg, IN, there is an issue. Tonight, food quality was once again poor. The sandwich I ordered had burnt bread so badly that you could not even tell it was rye bread. I had to remove it and just eat the meat & cheese. The sweet tea is the most popular menu item. Everyone raves about it and I've known people to stop here specifically for the tea. That being said, if you aren't a sweet tea fanatic this is still a decent lunch spot. The sandwiches, salads, and spuds are all a good choice. My favorites are the Harvest Chicken Salad on a croissant and the Southwest Turkey Melt. You order and pay at the counter, then your food is brought to your table. A plus if you have a large group (no awkward check splitting). The food comes out fairly quick, but you aren't rushed if you want to stay awhile. The only bad thing I've eaten here is the fresh vegetable side dish. I was presented with a cup of broccoli and baby carrots that were literally swimming in melted butter. read more

Guy (white make mid to late 30's) at the to go counter was really swamped while a co worker brought the food to him he asked the guy (young black kid with a green shirt on) to check and bag it. Had dinner here tonight. The chicken salad sandwich was good in taste as always however they put about 1 teaspoon of the chicken salad on the sandwich. The potato was burnt and tasted old like it had been leftover and reheated. The sweet was extremely bitter, not like sugar was left out but poorly made. On our visit here we had some really great food. Unfortunately one or two of the entrees (salads if I recall correctly) weren't prepared as expected which was a downer for a few members of our group. This is a frequent stop for me when I want something quick. I've never really had a bad experience here until tonight. First of all the young maybe high school aged blonde who took our order rushed me so much. I'll admit I was being indecisive but I've never felt more rushed. Before I could tell her substitutions she's quickly asking me the next question with out taking a breath. Then her phone rings as we were paying and she got it out to check. (Could have been an emergency but if not it was rude). After walking away my dad and I both looked at each other and said "she was rude." Zero customer service skills. Then we get our food and I check my sandwich to make sure it's right. I got a spicy turkey melt- no cheese/no ranch. It didn't have cheese and ranch on it but it always was missing avocado and bacon. It wasn't a big deal so I just told her and she touched my sandwich to look under the bread ( I guess to confirm that I wasn't lying?) with her bare hands after touching all over the ordering screen. Then passed back my sandwich to the back kitchen and they added the avocado and the bacon. I am actually a ServSafe Certified Manager and this is a no go. First of all touching my sandwich without replacing it. And then passing already touched (could be contaminated) food and bringing it back into the kitchen prep area to add a couple things to it. Wow can't believe all the bad reviews in this location. We have had nothing but excellent polite service every single time we come here. The line is always out the door when we come to eat here so you do have to be patient. We did try they order online service this time because it was a lazy Saturday. On previous occasions, I have encountered the iced tea instead of green tea and sandwiches that were missing 1 or 2 ingredients. We've finally had enough bad experiences here that we will be calling it quits on this location & making the drive to Avon when a spud & sweet tea craving hits. Today was the last straw - literally sat for 30 minutes waiting for our food & then it was delivered to us cold and incomplete. Butter & sour cream are supposed to come with the build your own spud, you aren't supposed to have to ask for it. Young lady delivered our food and I asked her to bring me the butter and sour cream. She made a displeasure sound but said sure. My husband proceeded to eat his cold soup and cold half sandwich (which was, by the way, MUCH smaller than normal). I waited 15 minutes and she never showed up with my butter & sour cream so my food was untouched. Plus the potato was cold anyways so i wasn't really interested in eating it. I got a to go box & we left. Never got my requested condiments that were supposed to come on the plate in the first place. More often than not at this location the people that take the orders or make the teas are apathetic bordering on rude. It's rare to get one that's helpful. They changed their menu a while back & so it's confusing to order things that you've been ordering for a long time because you have to order them in a different way. The girl today was so impatient and rude my husband almost asked for the manager (which we aren't that kind of people). Our other experiences have included: no silverware available because they forgot to wash it (I don't eat in to use plastic with a spud - it's not fun trying to cut a potato with a plastic knife), cold soups, slow service, apathetic order takers, and if you need anything they failed to provide or a to go box be prepared to stand there while they all ignore you, I would give fewer stars but we did have a few good experiences when they first opened. read more

From snotty workers that couldn't care less with horrible customer service, to getting orders really really wrong... to getting food that looked like it was prepared by one armed, blind baboons it's just really a let down! I ordered from this location yesterday using a VIP card that I got for a previous mess up by this restaurant and I bite into this. It looks like they didn't take off the paper that is in between each piece of cheese and they put it in my sandwich. Had no idea what it was at first.
