I've eaten at a few korean restaurants in Oklahoma and I really love korean food. This place was great. Their banchan was very good, I'm obsessed with the pajeon, but it wasn't the best I've had. Still recommend it highly. I had the bibimbap because that's my favorite. The rice was separate, which was a little disappointing because I like the crispy rice that gets burned to the side of the little stone bowls in other places. I still ate like I was starving! Atmosphere was alright, but I felt a little weird. I have blue hair and there was an older gentleman that was just staring at me the whole time and it was difficult to get a waiter when I needed something even though they weren't very busy. It still wasn't bad enough to give them a poor review though. I just felt more welcome in other Korean restaurants. Maybe it was a bad day? I'll definitely update when I go there again. I also recommend the shop just around the corner. The restaurant owner and shop owner are siblings and the shop is just awesome. I get snacks and face masks there whenever I'm in the area. read more

We had a fantastic meal there last night! The food was great, and the service was stellar. I'm not crazy about going to an ugly shopping center in Moore to eat dinner; it's true. (Translation: Don't go expecting ambience. This place is all about the food.) All that said, I'll gladly visit Dong A again just for that terrific food and superb service. The banchan (side dishes) are especially good -- and yes, I tend to judge a Korean restaurant based upon the quality, variety, and authenticity of its complimentary (well, INCLUDED) banchan. The dol sot bibimpap? Absolutely delicious. The hubby usually orders jajangmyun (noodles topped with a savory black bean and minced pork gravy), and is very fond of it. WOW! One of the best yelp finds of my life. Easily TOP Korean food in OK and a TOP 10 restaurant in OKC. We ventured down to nowhere land in Moore for the first time and THIS PLACE ROCKS!! The seafood tofu soup is the best tofu soup I have ever had in my life and I have been to a whole lot in CA. THIS IS A MUST GET. The side dishes were pretty solid. We also ordered the bulgogi (it was ok but won't get next time) and the bimbimbop was pretty good too! But again, the tofu soup is king. We're excited to try the other dishes too. This place was absolutely delicious! Food wasn't too expensive (~$13 per dish) and the portions were abundant. Side dishes were all delicious and we shared entrees as well. Beef bulgogie, jap chae, and sul tang were all very very good. I would highly recommend this place. Come starving! You'll still need a to-go box. read more

Ate here a few days ago because it was really cold and there's nothing like some good Korean soup to warm you up. The location is okay I guess. Everything is clean inside, but the decor and ambiance leaves something to be desired. It did resemble a typical restaurant found in the greater Seoul area. It was a bit odd that I was the only patron in the restaurant for at least a half hour. By the time I left there were two other couples there, and a few to go orders were processed. A bit odd and unfortunate, but I think it has to do with the random location. The food itself was pretty good. I am a bit critical I suppose, as I had the pleasure of having Korean food in Korea. I ordered the kimchee pork stew. It came with a side of rice and plenty of sides. I really enjoyed the kimchee. So much flavor. The soup was good. A little more salt would have been nice, but no worries As a few dashes of the shaker and it was all well. I had hoped for larger chunks of pork, but it's not a big deal. Update?! It's been three years and I've been around the block a few times when it comes to food. So Dong A deserves a star boost and dine-in details. Oh, look, another Korean place that's an annoying drive to get to. Oh well, do what ya gotta do for food. Banchan (5/5): Banchan, banchan, banchan! The kimchi is alright. For me it's hard to judge kimchi since it's different literally everywhere. I liked it, but I've better enjoyed others. Fishcakes, fermented beansprouts, sweet potatoes, pickled vegetables, and... potato salad? I was tickled by that last one for two reasons: 1.) What, why? and 2.) I was watching a video of a Youtube channel I follow (happens to be two Canadians who live in Korea) earlier that day and they were in LA's (I think) K-Town and went to a place that had potato salad with their banchan. They too were like "whaaaat". Maybe it's a Korean-American thing. I dunno! I mean, it was good, though. Mul naengmyeon (5/5): Cold buckwheat noodles. By cold, I mean ICE cold. By ICE cold, I mean there was a little chunk of chipped ice in it. I just want to get that across nice and clear for you folks. It was great. The broth was delicious and the noodles were perfectly cooked. Bad buckwheat noodles are mushy and sad. These noodles were solid and stringy as they should be. The dish includes various pickled vegetables and a hardboiled egg. When I ordered it, the nice woman was explaining to me what it is after I said I'd never had it before. Probably with good reason. I'm sure ice cold soup isn't on the top of every American's "do want" list. But I'd gotten a dental thing done on my teeth that required cold, soft foods and I wanted Korean, so... there we are. I think traditionally, mustard and vinegar are served with this dish to use to your taste, but it tasted like they added it in themselves. Hey, it worked perfectly for me, anyway. Also, these noodles are long so they need to be cut. I imagine they did this in the kitchen but there were still a few long ones I had trouble with. Fun fact: in Korea (and maybe more Korean food friendly places here in the states), with meals like this, you're given scissors to cut at your own noodles. I'd love for places here to adopt that practice. It's probably easier not to, because I'm honestly not sure how Okies would take that. read more

I had an amazing time here! The goat stew was flavorful but not overpowering like a lot of goat dishes. It also was just the right amount if spicy. The kimchi was great as well and their pickled radishes were superb. Our waitress even recommended a Korean Store to us and was very friendly! I will be coming back here again soon! read more

Cooked at your table in a very clean atmosphere, everything was beautifully presented, the waitress witty and helpful to first timers of grilling ourselves at the table. The best Korean in OKC! They have a very large variety. Both their food is good and their customer service is on point. I've eaten here over a dozen times and I enjoyed every visit. Even the time they had really slow service because they were busy with two simultaneous birthday parties. The manager personally apologized to me and even gave me 50% off. I can't remember all of the dishes I've tried, but I can recommend the bulgogi, jigae, pajeon, chapchae, ddeokbokki, bibimbap, kimbap, mandu, and jajangmyun. Not many korean places do tofu soup along with bbq, rice dishes and noodle dishes like blackbean noodles! The banchan is forever changing, and it's actually a kind of game for me to guess the banchan before they come out. I never had the same combination of dishes for any visit. I feel like their kimchi is homemade also, or just a brand I haven't eaten before, but it's good! My favorite of course is fish cake and plain jeon. There's really no downsides to this place other than that their understaffed. Oh, and don't expect any sauces for your kimbap or mandu. The most you'll get is soy sauce, but I just like eating them sauceless anyway. I never checked if they have wine or soju, but I'll definitely be coming here again and again to get my Korean fix. This has been the best Korean food I've eaten since I left Korea in 2008. I ordered the Topokki which I only found with the street vendors in Korea. It was delicious! I also ordered the spicy chicken bulgogi which was cooked just right and wasn't to spicy for me. Overall the service and food was excellent. read more

However the food was the worst I have had in oklahoma city area. The kimchi was terrible and bulgogi was bland except for a strange flavor. Love this place, haven't eaten inside the restaurant since all of my orders so far have been "to-go" but everything i have gotten has been delicious. They have never made a mistake on any of my orders, ive appreciated that a lot since in today's world it seems many restaurants couldn't care less about getting simple orders right. I should have heeded the advice of previous reviews about the bad service. We were there about 30 minutes into our 4 course dinner for 2 when we were handed the check and asked if we needed boxes. They started cleaning the table while we were still eating!!!! Apparently they needed room for a reservation of "Koreans". Me and my girlfriend used to go there sometime, but the food was not very tasty the last time we were there. The rice was cold in my bibimbap and it seemed like cooked from the night before. The portion just got smaller and smaller. This place does not offer that many varieties for barbecue. In my opinion, the chicken teriyaki is just horrible, but their house special "sundubu" is good tho. it's probable still one of the most popular korean restaurants in oklahoma, but it has no comparison with those from a bigger city. read more

I was hoping for Korean BBQ- the kind where you cook your own meat on a grill in the middle of the table- but Nope- wasn't it! I actually walked in thinking it was a restaurant/market because I saw the big sign at the street, but failed to see the actual Korean Market on the other side of the shopping center. Anyhow, it was my first time driving around Moore and I was really happy to find this place. I ordered the bulgogi and sushi roll appetizer to go and had the meal ready in about 15 minutes. This is the worst food we have had in a very longtime. The staff did not have a clue what was going on or did not care. I had the simplest thing on the menu fried rice. Nobody's Korean food is as good as my mom's Korean food, as is true with every other child of a Korean mom. I've grown up with and loved the dishes on this menu, and I've had them everywhere from my parents' dining room table to a hole-in-the-wall in Songtan to a high-rise restaurant in Seoul (that I could never afford on my own). Even with recipes, I can't make my Korean food taste like this. If you're unsure about Korean food, start with the basics. Dong A's dol sot bibimbap (hot stone bowl with rice and other goodness) was WONDERFUL. Also recommend their kimchi pajun (like a fritter / pancake, with spicy fermented cabbage). Their dokbokki (spicy rice cakes, a pretty popular street food in Korea) was the only miss for me... overcooked and far too sweet. I'll be back, probably soon. Most authentic Korean restaurant that I've found in the OKC metro. They start off by giving the traditional mini plate appetizers, which were good. Bulgogi was solid. The Soon Du Bu (hot pot tofu soup) was delicious! As was the bibimbop. Will be going back to suffice cravings. read more

I really enjoyed my visit here. The food are all made fresh and the rice steamed perfectly. The sides (automatically given to you with an entrée) however were lacking compared to other Korean restaurants in "K-town" Texas, but still satisfying. I had the O Jing oh Bokum, stir fried calamari with onions and chili sauce. It tasted great! It had a good mild spicy kick to it and paired perfectly with my sides and rice. My boyfriend had his usual Bulgolgi, which he thoroughly enjoyed. I tried some of his and felt that it didn't have too much grease to make your stomach feel queasy like some Bulgolgi I've had in the past. The service was kind of slow, but they had a sign up front that stated "we are currently hiring servers", so it was understandable. Probably the best Korean food I've had in Oklahoma. The restaurant setting is authentic and the food is very flavorful! If you're into spicy food, try the tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes). They're rice cakes stir fried in a spicy red pepper sauce! I have very low spice tolerance but I like it a bunch. The bulgogi and galbi are awesome too! read more

They give you a variety of cold "salads" for free and that's a nice bonus before the entree. Our 2 appetizers (kimchi pancake + dumplings) & entrees (bibimbab + jap chae) were just as good as any Korean restaurant I've been to elsewhere. Only "criticism" I have is that they don't have much of a selection of real Korean drinks. read more

I've been craving a Bi Bim Bop pot for a while. This was perfect. They served it in a great stone pot with lots of veggies and rice. They fried the egg, instead of serving it raw. We took a group of 9 for lunch and they were attentive and welcoming, but not necessarily a quick lunch. I'll definitely bring people back here! read more
