Dong-A is a nice neighborhood Korean joint. It's not the best I've had anywhere, but it's respectable and very convenient for me. The kimchi is delicious and they're pretty generous with it. I prefer the chicken bulgogi, but I haven't necessarily explored a lot of the menu. This is a famiy-run establishment and I have always found the servers to be friendly and pleasant. read more

Back when i live at Moore we will come to Dong A at least every other month. The food is consistently good, husband will only order chicken bulgogi because it is that good. I like the jap chae, sundobu jigae, rice cake and beef bulgogi. Since we 1st visited the price has gone up twice, food is still good though. 2 main dishes with water will cost you around $25 after tax/tips. They do have limited option smaller portion lunch menu that are cheaper without the banchan (side dishes), so lunch time will be a better time to dine in. read more

Located in one of the few Asian plaza. Visit D nail in the same plaza and eating over there from time to time with my girl friend for many years before moving down to Texas. Many sweet and memorable memories. Very good selection of Korean dishes. Love and miss this place. Lunch box special is good for the price. Love their hot tea. read more

I had the beef bulgogi. This is really my first time eating Korean food. I wasn't that impressed. I have made bulgogi once and I had it one other time at a sushi restaurant. It was to die for each time. This bulgogi was not. It was dry and lacked flavor. Most of the sides I didn't like. I did like the potatoes. My friend got the bibimbap and wasn't impressed. Given the all the great reviews it may just be that Korean food is not for us. read more

i do not know how this place has 4 stars. i went there and ordered the grill your own brisket and kimchi pancakes. the brisket tasted awful. the meat tasted old and the pancake tasted like cheese. i will never go back. read more

The only Korean restaurant I ill eat at in this area. Tulsa and Lawton have better Korean food but this place is the best out of the ones in OKC area... Thankfully! read more

Excellent! We go for the bulgogi and the tasty side dishes, but we're working our way through the menu. We have yet to order something we don't like. We also like to visit the Korean market that's in the same shopping center. Both market and restaurant are recommended. read more

We lived in Korea for over a year; eating here is like going back. It's a great place for a leisurely meal.

This is my favorite Korean restaurant on the OKC metro area. The service is always friendly, and though sometimes their English isn't great, they do try very hard to explain anything you ask. For newbies to Korean food, the beef bulgogi or galbi is always a safe start. My husband always orders their pork, daija bulgogi. Their kimbab is a huge plate of imitation crab with radish, carrot, spinach, egg wrapped in nori. At my recent visit, I decided to get out of my comfort zone and order a cold noodle soup dish. I actually can't remember what it's called, but it was cold buckwheat noodles in a cold broth with lots of spices and veggies on top and a few slices of meat. It was definitely different but it was pretty good! We've also been here and did the "cook your own" at the table with friends, and the meats are always delicious and fresh. Their yakimandu (fried dumplings) are small and bite sized, but you get a plateful and they're good dipped in soy sauce (on their own, they're kind of plain). I've also had the squid spicy bulgogi, and I wish there was more squid than veggies. I'll be moving soon and will be near Dong A, so I look forward to getting my Korean fix even easier! read more

She would like to make it up to you if you're willing to give it another chance. She wants you to be sure to let the staff know that she promised excellent service the second time around. She's not sure which day/time you dined however this past Fri/Sat was extremely busy she said. She knows that's no excuse though. She also doesn't know which staff confronted/embarrassed you about the tip. She is sorry and will investigate. Also the staff is always open to requests for changing seating if you aren't satisfied with where you are initially seated. Just let them know. I know myself had to request many times as well. This was my first visit here. I went for lunch with 2 co-workers. My co-workers never had Korean food before but they loved it. I was born and raised in Hawaii where there is awesome authentic Korean on every corner just about. The lunch specials were served "bento" style on platters with many compartments. The sides were a little skimpy but we were offered more if we wanted. The sides were kim chee, shoyu potates, a turnip\mayo something and 2 yaki mandoo. 2 of us had the spicy pork bulgogi and 1 had the chicken lunch specials. The pork was little fatty, like there might have been a mix of different pork cuts. Looked like they had some belly pork mixed in hence the fatty pieces. It was tasty though. I prefer when it's grilled instead of a moist stir fry, which the pork was stir fried with onions. I wanted my friends to try different different things so I also ordered a platter of yaki mandoo not knowing that 2 would come with the meal. I think there were 12+ pieces in the order. I also ordered jap chae, it was tasty but I thought it was a very small portion for the price. I would go back to try other things on the menu. Maybe their dinner portions may be bigger. read more

It was my first time eating mul bim naengmyun and it was delicious! Only thing missing in it was the Korean pear which I love. The banchan/sidedishes were all too salty. They have barley tea served at perfect temp in my opinion. Galbi was kind of chewy, salty, and not fresh tasting. read more

Dnt expect a good service if you go to this place. They treat u like trash and just want to make money out of you. Me and my friends went to this place and was placed right in front of the front door and a table facing restroom, although there were plenty of other tables available. And then we waited 30 minutes to get our apptizer on the table. And another 30minutes to get the main dishes. The servers were very rude. All the other guests arrived after us got their plates first and we were the last to get our dishes just because we had 6 people and others were 2 or 3 people. Thats not fair! The best part yet to come, we were very unpleasant with their service so we didnt leave much tips but enough to be reasonable amount. And the owner came to our table saying" u didnt leave enough tips! It must be 15%!" thats not how u treat your guests when u do a business.and u only deserve that much tips because u provided horrible service. We were very pissed but didnt want to argue since we didnt want to ruin our gathering. But all in all, food is just ok, but u need to wait very long, and service is horrible. And u are not going to be treated wirh respect here. So think twice before u go there and find some other places to eat. I personally will never go this place where I am humiliated because I didnt leave 15% tips when received horrible service. read more

We went to the restaurant on the last Saturday. I ordered a dolsot bibimbap. But I found both of egg and rice had been burnt. My wife called the waiter and try to let her give us a new one instead. But the waiter was so mean and argued with us. Whilst she pointed my wife using her fingers and warned my wife "I am not your slave!". A man who was called boss by the waiter came, but they talked some thing in Korean. When my wife spoke to the boss, he didn't listen my wife and leave my wife alone. At last, after long time, the boss's wife (I guessed) came and changed a new one for us. They didn't say any sorry about that. We didn't pay her tip, but we still were so sad and angry. If we were Korean or Amrican people, I don't think this thing happened, but we are Chinese, so they treated us so mean. read more

Hands down the best Korean food you can eat! With that being said the waitress 12/12/14 at 4:45 PM was the rudest wait staff I have ever encountered in my 40 years being alive. She has been our waitress about the past 3 times we have been there and it has never been an overly pleasant experience but tonight she outdid herself. My husband and I and two TEENAGE BOYS, eat here at least twice a month and maybe order a take-out another time in any given month. We have been regulars at this restaraunt for the past 6 years because the food is so good. The times we had eaten there before she became a waitress there, when we ran out of a side we didn't even have to ask for more they would ask us if we wanted more. When my family requests more sides (very politely) she acts as if we are the fattest bunch of lazy Americans she has ever seen! Tonight she said, with a look of utter disgust on her face, "Really?, I gave you enough sides," which was one only of the initial set-up (and we never ask for more than 2 and then it's only for a few of the originals-usually kimchi and potatoes only). I think she knew she had crossed the customer service line after she said it, and if she didn't then she knew by the $2 tip we left her. On the way out of the restaraunt she pushed the blinds open to give us a dirty look (I guess for the lack of tip). When I got home I called the restaurant and asked to speak to the manager and she replied "they are not here." I asked if their was an e-mail they could be reached at and, drum roll please......SHE HUNG UP THE PHONE. Wow. So here I am writing a negative review on my family's favorite restaraunt, all because of one BAD, RUDE, waitress. Everyone is entitled to a bad day but she is 4 for 4 now.
