Donna's Family Dining was a very happy surprise. We were heading to a different restaurant but it was closed and we found Donna's instead. Very basic inside, the decor was somewhat outdated. But it's a very clean place with a friendly, caring staff. We arrived 15 minutes before closing yet we were given caring service, not rushed at all. The cole- slaw was delicious, fresh, with plenty of dressing. We ordered patty melts- one med and one medium rare. The burgers were cooked perfectly served on a good rye bread. We ordered French fries and received a dinner sized platter of perfect and crisp French fries. We had Diet Pepsi in large glasses that we couldn't finish. Two of us ate for $22.00 and had enough leftover for dinner tonight. This little place was our best restaurant find in a long time! read more

There are so many things to love about Donnas! 1. The chicken omelette is AMAZING I don't know what gets done to that chick but is super. (Hint: I swap out the American for feta cheese) 2. The portions are HUGE. A meal at Donnas gets me breakfast and lunch, there is no skimping on the hash browns at breakfast! 3. The family is great, service is always good they work as a team 4. Another great local spot! This is a family owned place that serves up some great food. I ordered the Country fried steak and eggs and it was delicious. It's hard to find a good country fried steak, but Donna's really cooked it to perfection. The portion was very generous for the price. My son is a picky eater and he loved his Chocolate chip pancakes and sausage. The staff was very friendly and on top of the tables. There was quite a few people there and my coffee cup was never empty. There is quite a few things on the menu I want to try so I will be back. We had stopped in for a quick lunch. We have wanted to and tried to stop by on several occasions but due to limited hours we had never made it until now! I had a ordered a club sandwich with ham and turkey. It was all carved off the bone turkey and ham. No processed lunch meat! It did have tomatoes on it but I couldn't even bite through them as they were so under ripened. My husband had ordered the patty melt. It was cooked the way he wanted it medium well and it was very good. It was a big burger on that patty melt. Our drinks were cold lots of ice and refills were plentiful. My husband has a steel stomach and I have food allergies. This is one of the best places nearby for us to go where we can both eat wonderful food. When they say they will cook you breakfast they mean it!!! You can also customize as well as choose from the already randomized menu. Want something that makes no sense, they will do it!! Tried the chicken gumbo - apparently a fixture here & I can see why. One of the best gumbos I've had north of the Mason-Dixie line!! Not spicy but out of this world delicious. I sat at the counter, which I was impressed to find is a fine polished stone slab.
