It's been awhile since I've wrote a review! I just want to write a refreshing review for the year. Đông Á has been here for a hot minute and they are def consider a hole in the wall- mom and pop type style. When you dine in for have lunch or dinner, you get that homie feeling. It hits the spot. I always get the kimbap and to me, they have the best pork Bulgogi in OKC. b won and Korean house doesn't compare! I'm telling ya, they are one of the best korean home style meal in okc. (Except the one that shut down called taste or Korea- THAT WAS THE BEST BEST) Come through Đông Á thơ!! Friendly service. Make sure you order the Bulgogi and kimbap. You won't be disappointed. We tried something new this time - the tonkatsu - wasn't my fav but not too bad either. And the seafood tofu soup (not a lot of seafood but flavor is there). Until next time :)

Mom and pop Korean restaurant The waiter was a college student and so polite. This food was sooo good I still think about it. When I'm in the area I make it a point to go to this restaurant. I haven't tried any better Korean food in the OKC metro area Side note: this is conveniently located close to a Korean grocery store too!

To be honest, the food wasn't hitting the same. I'm not sure if they're switching up the recipe but the food lacked in flavor for me. The soybean soup DEF tasted like soybean... to the point where it was too overpowering. The kimbap got smaller and felt like they have less ingredients? The spicy pork was pretty fatty but otherwise had flavor. The kimchi pancake and mul bi nengmyun were bomb though. They honestly saved lunch. On the plus side, service has gotten so much better! They hired some young staff that are doing a great job!

Probably the best and most authentic Korean restaurant in the OKC metropolitan area due to the fact they may very likely be the only place that serves jjajangmyun (the Korean version of Chinese black bean sauce noodles) to my knowledge. They also have excellent kimbap (as well as gochujang sauce upon request), nice fried dumplings (or yaki-mandu) and great side dishes or banchan. Definitely recommended if you are seeking genuine Korean food in the OKC area!

Prices went way up, quantity way down. My server told me she didn't recommend the dish I was ordering "for Americans" I was thrown off by her saying that to me. I would try another Korean place as this place has gone downhill.

Dong A is a hidden gem in Moore, Oklahoma. It's a small and tiny mom and pop restaurant serving authentic Korean food. My favorite here is the Kim chi soup and the gimbap. They're very generous with the gimbap and you get two rolls and they taste like they're freshly made unlike at other places. The service is decent. When I ate here, my family and I were the only people here for the entire one hour and half. It's really strange how they're not busy but they stay open. I wondered if it's because of their other Korean competitor, Gangnam being open also in Moore. I really enjoyed the food here though and I think they have a lot of potential. I'd definitely come back if I'm ever in the area and is craving Korean food.

Amazing food!! Our first experience was wonderful. The japchae and Yaki Mandu were my favorite.

The pancake is bomb. Order it!

It's my first time trying Korean food in the states. I'm not sure about the other places, but I like the food in Korea much more than here.

Hands down best kimchi soup I've ever had!…read more We drove up from Lawton for a grocery run and wanted a real meal before making the hour-long trek back home. So glad we skipped the fast-food regret and gave Jjan Pocha a chance instead! The vibe inside is great--K-Pop playing in the background, fun wall graphics and decor (complete with the giant soju frogs), and a super welcoming staff. We were seated immediately, and they brought out cold water right away. Here is the breakdown of what we tried: Kimchi Soup: The absolute star of the show. I haven't been to Korea, but I order kimchi jigae at almost every Korean restaurant I visit, and this is hands down the best I've ever had. Unlike many places that only serve massive family-style portions, this came as a perfect individual size in a piping-hot stone bowl. I was comfortably full halfway through, but I couldn't stop until the bowl was empty. Don Katsu: We've had pork katsu plenty of times, but never served like this with a blanket of super creamy, rich melted cheese on top. Highly recommend. Fried Dumplings: My two-year-old is in a strict "if it's not a lollipop, I hate it" phase, so even though we ordered them for her she refused to touch them, but my husband happily scarfed them down in minutes. I thought they were a solid, classic dumpling. Kimchi Pancake: This was good and had a nice crisp edge to it, though it probably wouldn't be a must-repeat order for me next time compared to the entrees. Overall, the service was fast and incredibly friendly. If you're looking for comforting, authentic flavors and a fun atmosphere in the Moore area, do not miss this spot. We will definitely be back!

JJAN Pocha was a very cute little restaurant. There were neon lights, music, and the lights were…read morelow which we really enjoyed. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and was able to make some nice recommendations. The Japchae for 2 absolutely serves 2 and is an excellent appetizer. We ordered the Kimchi soup (which has pork IN it, not just on top), Udon Jjamppong, bulgolgi, and grilled spicy pork. The kimchi soup was amazing. I'd prefer a more sour kimchi flavor, but this was still an amazing dish! The soup stayed hot the entire time. It was also served with rice. The Udon was boiling when it came out (as it should be! We love a hot meal), the seafood was cooked perfectly, the broth had a delicious rich flavor, and we subbed udon or ramen noodles. The noodles didn't add much in my opinion, but I can see this being a popular choice! We also requested extra spicy and the chef surely delivered. I usually love bulgolgi. I don't entirely love the seasoning on this one OR the bed of glass noodles, but that's just my opinion. Also served with rice! The grilled spicy pork (served with rice lol) had good flavor and a nice crisp. We were honestly so blown away with how good the soups were that the meats fell to the background. The pork was still spicy and flavorful! Definitely recommend. My only note to make this a full 5 stars would be the addition of banchan. There is a little bit of a wait between ordering and getting your entrees, so some Korean side dishes would've been nice to snack on. They did serve pretzels, but I just thought it was out of place. We really enjoyed our experience and even ended the night with some Melona! We will be returning.

There is one Asian lady that is always sooo unhappy looking. I don't understand lol anyways!! Food is bland. They charge extra now for LA RIBS. I WAS LIVID. FOR $30 I can go to WOW KOREAN BBQ UP ON MEMORIAL AND PAY 37 and have unlimited everything. Also not on the all you can eat is ribeye which is $9, spicy baby octopus $10, and shrimp $9. I am soooo confuse. How is LA GALBI not included?! That is literally what makes up klbbq Gangnam use to be SOOO yummy. They changed owner. The old owner opened up the one on memorial called WOW. The menu is huge and food is delicious. I try to give Gangnam another try today w our friends but it was more than disappointing. On top of that, the AC was down. The restaurant took down all the TVs. It just looked sooo depressing and so run down :(( hope they figure it out one day but this will be my last time here

The chicken was hot, fresh, and flavorful -- clearly made to order and definitely the star of the meal. You could tell it was cooked with care, and it delivered on that Southern-style crunch I was hoping for. Now let's talk sides... the fries were honestly underwhelming. They weren't terrible, just plain and a little soft. I found myself wishing they had gone with crinkle fries or something with an extra crispy coating to better complement that bold chicken flavor. BUT -- the fried okra came through and saved the day! Crispy, well-seasoned, and just the kind of side you want with a chicken meal. The real MVP of this visit? The Garlic Parmesan sauce. OMG. I could literally lather that on everything -- it was that good! It even gave the fries some purpose, turning them into a decent vehicle just to scoop up that sauce. Drinks were your typical soda fountain options -- nothing fancy, but they did the job. Final verdict: I'd come back for the chicken and fried okra without hesitation -- but I'll definitely be subbing out the fries next time. Solid spot overall. 3/5-- Worth the stop for the chicken and sauces alone! The place is up to date and had a fast food but chill vibe from what I could tell but most people in the drive thru.

I will say they did good with getting the order correct. My sandwich did indeed not have any pickles. The chicken though was very dry and overcooked. My tea though was extremely tasty and I would highly recommend the unsweetened tea. Other than that I would say maybe give other menu items a try and maybe they would be better. I know from past experiences their desert jars tend to be really good.
