Love love love there pizza. They are close to our home and we eat in and take out pizza regularly. I like thin crust and we ask for well done so crust be crispy. Their salads are good and very large. Service is great. Prices are reasonable. Highly recommend. read more

(Cassano's and Marion's are close runners-up) A nice little mom-and-pop place in a small town. Service was friendly and efficient. Limited dine-in area, seems like more of a takeout place. Most popular pizza place in Germantown. It's been there forever in one form or another. They do a lot of deliver and pick up. Also has a dining area. The pizza is the best tasting in town. I had a calzone. It's about $10 for most calzones. This one had mushrooms and onions. It was good crust, not cardboard tasting like many chains. The one problem here was the wait. It wasn't even busy that afternoon, but it took over 30 minutes for one calzone. This still tasted pretty good. It's been in town forever. It's partly because there aren't that many options to eat at. They put out good products in spite of iffy service. read more

The ride was far, especially when you're sure not where you're going and it just as bad driving at night. But, Dan's Pizza Palace made and served very good pizza. It was delicious, cut in squares, with edge to edge toppings. The thin crust was baked to perfection and not gummy, like Cassano's Pizza, tends to be. I was very surprised how much it looked like "Pappa Pizza Palace," 412 S. First Street, Miamisburg, Ohio, and I mean practically identical by appearance and taste. There's restaurant was clean, comfortable and had multiple TV's on the wall, that was tuned into ESPN, which I enjoyed watching while waiting for my order. Their staff was friendly and professional. I've been here twice with my cariño, who is a Germantown native, I'm from Dayton, over the span of many months. I really enjoy the old pizza parlor feel complete with picnic-style tablecloths and circus memorabilia on the walls. Large assortment of drinks and sodas in the cooler cases, even ice cream treats in a freezer. We ordered the same thin-crust pizza with sausage, green olives, and mushrooms both times and it was consistently tasty doctored up with some pepper, salt, and chili peppers. Next time I'll try parmesan cheese on it too and some of the sides. Order your pizza, have a seat, then they bring it out, and it doesn't take long. read more

My boyfriend is a native of Germantown and he has been hyping up Don's pizza for the last week before we were to visit his parents house. We came in to help clean their attic and move some furniture for them so we worked up a big appetite before finally getting to order some food. We all looked at the menu before ordering and placed a fifty dollar order, where I had to repeat myself several times and the person taking the order didn't seem to be paying attention. The cost was high in my opinion but my boyfriend said it was worth it. Unfortunately after the extremely long wait time and getting the pizza back home after picking it up, my pizza was wrong. I was really hungry and didn't notice my first piece but then I realized. We called and were told it would be another really long wait time. As everyone was eating their food I totally ate some of the pizza... This isn't abnormal people get incorrect food and eat some of it or all of it and have their order replaced. Once they finally got to the house with the pizza the person replacing the pizza asked for payment first, then said we had to give the wrong one back once they realized it was a remake. Then they said "it's messed up" that I ate some of the pizza.... I have never been so offended by having a business make a mistake and then me request them fix it. This is absolutely ridiculous. It doesn't matter that they've lost a customer of my boyfriend but they've lost his parents business and that will hurt them. I'd recommend skipping this place if you're considering ordering them because they don't care about their customers & if something does go wrong then you better not nibble on it if you're hungry because it doesn't matter if they're wrong or not. read more

We go the thin crust - not sure if they have any other crust - with everything (minus anchovies). I got half jalapenos, because I like to spice it up. All in all, it was a great pizza. I have ordered from Don's before, several times. Lasagna was good and the Pizza really good. What is terrible is the Spaghetti. Bland, far too tart, meatballs were chunks of hamburger. This is the worst place to eat a pizza gross unbussed tables, waitress has no idea what she is doing, managers are completely rude, Pizza tastes like toppings were put on a tortilla chip due to all the salt on the bottom of the crust. There are several Mom and Pop Pizza Shops in the Dayton, Ohio area. Don's Pizza Palace is my favorite. They may not have the classiest dining room, or the nicest building, but boy do they have the best pizza in the area. Most places, that look like a hole in the wall, usually do. The pizzas are thin crusts and they are not perfectly round. These pizzas are hand made. They are a liitle salty. But, who cares. That's where the beer and sodas come into play at. Don's is located in Germantown, Ohio. They're family owned and operated. I can't imagine them being rude. Usually when small businesses are operated by rude personnel, they don't last very long.
