6 months after having my Volkswagen jetta the a/c wouldn't work at all. When I alerted the dealership they gave me a courtesy vehicle and told me everything would be free to look at. When I got into the courtesy vehicle (a 2016 Nissan Rouge) i noticed mud all in the drivers side floor of the vehicle. Also, in the side compartment of the drivers side door there was a popeyes chicken box, with a half eaten piece of chicken in it, followed by all sorts of reciepts in the back floorboard. When I got the call about the 1,200 repair I was in shock. This car is a 2015 with only 39,000 miles. I told the service manager (Jimmy) how the price seemed a little extreme with the circumstances and he referred me to the sales manager (Mark). The sales manager gave me the longest run-around about how all vehicles break down etc. He then seemed to passive aggressively say it was my fault since the a/c had been iffy for a while. I eventually told him it was very poor service of them to charge me that much considering I had just recently bought the vehicle. The sales manager actually seemed angry but then said that he would like to talk to me in person when I came to get my vehicle. When I arrived at the dealership to pick up my vehicle it was the kicker for me. It was raining pretty steady outside and I was told to "go to the right" and my vehicle would be parked outside ". My vehicle was halfway down the parking lot, and it was again raining. Now usually this dealership brings vehicles up for you, but in this case I guess some specific employees were not too happy with me. Getting my vehicle out of where it was parked was even better. A giant loading truck was behind my vehicle and it took me 5 minutes just to get out of the spot! When I finally get back up to the courtesy vehicle to get my things out of it, the sales manager (jimmy) hands me the important documents I provided to them about my a/c issue and they were soaking wet! At first I didnt want to speak to the sales manager but after all the hassle I had went through just simply trying to get my car back, I changed my mind. When I went in to speak with the sales manager (mark) it wasnt just mark. It was the service manager jimmy and another manager named Eric. Jimmy and Mark antagonized me for 30 mins and I actually ended up crying because of how poorly i was being treated. My father ended up handling the situation as I was so sick to my stomach and absolutely fed up. The general manager gave a much more reasonable price of 750. Do not go to this dealership alone, take someone knowledgeable of vehicles with you. I was definitely taken advantage of because I'm a young female. read more

Very shady and unprofessional service. They did have a competitive price around for a new vehicle by about 1k less. When we drove 3 hours away and arrived, we were given a key (had to ask a confused looking lady at the front desk because Mark was too busy) to try to look at the truck we had planned on buying, and no one showed us features or Apple Play. It was extremely disappointing. You would think a sales person could have done this, but apparently if they think the deal is sealed, they don't give a crap about you. We waited in the lobby around 20 minutes and then went to our salesman, Mark Ford. I was not happy with the lack of friendliness, and no one showing us anything and verbalized this. He reported that the policy here is to "only go over the features of a vehicle after you buy it" which is BS. They were spending more time trying to rope in buyers because they thought ours was sealed since we drove 3 hours here. Mark had spoke with his manager, Andrew Wright, who told him 14k was approved on our trade in. When we sat down, he said we need to look at the trade and I could tell something was up. I was actually expecting to get more and he lead me on over the phone to believe that. After they look at it they said they will only over 13k. This is a shady trash car salesman tactic. Rope people in from afar and then lowball because they don't want to drive back in 2 vehicles. Another sad thing was how apathetic this guy was, it was like night and day after the deal was sealed. I asked if they could do anything to make up for this "mistake" and long story short, Andrew Wright in sales, offered a $100 in GM accessories via email coupon. I took it and while creating an account, they said that through the GM points we would also get GM accessory points from spending the 46k. They said expect an email on Monday. Here it is Monday, and nothing at all. Neither have been emailed. When I call neither answered the phone. Buyer beware, it is like night and day after you buy. Especially beware of Mark Ford and Andrew. What car salesman place has a policy to only show vehicles after they are bought? GM should be ashamed to have such people working for them. This is the 3rd vehicle I have bought and never had a bad experience like this. The Chevy dealership in Franklin NC has superior customer service overall and this is the worst dealer I have ever been to. I called Jimmy who is supposed be the "real sales manager" and left a voicemail asking for help with this email thing. Will update if anyone ever returns my call. Again, it is a sell and ditch dealer, and a shady one who will do whatever to lure you in and then go back on their word. Make sure you get everything in writing with these folks, especially your trade in. I am fine if people won't move on price, but don't lie to people that are 3 hours away and then tell them otherwise. Update- Please note the hateful response. Lied as far as repairs costing $2400. I could show photos to prove this, anyone interested, please email me. Just get things in writing from them because this is a perfect example of why you can't trust them. Excuse that "we get busy" -- you could have another associate help us out. Please note that I still have not received my $1600 NC tax money and it's been 6 days. Also note that my $100 credit towards GM accessories not any of my reward points have shown up. Also if you look at his note, this guy is quite unapologetic and gives excuses. I have bought other cars in the past and never had issues other than with this one. Nice before buy and suddenly gets busy once they think you are hooked and they move on to get more numbers. If this gentleman who posted the response cared about the company reputation he would have apologized and figured out how to get the things promised and make things right. Instead here he is below lashing out. Again get things in writing and I would avoid all Donohoo locations if they are anything like the one in Fort Payne. I never heard back from the sales manager, Jimmy, either. They have no interest in customer service based off the lack of communication or help afterwards. Donohoo sold me a POS! A sour LEMON! I bought a car from Donohoo earlier this year (2013) and have had nothing but TROUBLE with it! I just found out that I need a new motor in the car that I bought from Donohoo less that one year ago. When I bought it I was assured that it had been inspected and was in good condition. I've already replaced the brakes, the tires, several hoses, the alternator and now I've been told by two mechanics that I need a $2500 motor replacement! What a RIP-OFF! read more

My family purchased a car from Donohoo in August. From the get-go, the business transaction was a little eerie. First off, we noticed all kinds of cosmetic blemishes and defects with the car (paint scratches, small dings/dents, rear bumper not aligned correctly, huge gash in the rear & front bumper). Then, on the test drive it was obvious something was not right as the car's steering was off. We were at the dealer for several hours having them try to correct the paint or touch up this and that and each time we were disappointed. They lied to us and stated they had touched up or fixed the scratches, when they obviously weren't even messed with. We complained numerous times until one of the salesman went to the back and made sure that the work was being performed! Also, they tried to tell us that there was nothing wrong with the car's handling or steering (we would find out otherwise later) and even that their "technician" had driven it and it checked out OK. Well, against our own better judgment, we went ahead and purchased the car. Once we got back home, we took the car in to body shops and to dealers for estimates and for work repairs. Donohoo was unwilling to help us out with fixing the huge cuts/scrapes in the bumper and we have been quoted by several bodyshops that they will have to work on and repaint both bumpers to do the job correctly. The estimates have been from $1,000-$1,400! Next up, we went to our local Mercedes dealer to get the car checked out because the steering vibration was getting worse and worse. It turns out, all 4 WHEELS WERE BENT! The salesman at Donohoo said to us with a straight face that nothing was wrong and that the technicians had checked out everything on the vehicle and even checked/balanced the wheels/tires and it was OK. I don't know whether it was the sales guy lying to our faces or if the technicians there are incompetent...either way, we had to go to a wheel repair specialist and pay $500 to get all 4 wheels completely straightened out/refinished because they were all bent on the inner rim. More and more problems are surfacing from the car and we are not happy with this vehicle and we are now especially distrusting of Donohoo Auto. They showed incompetence, they lied about numerous issues and we will no longer be purchasing vehicles from them again. read more

Approximately 2 months ago my wife and I went to the dealership and after looking around and not finding what we wanted, gave all the information to a salesman who promised to plug it in and start searching for us. He indicated he would call us as soon as he found something...we are still waiting for that call.... STRIKE 1 2 weeks ago we found a car on the lot that we liked and made arrangements to purchase. Got passed off, but no big deal. Reserved the car and went to look at it on Friday and it had OBVIOUSLY been in a front end collision and had very poor repair done. Gaps were bad, fit and flushness were way out...but Donohoo said they could fix it. Called me on Saturday and said the car was ready...drove out there and evidently the "fixer" didn't have his glasses on because it was still pretty bad. STRIKE 2 After receiving reassurance from Donohoo that they would send it out to a professional body shop (bumper just needed to be dropped and reset to body), we proceeded to finalize finance. Long story short, Edwin the sales manager must not have taken his Xanax that day because after telling 1 out and out lie (he previously gave us $200 off the price of a vehicle when we started the search 2 months ago....but swore he didn't) he then smarted off that if we didn't like the deal, he could just put the car back on the lot. My only regret is not telling him where I think he SHOULD have put the car. We walked out and will not EVER set foot on property again! STRIKE 3 Fed this information back to Jay the General Manager, as feedback for his own CI. He indicated he would check into and follow-back up with me. Similar to his salesperson, we are still waiting on that call (you cannot make this stuff up! :-) STRIKE 4 (yea I know only 3 needed...) NOTE: this is not my first dealing with Donohoo as we have previously purchased 2 vehicles from them...suffice to say there will NEVER be a 3rd purchase. I found the car I was looking for at Donohoo Auto through autotrader.com. The price was much better than other dealers were offering for similarly equipped cars and its mileage was very low. There were quite a few pictures included with the listing, and I was able to view the car's Carfax report for further confirmation that the car was as presented. I live some 600 miles from Birmingham but have a friend there whom I asked to go check out the dealership and test drive the car for me. She reported back that the dealership was clean and busy, my salesman Edwin was courteous and professional, and that the car was in great shape. I contacted Edwin to put a deposit on the car and set in motion the process to purchase it. Edwin was very thorough in explaining Donohoo's deposit policy, and we were able to conduct the entire transaction via phone and email. I made arrangements to fly to Birmingham to pick up the car and drive it home. When I arrived at the dealership, the car was waiting out front and all of my paperwork was ready. The car was extremely clean, and everyone I encountered at Donohoo was polite, efficient and professional. I am thrilled with my car and with my experience at Donohoo. I would definitely purchase another car from Donohoo Auto and would highly recommend it to others. read more

First I would like to say that one of the main reasons we looked a Donohoo was because two friends of mine had great things to say beforehand, but also, I read a lot of the online reviews first. I am part of the generation that shops online first and reads all I can before even visiting any business establishment. If you have bad reviews, I will not even go there - fair or not, that is just how it is today. What really pleased me from the start was seeing great reviews but even more impressed to see that when there was a negative review, it seemed to be addressed online, which showed me the company really cared about its reputation both offline and in today perhaps more importantly, online. My rep was Edwin Leal and he, along with the finance departments, were very easy to work with. This review is just on our sales experience, we haven't had the car that long, so I can't comment on the quality or any initial problems - but the experience so far has been good. The company is a well run machine. We went on a Saturday after spending the last several weeks looking for a car that we liked. There is no pressure to buy anything - you go in, tell them the car or cars you are looking for, they bring them to the front and you test drive without them in the car. That was MUCH DIFFERENT than any other place we went, particularly with Car Max and dealers. For us, we had two cars that were the same except for color. The one we really liked has a couple of minor places on it that we hated looking at and so our sales person had the body shop go over the car again before we agreed to buy and see if they could make it look right. He told us right up front on what they could and couldn't do and once he drove the car back around, we couldn't even see the issues. After that we go in, review the price, which was already better than any other place we had looked, and get the purchase done. There isn't much negotiated on price, but it would have been hard to argue for a much lower price since there was nothing I could point to that was lower anywhere else with the same features. They did try to sell us an extended warranty, something I don't personally buy, but after discussing it, there was no pressure placed on me once I told Edwin that I just wasn't interested. For me personally the "peace of mind" isn't something I need to purchase. He made his case regarding the warranty and let me make a decision, and then after that didn't continue to press it. So it was no pressure. We had a fairly old vehicle that we got a fair trade on (fair compared to KBB, NADA, and two other places we had already looked) - so the trade was fair - not great - but exactly what I expected. We are going to be in the market for another car in just a few months and I will almost certainly go back to speak with Edwin again. The buying experience was great, I think the price was great, and so far the car is fine. But if I have an issue in the very near term with the car, based on the reviews, I feel Donohoo would help - either way I got a great car, with a good manufacture warranty, at a great price, with no pressure. They actually made buying cars fun, which it should be, when you are spending the money for a major purchase like a car. I see that people have driven, based on reviews, hundreds of miles to purchase from them and it is nice to know they are located in our back yard. A+ for Donohoo Auto I recently decided to buy a 2012 VW Passat 3.6 SEL with low miles, so I did online research and found that Donohoo had substantially lower prices for that model than any other dealer that I could find. Not only was I looking for a specific model, but I also wanted it with black exterior and black interior and Donohoo Auto had two. After calling a couple times over a week and appreciating the help I got from Brian and one of the managers earlier in the week, I decided to drive my Dodge Pickup(which I wanted to trade in) all the way from Lafayette, Louisiana to Pelham. Sunday evening I arrived there, got a hotel room, and showed up the next morning. I liked being able to test drive the two cars alone so I could pay attention to the cars and be thorough. Later, Brian, and others did a lot of work for me and I got to drive my new car home. It's a great car and I got a great deal. I've started a company that grew to roughly the size of Donohoo Auto. Therefore, I'm qualified on business models, how to run a company, how to treat customers, etc. I'm in the market for a late model high end Mercedes Benz. Before searching I did research on what wholesale, trade-in and retail is on my own car, which I will be trading. I started my search on the internet looking at my local Mercedes Benz dealerships. I found Donohoo Auto, LLC through vehicles they have listed either on autotrader, cargurus or ebay motors. They had nine Mercedes' of my liking from which to choose. All good at this point. There were some reviews on Yelp and other places where the co-owner, Pete, replied directly to comments (some positive and some negative) by customers and potential customers. This made me feel like the owner(s) were interested in serving their customers and in growing their business long term. All good at this point. I emailed the co-owner, to which his brother co-owner replied. We had two email exchanges about the potential transaction (trading my car for a car at Donohoo Auto, paying difference in cash). I told him I live 200 miles away in Atlanta, that I have a late model high end sports car (Porsche) with which to trade and that I was looking at one of his S-class Mercedes. He had every chance to tell me anything he needed that might give me pause. Something about how he does business, something about how he values trade-ins, etc. As I communicated, I drove the three hours, arrived precisely when I said I would and was greeted by a fresh faced cordial sales rep who knew my name. All good at this point. Since I emailed the owner, this sales rep knew precisely which cars I was interested in and had them pulled to the front. All good to this point. Simultaneously, I provided him with the keys to my Porsche so they could inspect it and provide an offer. He asked me the number I was expecting on my Porsche and I told him. My car is in excellent condition, super clean, no dents, dings, etc. I drove one of the cars, looked at the others then I was asked "do you want to look at the numbers"? We sat down and the sales rep proceeded to provide their trade offer on my car. Donohoo Auto insulted me by offering $8k less than what Autotrader's Instant Trade-In offer provides, to which another dealer only 10 miles from my home offered to meet. The sales person offered me reasoning saying "there's not much of a market for Porsche 911 C4S Cabriolet's around here." Well, judging on who was sitting in that dealership right in front of the sales person, it appears Donohoo Auto, LLC is not aware of their own market. The owner had the responsibility to know his sales model and understand that by me driving there I was going to be offered way under trade-in value - less than whoesale. But he did not! I shook the sales person's hand, thanked him for his time then departed the establishment to drive another 200 miles for a total of 400 miles and 8 hours. Waste of time! What have I learned? That Donohoo Auto, LLC located at 8122 Helena Rd, Pelham, AL 35124 is willing to lose a cash customer who might have a positive experience and tell his friends and associates. And that their business model is predicated on the "home run" philosophy. This model is their prerogative, but in the auto industry you as the buyer should find a dealer interested in hitting "singles" and "doubles" with the occasional triple. The dealer who is willing to insult potential customers on the value of their car is not a business interested in "earning" your business and serving you the next time you, your spouse and/or your kids need a car(s). The facts: - Donohoo Auto, LLC told me "there's not much of a market for Porsche 911 C4S Cabriolet's around here." - The owner of Donohoo knew the make/model/year and had the VIN of my Porsche - He should have communicated to me that "there's not much of a market for Porsche 911 C4S Cabriolet's around here" and I WOULD NOT HAVE WASTED MY TIME AND MONEY driving to his establishment. read more

I could not be happier with the service I received. I found a car online I was interested in and requested a test drive. I was extremely surprised at how hands off they were. They did not pressure or try to sell me the car. Their product sold itself. The used car was in excellent shape and very clean. The price was amazing. I shopped around for cars with the same mileage and condition and I found that they were much less than others. I even took it to a dealer to have it looked over and they were amazed at the condition and the price. The paperwork I expected to take a bit of time. Again, I was pleasantly surprised at how quick that process went. By the time I came back from the test drive I was in and out in less than 15 minutes. I hope I don't need to purchase another car for quite some time. But if I do, I know where I am going. read more

I have purchased 4 vehicles from Donohoo and felt compelled to let everyone know what a top notch group they have been to deal with on all my transactions. Having sold cars early in my career (20+ years ago) it's been a refreshing experience to see an organization do it right as much as they do. NO PRESSURE, NO STORIES, NO EXCUSES. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The car shopping process is as low key as you can imagine. Let them get a copy of your driver's license and you're free to drive as many of their cars as you want to find what you're looking for without the pressure of a salesperson riding along. After 30+ years of driving, and having made numerous vehicle purchases, I have never had a more pleasant experience than the two times I have purchased from Donohoo. They have an awesome web site that easily allows for a detailed search of their inventory. On our last visit I showed up and the car I was interested in was backed up to the the curb in front of the building as I had called ahead. After being greeted warmly by their two receptionists, and having my DL info collected, we were invited to take it for a test drive at our leisure with no other interaction from their sales staff. We took the next half hour to inspect and drive the car, and then met with a member of their sales team (Mark Hubbard) who gave us hard copies of the CarFax (also found in their web site listings) and Auto Check reports for the vehicle. All vehicles that I considered were priced very reasonably with respect to KBB Fair Purchase Price and NADA numbers. They advertise no haggle pricing, and I saw no reason to based on the research I had done. I asked for the vehicle to be put on a rack in their service department for a more thorough evaluation, and within 10 minutes I was walking underneath it with a flashlight. (NOTE: Their service department is quite clean and highly organized...pretty much what you would find at a new car dealership. Very impressive for a type A person like myself.) After about 15 - 20 to minutes to prepare the paperwork I was taken to their business manager to sign the documents and close the deal. I have never encountered another dealer that does business quite the way they do at Dononoo. My wife absolutely LOATHES car shopping as she has tagged along on too many visits to dealerships that lasted WAY too long (mostly in an attempt to pressure a sale). Her preference is for car shopping to be like dress shopping...go to the store...get directed to the appropriate department...pick out a few dresses...try them on...decide which one you like (can be more than one in dress shopping!)...head to a cashier...pay and leave. That's pretty much what you get when shopping at Donohoo. She actually enjoyed this purchase experience. That is a HUGE statement! I was dealing with a local dealer trying to find the car I wanted when he lead me to Donohoo Auto to test drive one he thought I would like. I was in Birmingham for the weekend so I figured I'd go take a look at it. I was told to ask for one of the managers and I believe his name is Jay.... this happened over a year ago so I can't remember his name for sure but such a terrible experience I had to write a review. I get there, drive the car by myself and when I get back to the lot I obviously have questions about the car. I have to go find this guy again to ask questions (huge place). When I get back to the car and start asking questions it was like I had completely ruined his day and the pure act of doing his job was impossible to him. Every question I asked him he basically wouldn't give me an answer and each time he spoke to me he was short with his words. I was confused and just couldn't understand why he'd want to speak to ANYONE this way, especially a potential buyer??? Now understand my situation- Local dealer lead me to him so it's not my responsibility to understand who's gonna get a slice of the pie when I sign on the dotted line. Is this guy going to sell me the car, is my dealer going to get it for me and sell it to me? I didn't know and I didn't care at the time. I needed a car and I was going to buy the first one I came across that I really wanted. It's their responsibility to figure out how this will work all while being nice and helpful to the customer. I wanted to know things about the car right then and there and THEN he finally told me after he'd shown his ass that I would have to speak to my dealer. I was so frustrated that I had to go through all that just to find out he didn't want to help me. It was not a normal car buying process for me and since I don't work in the industry nor do I buy cars ALL the time I expect these people to be as helpful and full of answers when I walk on there lot. I remember calling my dealer immediately after and saying "that guy just ruined a deal for you." It was such an uncomfortable experience. I have to agree with the other reviews about the cleanliness of the car. It was nasty. Nothing had been fixed, replaced, or cleaned to be made presentable to potential buyers. I purchased a car from Donohoo yesterday. I love my car and I couldn't find this particular color any where else so I was one of those stubborn teens who just had to have it! However, they WILL NOT deal at all. The prices you see on the website will not go down, at all. We hassled with the guy who we were put with for at least an hour. My grandmother was with me and she was ready to walk out on the deal. Another thing that I dont like is your not really dealing with one person, we dealt with four! (not counting the manager our dealer had to run back and fourth to). We were there for a total of 4 and a half hours. Needless to say, it was a long process when I wasnt expecting that. The quality of the car is great, I couldn't ask for a bettter car, just be ready to pay that pretty price tag when you get down there. We went thinking just like any other car dealer they will negotiate some. However, they do not. That's really my only complaint. read more

My husband and I drove all the way to DonohooAuto from Dallas,Texas to test drive a car, after doing a thorough research at our local dealerships we were unable to find exactly what we wanted. However Donohoo did have it and it was worth the drive, we received great! customer service from beginning to end. Our agent was great and answered all of our questions and concerns. My husband and I bought a car at Donahoo in December of 2014, we recently bought another car from Donahoo a couple months ago. Both experiences were great and we feel we got a great deal. However, the car we most recently bought was on the lot maybe 48 hours before we bought it. We drove home, over an hour away, and drove little over a couple of days. The week after our purchase I noticed how I seem to spin wheels when pulling out of my drive. When we looked more closely we noticed the tires were so bad, steel was showing in two of them on the inside. I immediately called the dealership and told them about the slick tires. They were so apologetic and said the car was only on lot a few days and just slipped through inspection. They drove to my home, got the car and drove back to put on 4 new tires. Best place to by a used car. absolutely NO Pressure, great attitude from the staff is excellent as well. this was my second car from them, so I traded the first purchase for the new one I got. They gave me a great deal on my trade with 3% financing! You can shop and purchase online or go to the dealership and walk around and look. NOBODY will approach you. I think the biggest thing for me is that they let you look around without bothering you. I will NOT walk on the lot of a new car dealer unless it is after hours because I need TIME TO LOOK without having a salesman breathing down my neck. At Donahoo, when YOU find the car you like or cars you like, they graciously pull them to the front, crank them and open the door for you to take it on a test run all by yourself. ( I like that) After driving two cars, it took less that thirty minutes for me to drive off in a smoking hot Mercedes Benz. My next car will come from here too! We closed the deal and all of the paperwork was neatly prepared and placed together so that when I walked in the door to get my new tag, the lady said " Oh this will be easy. They do such a great job of having everything together". I was in and out in five minutes. I'd give them 6 stars if that was an option. read more

We drove just over 250 miles one way to visit Donohoo. I was impressed from the very first. It is a very efficient process. The ladies at the front desk are masterful in the way they manage this great waltz of people pulling up in one vehicle and jumping into another and back down the highway. It is easy to see why this place moves over 300 cars a month. You want coffee, ice water, hot chocolate? No problem they have it there for free. We arrived with a list of 10 cars and it didn't phase them. I only had three pulled up for us to drive before making our decision. I got $4,000 more for my trade and bought my E350 saving at least $3,650 according to Car Gurus. They caught an issue just as we were getting ready to leave and immediately took the car into the service area and immediately started the repair. They gave us the keys to a really nice car and we went to lunch while the repair was in process. It was very much worth the long drive and very long day. We are very satisfied. Bryan Minter was easy to work with and when our car had to go to service he stayed with it until it was repaired. It's impressive customer service. read more

I was in the market to purchase a vehicle in the last month and went to Donohoo after I had looked at several of their cars on the internet. I was totally turned off from the first second I walked in the dealership. I was not even allowed to speak to the sales person that I had been communicating with in email until I handed over my driver's license and gave them #'s of the cars I was intersted in looking at ---- as if I knew their inventory numbers. When I objected to this process, I was able to speak to the sales person who then identified some cars for me to test drive. One of the cars reaked of smoke so bad it knocked me over when I opened the door to just look in. I test drove another car and liked it and was ready to purchase; even though I was hesitant to give this place my business. I was told to have a seat in the lobby and the finance manager would get with me to work out a the deal. I sat there over 2 hours while other folks came and went and not a single sole even bothered to give me an update. Finally after 3 hours of ZERO communication(which was stupid on my part to sit there that long), I finally flagged down the sales person and told him I had to go. He said he understood and they would call me that afternoon with an update. I never heard a damn word from them! Are you telling me you have that much business that you cna ignore a buying customer sitting in your dealership? Thank goodness it didn't work out and I took my business to a real dealership and purchased a brand new car from a group of people that appreciated me and my business and were not ashamed to let me know they did. I will tell everyone I know in the market for a car to stay far away from this horrible place. read more

I contacted Donohoo via cars.com and communicated with their saleman, Carson via email about one vehicle that I really liked. We agreed on the price via email and I was ready to drive 9 hours to pick up the car. However, the blank check from my bank did not arrive on time due to delay by FedEx. I contacted the dealer and spoke to a nice closing manager, Mike, and he explained all available options in details without waiting for the check to arrive. My whole family took a road trip to the dealer the next day and got greeted by a friendly receptionist. She asked someone to bring the car upfront for us to test drive. After 20 minutes of test drive the car, we came back and met our saleman. He was friendly and professional. The paperworks were done around 30 minutes by Marci and we were ready to head home with our new car. The car was in excellent condition and super clean. We drove it back home without any issue. Donohoo has better price than my local greedy dealerships and it's worth the 9 hours trip. read more

I purchased a 2002 VW Passat in 2005. I drove from North Georgia to Pelham, Alabama. Met a salesperson (very rude and unprofessional) and looked at the car we had noticed advertised on the internet. We notice the looked a little out of line, but figured it was in a minor collision. Like fools, after being smarted off to we purchased the vehicle (one of the biggest mistakes of my life). We start on our way home and it sounded like the car was hitting speed bumps in the road. We took it back and they put a set of used tires on the car and said the issue was water in the tires (2nd sign of a wreck-car had set outside with flat tires from where it had been wrecked). The car drove better on the way home. after about two months, I noticed that they tires did not wear even. The car had basically been hit so hard on the left front that is should have been a totaled vehicle. They buy wrecked vehicles and have them repaired. Go to a real dealership and spend the extra $1,000. This place is a nightmare and I seriously can't believe they are still in business. read more
