Had a couple small-ish jobs. The positives were easy scheduling, text updates on when the plumber would arrive and sharing a name and photo of him for easy ID. The negatives were around pricing. When he arrived, I asked about the price difference between replacing the cartridge for an old shower pull-out handle vs updating to a new lever handle. We opted for the cheaper fix but after completing the work, the plumber then tells me the pipes are starting to wear and we should update to the new handle soon. If I was given this information BEFORE the cartridge installation, I may have made a different decision. Now, I'm basically stuck paying for both services as I'll likely need to update soon. He did ultimately offer a partial discount for the new handle, but would have been ideal to know this before the work was done. Similarly, he snaked the kitchen drain and then told me it was too full of grease so we'd need the more expensive hydrojetting. Lastly, I was told we could get a small senior discount as this was for my parents home. When I asked the plumber, he confirmed this was included in the price but I then realized this actually wasn't included upon receiving the invoice. I'm not sure I'd work with them in the future and would suggest you look elsewhere. read more

We heard a thump in our shower wall and lost a lot of water pressure in our bathroom this morning. Logan and Bradley showed up a couple hours later. They were communicative and on time. They walked me through our entire system and were able to diagnose the shower cartridge as the most likely cause. Done-Rite is fast, efficient, friendly, professional and has excellent customer service. I called a couple other companies this morning but scheduled an appointment with Done-Rite because they were available to come out today. Tiffany, the receptionist, is professional and super sweet. She asked if we were first time customers, waived the $79.50 service fee and said they would provide a free on-site estimate since I mentioned finding them on Yelp. I received a text from Jon confirming the appointment day and time 10 seconds after I got off the phone with Tiffany, not joking. They gave a window of 2-4pm. Jon texted he was on the way and arrived right at 2:00! Jon quickly assessed the cause of the leak - the gasket, gasket strainer, and old garbage disposal that needed to be replaced. He had a new disposal in his truck, gave us an estimate, got to work with Victor, and was done in less than an hour. Immediately after Jon and Victor left, I received a completion of work text from Jon and the invoice and receipt via email. Now that's customer service!! She's was very knowledgeable and gave me estimates for potential situations. The technician came to assess and honored those same estimates. Had a kitchen sink that was clogged. They provided an estimate and cost was reasonable. Overall, any home maintenance issues is pretty dreadful - but they made it pretty non-stressful for my family. I had a water heater issue on a Friday night and called Done Rite plumbing because they have always been great. I talked to David and he was extremely helpful, he said he would try to get someone that night. I told him we could wait for the next day and he said he will have someone in the morning. At 6:45 I received a text from Logan that he would be there at 7:15 and sure enough he was there at 7: 15. He diagnosed the problem and fixed the problem so that it won't happen again. Call Done-Rite late and the day and got an appointment for the next day to repair the TP valve in my water heater. "Since we were replacing the valve" we also installed a water resevoir tank and the pressure control valve. All work was done quickly and professionally. I called Done-Rite Plumbing due to noticing a small leak forming in my garage from one of the pipes in there. I heard about them through a neighbor, so I wanted to try them out. They gave me an arrival window within the next hour to 3 hours after I called. After a few minutes, they messaged me that Jon H. would actually arrive ~30 minutes before their quoted arrival window, and in this case, that was great as I was immediately available. It turns out it was the pressure regulator slowly leaking. Water was still working throughout the house, but I definitely needed this replaced before it could get any worse. The service was quick, and Jon was a pleasure to work with. He gave me a quote upfront how much it would cost if that was the only issue as well as a quote if there were more problems than he initially scoped it out to be. Luckily, the only problem was the pressure regulator, and he got it done quickly and effectively. They quoted me a 1 year warranty for parts and labor, so it was a great thing to have that peace of mind as well. I had an annoying issue with my kitchen sink that would back up into the other side when running the disposal. I had such a great experience with Done-Rite the last time I used them that I knew who I would call this time. Tiffany called me immediately after I submitted my request on-line and was able to send Danny out within an hour. Danny listed carefully to my issues and step-by-step, starting with the least expensive solution, performed repairs, and only when that wouldn't work did he seek my approval to escalate to the next step, which resulted in major improvements with my issue. Upon testing at the end, Danny determined that there may be one more minor issue causing a slight backup (which was a great improvement over the way it was) and he took care of that immediately. My problem has been solved. Danny didn't mind that I watched and asked a lot of questions as he worked. He communicated well and explained things thoroughly. I will not hesitate to use Done-Rite again and recommend them, so much so that I asked Danny to provide a quote for some other optional work I would like done. read more

On a Saturday morning, I noticed the smell of rotten eggs in my other bathroom. I hadn't use this bathroom in some time. I researched the foul odor and it appeared to be sewer gas leaking up the pipes into my home. I then sent 5 request to plumbing companies in the OC area. Tiffany with Done-Rite was the first to respond and she responded within 2 mins. (I only received 3 out of responses). Tiffany was able to get a plumber, Logan, on his way to me. He was just finishing up a previous job. Longan expeditiously started driving to my home. (The other companies weren't available until Monday). While Logan was en route, my buddy (plumber), who was unavailable told me to run the shower since I have never used it since I moved into this home. This method corrected the issue. So I had to cancel Logan and free him up for his next job. I felt bad for doing this especially how gracious Tiffany and Logan were to assist me asap.
