Just had a very bad experience with Don's Mobile Glass in Manteca. Our original plan was intended to fix our slightly leaning shower glass door for our shower stall. After the readjustment of the glass door, $260, was done by a technician David, we found a 14.5" long crack, about a feet away from the job site, in the shower wall. The crack was quite long and noticeable. Called the manager Christine, and she of course denied the crack was caused by them. An overpowered screwing, nailing, force, pressure and vibration altogether caused the crack to happen somehow unfortunately. But their attitude of dealing with our complaint was nowhere helpful. First is the denial and rejection against our claim, and secondly is the unwillingness to provide us a remedy for a damaged shower wall. Thirdly is no direct response from the company for an apology or a proposal for such damage to be fixed. Satisfaction is NOT GUARANTEED. My property is harmed and damaged. I eat the cost and take the loss that caused by them. The way they are running their business is not acceptable! This serves a NEW response to the owner's comment received three (3) hours ago. After reviewing the owner's response, we wanted to reiterate the crack in the shower wall is a brand new crack, no previous filling or caulking or whatsoever. I sent some better photos of the crack to the manager Christine on Oct 17, 23. I talked to her right after I sent the new photos, and she said she could see the crack better, and there was no previous filling or caulking in the crack. The company and Christine tried to claim the crack was already there to protect them from any potential liability. But truth is the TRUTH. That is, the shower wall was perfectly fine, no crack or scratch or whatsoever. The crack is brand new after the shower glass door was readjusted, most likely caused by David's over screwing, nailing, pressure and vibration while readjusting the leaning glass door. What Don's Mobile Glass's repetitive refusal and denial just showed they were NOT HONEST business, and they tried to shift the blame to us regardless with no professional attitude. David the technician from Don't Mobile Glass is the only person working in our shower glass area. The shower glass wall was fine with not damage. After the shower door readjustment, a 14.5" long crack has appeared and it is about a feet away from David's job site. Oh well, why such a normal glass business didn't want to face the consequences and kept its business principles right? No satisfaction is GUARANTEED. It was just so SAD that this self-claimed 60+ years in business could not stay straight and resolve issues professionally! This is a business you CAN'T trust. read more

for an Office Door for my home office: Outstanding, the installers got the measurements correct the first time and they were able to provide expert advice. they fussed over every detail during the install, the cost was more than I would have hoped for, however the end result speaks for itself. . Finally I can have some isolation from the MIL and the orchestra of noises. Installers also cleaned up. The install took about a day with 2 weeks to order the glass an apply the tinting. read more

Went through my insurance to have a chip in my windshield fixed and called and scheduled with dons mobile glass because I had a new car and I really didn't trust safe lite glass with a new car. They came out within the specified time frame, the gentleman explained the process and told me since it was closer to the bottom of the glass that the chance of it cracking was higher. He fixed my glass perfectly and I can't even tell that there was a chip there. I wanted 7 window screens replaced with a darker screen. don's mobile glass only replaced 6 screens, but charged me with 7. I told them to replaced the one screen, but they said that it was not needed. it is silver. Can you please change the screen to what I want. they said they could, but I will be charged. total disapointment. the lady wasn't very nice. read more

Insurance recommended Don's. Came to the house, was quick, courteous and clean. Very happy with the workmanship and labor.

Aftermarket windshield is not same grade as Oem. There is no solar protection on aftermarket. Found out that I should have ordered OEM windshield that has solar protection. Service took a whole day, but paperwork said it was completed by noon! Didn't get a call back about if my car was ready. I called at 4:30 to verify. A plastic cover over windshield sensor was not taped back on, until I noticed it before leaving shop. Scheduling was good. Service needs improvement. Customer service needs more follow ups in a timely manner. read more

I am pretty impressed. I had to push back my appointment several times due to scheduling conflicts as my days off are limited, they were very accommodating. I've been procrastinating fixing my passenger side door for quite sometime. I had my car window broken into and after it was replaced the door would not open correctly from the inside. Over the weekend in San Francisco, I had 2 windows vandalized and some personal belongings stolen out of our New 2016 Chevrolet Suburban with less than 2k miles on the truck. I instantly had my insurance approve the replacement of the glass and I immediately yelped the best "Mobile Glass Replacement" in the Central Valley. I decided to go with "Don's Mobile Glass", my insurance company recommended "Covenant Auto Glass", after looking at the reviews, I demanded that my glass be replaced by "Don's Mobile Glass". I called the Modesto store and spoke to Mikala and she was very helpful in terms of getting everything coordinated with my insurance company and setting up the appointment. The installer (Con) showed up on time and did call 20 minutes before he arrived. Con was very thorough explaining what he was going to do. During the installation, he always made sure not scratch the paint during the installation. Based on my observation, Con has been doing this for a while and has very good knowledge about how things are constructed. After both windows where installed he spend the necessary time to clean up all the broken glass in and outside of the vehicle. I'm sure ownership realizes that they have a very valuable associate. Although no chip in a windshield can disappear after a repair they did quite a good job. They took our car in quickly and the repair was done in about 30-45 minutes. The showroom was very clean and the staff super courteous! Price was excellent and when we are ready to replace our Toyota windshield we will not hesitate in taking it to this place. read more

Just an update from my last review. I wanted to give 3.5 stars, but not quite sure on how to do it. We did receive a call from the manager to bump up our appointment, which was great. As promised, I received a phone call from the technician to let me know they were on their way to do the installation. They were quick and did a good job, except for I can see what seems to be like some black adhesive in one area between the glass and frame (see photo). I guess it's not such a big deal, since you can only see it from the outside. In between the glass, you can see a silver metal track, which is kind of an eye sore. You can see that in the picture as well. I thought it was going to be the same as the one we had, which was white and blends in with everything else. We also noticed the little frames that are around the window on the outside are pretty loose. I just hope that when the rain comes, water doesn't leak in. read more
