Just an update from my last review. I wanted to give 3.5 stars, but not quite sure on how to do it. We did receive a call from the manager to bump up our appointment, which was great. As promised, I received a phone call from the technician to let me know they were on their way to do the installation. They were quick and did a good job, except for I can see what seems to be like some black adhesive in one area between the glass and frame (see photo). I guess it's not such a big deal, since you can only see it from the outside. In between the glass, you can see a silver metal track, which is kind of an eye sore. You can see that in the picture as well. I thought it was going to be the same as the one we had, which was white and blends in with everything else. We also noticed the little frames that are around the window on the outside are pretty loose. I just hope that when the rain comes, water doesn't leak in. read more

8-24-2021 Reached out to Don's Glass in efforts in obtaining a quote for replacement windows for my entire home ( 15 windows ). Speaking with Freddy he was friendly, i think they may need to work with him as it pertains to his customer service skills - he asked if I had measurements , I said no. So he asked if they were going to need to come out to measure. He asked if I had double pane windows - I responded yes , he then asked if I wanted single or double pane windows. He then informs me they were booked and would be able to come out until 9-23-2021. I think that was just the confirmation I need to go else where. My expectation is for someone to help me make decisions for a more efficient home and with the question he was asking it appeared he lacked the communication skills to make a Potentinal customer comfortable and leave an impression that they know the window business. Maybe they are more equipped to handle car windshield business , but I would not recommend them for home replacement windows. read more

Painfully slow and disorganized.... I want to use this company because I like using the best and they have good reviews, however it is painfully difficult to get them to do anything. I've had to call back many times just to schedule measurements for a glass enclosure for my shower and some kitchen cabinet glass. To give you an idea of how slow these guys are, I was able to schedule the tile work for my bathroom and my kitchen backsplash, wait 6 weeks for them to come and take a week and a half to complete everything and still the tile guys were done a month ago! They did come back to measure once the tile guys were done and told me someone would be coming out this week to complete the install and that they would call me last week to schedule this. Well I didn't get a call. Literally every step of the way I've needed to call back because they plan the next step with me on the phone and then never follow up or follow through... Based on how many good reviews this company has, I'm happy to see that most have not had the bad experience that I have had and I hope that nobody else has to deal with this extremely poor customer service as I have. This company most likely understands that the people a company hires as the frontline to their customers or prospective customers is one of the main keys to gaining trust and business. With that said, this company has great reviews so I may just be dealing with the few within this company who are destroying my first impression of the business. I took my 2017 mega cab here to get the rear window replace, I love the fact dons mobile is in the same city I live in and I'm about supporting local business. I was referred here I called the GM Tiffany and then spoke to Lupe and throughout the whole process they made it so smooth and just so helpful explaining everything with a happy heart and gave me a discount like they say they would, the customer service that I received here was top notch, exceeded expectations if I can give it a 10 stars I would, some business can really learn from this establishment, I drop off my truck spoke with the staff and everyone I spoke with was very helpful and so nice, I was asking myself what's going on here why am I getting treated VIP status, I guess this is how they genuinely operate. Very nice people over the phone, but the work is really really bad. The appointment time range is from 1:00 pm- 5:00 pm. WTF? Who has time to spend half the day waiting for them? Well, in an emergency situation, we did. Guess what, they didn't even show up after several confirmations. No calls or nothing. When we called to find out what happened, the lady just said the installer got busy and he will come out again. No apologies or anything. When the work was actually done, they trims were left with big chunks where water could collect on the windows. Big disappointment. Nice people, but doesn't make up for crappy work. read more

Worst experience and work I have ever had from a glass company. It all started mid December 2012. We were having some work done @ Geweke RV in Lodi. We needed the windshield in our Class A beautiful Monaco motor home replaced. Geweke uses Dons as a sub. Well they broke the first one putting it in but said we could take it on a trip we were planning. Drove it to Sacramento when raining and had a flood inside. Cancelled the trip. Back to Geweke. They put in the second windshield and didn't break it but when I went to pick it up the new gasket they put in was all beat up, scared, buckled and looked terrible. Also put a dime size chip in the paint above the drivers side. The caulking job looked as though it was done by a 1st grade child. Take it back and you guessed it broke the next windshield. Geweke repaired the chip and back charged Don's. Just got it back today and picked it up. The rubber gasket was not properly cleaned the caulking much better but needs some touch up which I will do myself. I give them a D- and that is because they didn't break the glass on the third try. Lloyd went the extra mile and actually cleaned both my side windows and side mirrors when he did my windshield ... Oh yes, he did !!!!!! Lloyd was sure to explain the procedure he would be doing prior to the windshield replacement, great idea. Very impressed with their professionalism from the start. Responded back to me quickly on my request for a price quote via email ...actually thanking me for trusting and allowing them to do the windshield replacement. I'm SUPER late on this review but... I chipped my windshield on March 8, 2017. On March 9, 2017 I reached out to a few people on yelp and David L. , the owner of Don's Mobile Glass, was the first one to respond to my message. I told him about my chip and he gave me an AMAZING OFFER! I went the next day, March 10, 2017 and got it filled. Turns out there wasn't one, but TWO CHIPS! It took an hour because they were so close together... The man working on my windshield wasn't sure if he would be able to repair it without the entire windshield cracking, but he did! Also, the receptionists in the lobby were very kind and constantly informing me about my repair. Thank you sooo very much to Don's Mobile Glass! You guys are amazing ! read more

Brought my car here to get the windshield replaced. Pricing was decent and I was able to get in quickly. Unfortunately, when I went to pick up my car there were a few problems with it. First, the molding at the bottom of my windshield was folded over. They were able to push it down and fix that problem. Then, I went to get in my car to leave and my rear view mirror fell off. I tried to put it back and couldn't get it. I told the receptionist and he came out and tried to fix it but couldn't. Why wouldn't the technician who replaced the windshield check for these before telling me the car was ready? If I'm paying for a "quality" service, why should I have to come back in 3 times in order to make sure everything's on correctly? The receptionist who helped me was very kind and a little embarrassed that his technician overlooked these minor but potentially problematic issues. 3 stars since I had to be the QC person to make sure my car was just as good as it was when I dropped it off. If you're bringing your business here, make sure to inspect before you leave. read more

After having a window busted in on the Tuesday night, I called my insurance company for advice in the morning. They offered the numbers to two auto glass locations. I chose Don's because he was mobile and would come out to my house to fix my window, so I didn't have to take time off from work to get it done. I got friendly service over the phone to schedule a same day appointment. The technician called about 15 minutes before arrival, which was great. He also found my house which can be difficult, since I live out in a very rural area. The tech was courteous and professional, giving me a time estimate for the job being done, which was completely accurate. Main point: If I ever need a window replaced again, I wont hesitate to call Don's. read more

Update: I received a call from store manager apologizing and asking if we could please give them a chance to make this right. I am upgrading to two stars because of this manager making a genuine effort to help. The "seasoned employee" came out and every question we had was responded to why they can't do it or won't do it. We then received the quote that was double of everyone else we contacted. I really did try and keep it local. I'm not sure why their prices are double. And sometimes it is worth looking into specific requests instead of being negative. We spent 5500.00 and Lowe's received our money. read more

They scheduled an appointment for 8-10 and called me promptly at 8 to let me know they were on their way and would be to my house by 8:30. They arrived and did an excellent job replacing my window. When I posted my first review I had no idea that I would be contacted. Don's definitely cares about customer service and goes out of their way to provide excellent customer service. Messaged them through yelp to ask for an estimate, they were very fast in responding and had someone contact me a little bit later to set up an appointment. Keisha was great and scheduled the appointment for me, she even went beyond to call me back to confirm a few things about my car as the information I'd given them was wrong and she almost ordered the wrong windshield, (my bad!!). When I originally contacted Don's Mobile Service through Yelp, I received a prompt phone call to schedule an estimate. Good. The technician arrived on Wednesday 6/13/18 as scheduled. Good. He said we would hear from Don's Mobile within 24-48 hours regarding the cost of the estimate. It is well past that time frame and we haven't heard from Don's Mobile. Not Good. He was professional and a pleasure to talk to. Lots of experience for his young age. I had my 2021 Honda Accord for approximately 1 month before I got a chip on the freeway.
