We shared a bottle of red wine and split the asparagus and steak cooked medium-rare. The steak was cooked to perfection! There is a standard fee of $3.00 to split a meal. I love, love that the bartender waived the fee and allowed us to share a meal. Because we start each meal with small plates a dinner each just isn't possible. I am particular about biscuits and this one was excellent (soft without being doughy, appropriately crumbly without falling apart). The tomatoes were super crispy without being overly greasy. My over-easy eggs were perfect, as were the shrimp, and the gravy was excellent. The grits I had with it really lived up to their reputation of being smooth and creamy, with no need for butter. My mom had the "Kitchen Sink" omelet, and very much enjoyed it. The ingredients were fresh and nothing was over or under done, which can be hard with such a variety of ingredients. The home fries that came with it were terrifically crispy. I also appreciate that they make their own hot sauce, as well as the mix for their Bloody Mary (which my mom also loved) I enjoyed my peach mimosa and got a kick out of all of the different flavor options.
