Don's Appliances is a local appliance company who have been very reliable the 2-3 times I've called them. Excellent customer service. They get the job done quickly and are reasonable priced. They do charge a service fee which is used toward the repair cost, as long as they do an actual repair. So if you have an older appliance, you are kind of rolling the dice if your problem is not cost effective to repair. But with that said, they are honest about it up front. They recently repaired an old fridge which cost about $150, but the tech pretty much said if the thing breaks down again, don't even bother trying to fix it. In this day and age of terrible customer service, it was so nice to finally deal with a company that knows how to treat customers. Brianna (Office gal) answered my call right away and scheduled Josh (Technician) to come out to look at my LG washer. Josh showed up exactly as scheduled and determined that it needed drainage pump motor. Ordered the part (no company can stock everything and I understand this completely) and came back to install it when he said he would. Fair price, great customer service, and Josh put up with my 3 dogs barking at him! All around a good company to deal with and I won't hesitate to call them again when needed. Called and left a message to make an appointment to fix my laundry dryer. The woman called back within an hour to get the details on my machine, make, model, and how old it was. It was making a horrible squeaking noise, but would go away after it warmed up. She said that it would cost around $400 to fix, yet with the age of the machine it wouldn't be worth it. 1-2 weeks after our initial visit from Don's Appliances we started experiencing similar problems with our AC (air not as cold, leaking water in the house from coils). The same service technician, Anthony, came back out to our house to do further investigations. He found additional issues contributing to the original problem, which sadly aren't solvable without replacing the unit. It was clear that he was trying hard to solve our problem, though, and he even made a point to fit us into his schedule before the heatwave. The repair was explained to me and I was given some options with information regarding warranty for parts and labor. I elected to have the oven controller board refurbished since the OEM was unavailable due to the age of the unit. This saved me thousands of dollars necessary to replace the unit. Anthony did a great job! We had some issue with our Bosch dishwasher and did not know how to fix the problem. I made an appointment with Don's Appliance over the phone with a receptionist, and 30 minutes before arrival, Anthony sent me a text to let me know he was driving over. Upon arrival, Anthony immediately started work on the dishwasher and located the issue in all but 30 seconds. He then helped drain out our dishwasher and gave us ample tips and instructions on how to properly maintain and clean our dishwasher so that we can limit future issues. After 15 great years my washer finally gave out. After looking at several local places I settled on Don's and used the website to create a service request. I heard back from Breanne within a business day and had an appointment scheduled within the week. Anthony was our technician and we had a two hour service window of which Anthony texted both an approximate time within the window and again 20 mins. before he arrived. Although every effort was made to save it, the repair was going to be expensive and we decided to buy a new one.
