Did you know: This Donatos has a drive-thru! I feel like that's a unique thing for a pizza place to have. It was easy to order online, and then pick up without having to get out of the car. Modern conveniences! Donatos does this thing where they cut their pizzas "party style," which means they just cut intersecting lines across the whole pizza. So some of the pieces in the middle have no crust, some of the pieces on the edge are one-bite sized, and all of them are really annoying. They cut their pizzas this way standard, but if you don't want it cut this way, you can request that they slice it the more typical (correct) way. We got The Works, which had peppers, onions and mushrooms on it, plus sausage and pepperoni. The crust is thin, and I wish it were a little more crispy, but overall, it was good. If you go to Donatos, you might as well get their thin crust, because that's what they specialize in. Don't do what I did and get a thicker crust, because they just don't do thicker crusts. Nevertheless, my children like thicker crusts, so I got a half and half with cheese on one side and pepperoni on the other. I didn't finish my slice of pepperoni -- it just wasn't worth the calories. This was a DoorDash delivery so I can't speak to the ambience or service in the restaurant, only the quality of the food and the accuracy of the order. I order an individual pizza, side of wings, and garlic Asiago cheese bread, and a beverage. Along with the wings I ordered an extra cup of the hot sauce. The hot sauce didn't make it to the delivery however so that's no good. The individual pizza is pretty small so definitely take it at its word and don't try to have 2+ people eat it!! Garlic Asiago bread was enormous. Side of wings is 5 wings so again good for 1 person but not to share. As this was for me and me alone it was plenty and I had some leftovers. Donatos has always had a unique taste in pizza. I love their thin crust and it's almost cracker like composition. The thinner the crust, the less carbs in my opinion. I never call ahead or online online, I just walk in, order and wait. I have plenty to do while waiting and don't mind the short wait. The service is always friendly and correct. They do have a nice dining room available that I would like to eat in sometime. The store is always clean including the tables. read more

After catching a film at the local Showtime Cinema that started at noon, I was looking for something to eat and realized I had never stopped in at this franchised pizza place on my way home. It is tucked away down a frontage street near the Walgreens and because of the mid-afternoon time frame, I had the place to myself. I entered and after just a moment, I was greeted and I explained I would like to get a personal sized pizza and some garlic breadsticks to go. She showed me where the menus were and I was able to quickly decide upon a Hawaiian style pizza with my choice of thin crust. I also decided to go with a marinara dipping sauce instead of the cheese option for the bread sticks. What is nice is that they have an open view to the kitchen and they got right on my order (as well as some to go orders that had been called in.) In about 15 minutes, my order was ready and I was on my way. The price was less than I expected and the flavor was really good. I had never had a Hawaiian with the additional flavors this one had. Sliced almonds and Cinnamon powder were added to the shaved ham and pineapple. Really tasty! The breadsticks were soft and warm and not too overloaded with garlic. Cold TWENTY DOLLAR PIZZA. Waited at pickup window over 5 minutes even after an employee acknowledged me and kept walking.

Not only did my wife wait an hour and a half past our pick up time. They gave her no break whatsoever. This location should be shut down like the rest. Not the first time. Lesson learned on round 6. New management and good customer service can't be lost to lazy people. read more

I was a bit disappointed that I had to wait about 5 minutes to be seated because all the employees which in the kitchen and didn't notice my family and I enter. My server was very curious. You can tell the workers are extremely hard working and everyone is trying their best to please Donatos customers. Just plain yuck! We just ate here for my father's birthday celebration. We were put in their "party" room. It wasn't much more than a room with tables. Nothing special. Our young server lacked so many abilities for a server. She wasn't comprehending our orders, she wasn't bringing us drink refills in a timely manner. When our food came out, my entire pizza was COLD. Sloooow......noooooo service. Last Saturday about 1:30pm was the first time EVER for us to try a Donato's. Upon entering, we were told to choose a table. Only 2 were in use so no issue with that. We took a seat. And waited.... and waited. After a few minutes of waiting, I started timing. TEN more minutes pass. No waitress acknowledged us. In that 10-15 minute timeframe, we observed her take the order for one table and noticed the other table had already eaten. Ten plus minutes and no service. We got carry out. A margarita pizza and one with pepperoni and sausage. I only tried the margarita one and it didn't taste bad, it just didn't taste good either. It tasted like nothing. High prices! They put as little as possible on their sandwiches. When I have called to complain "Gina" gets smart with me. No apologies or asking if they can remake their mistake. The management and staff at this location have really figured it out! The service is excellent and the staff is incredibly friendly. It really makes you feel like your back in your old hometown with the touches of local memorabilia. As usual, Indianas weather decided to be schizophrenic and remind all of who is really in charge. We got absolutely pounded with snow and of course Mooresville got the worst of it. By the afternoon we already had 6 inches of that deadly white powder. I'm not the best at driving in these conditions so I called up a handful of pizza stores and I was told that they are not delivery on these treacherous roads. I then gave Donatos a ring and I was greeted with a friendly voice informing me that a delicious pie will be delivered to me shortly. I was not disappointed as not too long after hanging up the phone they were at my door step with a not just my hot delicious dinner but also in a timely manner. This establishment needs to be recognized for their fantastic pizza but also the man with glasses that decided to brave the elements to get me my dinner.
