Average Pizza... We decided to order carry out from Ron's for the first time, as we've heard it's better than Marion's... That's a stretch, at best. To start with our salads were brown and wilted, which leads me to believe they were premade a day ahead of time (unacceptable). Also, they give you store bought Italian dressing, which shouldn't happen either at a pizzeria. The pizza itself was ok - I give it a Portnoy 6.2. It was loaded with toppings (but the mushrooms and peppers were out of a can), the sauce was decent, but the pizza was very uncooked... The center of the pizza was very doughy and soft (probably needed another 5 mins in the pizza oven). Never the less, not great pizza, but not terrible either... Miamisburg sad hoppin' tonight! Lots of people/families out and about town. Restaurants were busy too. We decided to try Ron's tonight and sat on the patio. The atmosphere was okay - It was okay, kinda of noisy - the speaker volume was turned up too high. Morgan was our server and did a great job! We ordered 2 house salads and a large 1/2 sausage/pepperoni and 1/2 tomato, onion, mushroom. The pizza arrived all covered in pepperoni/sausage with 1/2 tomato, onion, mushroom. Must have been a miscue (or Morgan couldn't hear us over the speaker) so we decided to eat it as is - it was hot, crispy - good! The salads were fresh and tasty - ranch is very good! The pizza is good except for the dark spots on the bottom of the crust, which quite possibly could be some sort of dirt. Really solid spot! We rolled in with 8 people at the perfect time as more folks trickled in just after we did. Our server was super friendly and communicative as we waiting on our final guest to park and join. We ordered a few adult beverages after a hard days work and they came out pretty quickly! The kids 'demanded' breadsticks for their table.. which we promptly agreed to in double. they were warm, tasty and overall just delicious. For pizza, we did a couple larges for our group of 8, 4 kids & 4 adults. Had a cheese and pepperoni, then a bacon, banana pepper and ham. The pizza's had a good chunk of toppings on them and overall a very nice balance of meat, cheese and sauce. They are 'thin'-ish pizza.. but the toppings give them a bit of girth. They were cooked very well, nice crispiness and singed edges. The 2 pizza's were the perfect amount for our group.. not a single piece leftover. I have been going to Ron's for a long time and today I was so disappointed. I stopped there and my family and I ordered 3 sandwiches and 3 drinks and the bill was $44.00. Next my husband and I ordered pork tenderloin sandwiches and they were horrible. Nothing on the bread but the pork not anything else. My daughter ordered a sub and you had to really look for the meat and it was supposed to have bacon and it had bacon bits (gross). The waitress did not have a clue about anything on the menu or what came with the meals. She was nice enough just no knowledge about the menu. She never offered anything like mayo or anything for the sandwich we had to ask and she brought a little package not even enough for our sandwiches. She just did not know anything about being a waitress. $9.98 for a bun and a piece of pork was ridiculous. In the past pizza was not bad but the food we got today was horrible. I would be careful about ordering bar drinks. The person doing the bar did not have a clue on how to mix drinks. This place's quality has gone downhill and prices way up. We love this pizza, so I hate leaving this review. Tonight totally rubbed us the wrong way though & I felt compelled to review. We stopped in on our visit in town with family & placed a carry out order of wings and a large deluxe pizza. We sat down to wait. No one offered to get us water or anything and after 25m we got up to check & pay. We were informed ours was "almost ready". Another 20m goes by and nothing. An employee apparently heard us discussing our discontent with waiting and asked what we were waiting for. Umm, FOOD? I told her our order and I walked away, let my husband deal with the rest. Two minutes later, he walked out with the pizza and wings. He was shy of asking for a refund. The icing on the pie, I took a piece out in the car and it was barely warm. FIFTY MINUTES FROM TIME TO ORDER TO OUR HANDS. UNACCEPTABLE Edible. But far from hot. Thank goodness for microwaves. We received no apologies for the nearly hour long wait. Like Marion's, when you're in the mood for it, it is good. But there are by far better places for pizza in Dayton/Cincy area. I prefer Ron's over Marion's by a couple points. 1- because Miamisburg is my hometown. 2- their sausage is god tier 3- their mushroom steak sandwich is god tier as well A fantastic patio to get a cold one or two to drink and have some decent pizza and food. Sat down and waited over twenty minutes. Waitress said that she did not see us sitting there. While it's understanding when you're short staffed, the problems continued. The restaurant got full and we waited 45 minutes for our pizza. Everyone who sat down after us began to get their food and I asked the waitress if she could please go check on our food. When the food arrived, it was warm at best but the plates were very hot. This indicates it sat under the heat lamp for an extended period of time. During that time we didn't see the waitress at all, so I find it hard to believe she was that busy. The crust in the middle of the pizza was completely soft and just fell over when trying to eat it. I always respect the fact that times are tough and staffing doesn't help. In this case I'm not sure why our food outcome was different. Especially with two small children. We went on a Pizza adventure thought that Ron's Pizza was supposed to be very One of the better pizza places in the area upon arrival there was not a lot of people there should've been a first clue as soon as we got our pizza we took one bite everybody knows the rules and it was not that good actually subpar at best. Recommended by a friend we were meeting. The pizza smelled awesome when we walked in. When our friend met us we went to the bar area and got a booth. Our server was very friendly and did a great job. We ordered a pizza with bacon, ham, pepperoni and sausage. The ham on the pizza was big slices. I prefer ham to be cut up or shredded but made due. The sauce reminded me of Pizza King of days gone by. Pizza had a great flavor even though it was slightly burnt around the edges. Hands down my favorite pizza of all time. I grew up on Cassano's like the little bit of Marion's but nothing tops Ron's. I believe it's the sausage. I know he's a Browns fan but I look by that we all have faults. If you don't go and sit down and eat pizza in Ron's. You're making a mistake of a lifetime. First time in Miamisburg. Went to pick up my Turkey Trot registration package at the Baum Opera House. Came in Ron's to get some coffee to go. Wasn't greeted, and the guy looked really annoyed when I approached him to ask where I could order to go. And once I said I just wanted coffee, he looked even more annoyed. But he did ask if I wanted anything with it (cream and sugar I assume). This place was clean, and seemed like a cool corner restaurant in town. It was the day before Thanksgiving so it was pretty dead. While the guy was getting the coffee, a woman asked if I needed help. She was very friendly and polite. I missed out on trying their pizza, but not sure when the next time I will be in Miamisburg...so this is my review solely on the coffee and to go service. So please take with a grain of salt if you will. read more

Hey Ron's Pizza? What's up with calling in a pizza for pick-up and then going to your carry-out facility to pick it up - only to then find out we needed to go DOWNTOWN for the pizza? The people at the carry-out location said "Oh, that happens ALL the time!!". Seriously Ron's? One might think a business that's been around as long as you would have made the carry-out process virtually full-proof to avoid annoying your customers. Oh, and I forgot to mention, what are all that dark spots on the bottom of your crusts? This substance appears on the bottom of some of the cut pieces, but not all of them. It's not char (which would be acceptable)... but, rather it looks like darkish, grainy DIRT. We are not real happy at all after dropping $18 bucks for pizza that we hardly could eat after seeing the dirty looking bottom of the crust. read more

Don't listen when they tell you they are known for their Steak and Mushroom sandwich. Was expecting real steak or at least thin sliced. What came out was a TV dinner like processed Salisbury steak patty with mushroom sauce layered on it. Truly disappointing. In fact a TV dinner tastes better. Employees were wearing masks as required due to COVID-19 and initially felt pretty safe right up until I witnessed one of the waitresses start hugging customers who were not wearing masks. I have gone to Ron's since it was located where the CVS is now- long time fan. The Reuben pizza is something you can't find anywhere else - that pizza is 5 stars- even for close to $13 for a small, its still worth it. It's unique and tasty. A couple nights ago my sister and I stopped in, they were rather dead. It took nearly 20 minutes until a waiter finally came over and brought us our drinks. By that time were exchanging nervous glances like maybe we should have popped in to Bullwinkles next door instead. Close to 45 minutes after we sat down, we got our food. I was shocked at how slow our service was considering there were maybe a dozen other patrons in there at the time. The chicken tastes reheated- chewy. I didn't even bother finishing it after a few bites. The baked beans were tasteless. They were reminiscent of cafeteria style bbq beans that may have come from a giant can. I was thoroughly disappointed. The places one saving grace is their unique pizza. The prices are high considering the food quality. It's just not the Ron's I remembered. We might drop back in later this summer for the Reuben pizza, but that will be the only thing that draws us back. There are simply too many other better places to eat with better service in the immediate vicinity. read more

The food is good and the patio is awesome but if you sit on the patio and you're not a regular don't sit at the tables near the bar. The regular bartender (male) has absolutely no personality and always gives the "if it weren't for the customers I could get my work done around here" service. 1st off, I stop by here maybe every other month and typically, we have no issues as I do not expect "fast food" here. I do expect a reasonable amount of attention, decent food, and fully expect to see somebody I know. This time, however, I was beyond shocked at the rudeness I experienced in the patio area. Setting the stage...a rain shower had passed through and we were first to repopulate the patio aside from the 4 GOB's at the bar that the bartender was talking to. I understand I was first back to the patio so I said "Hi" to the bartender to make certain he knew we were there and sat down with my family...total of 4 of us. After sitting down and waiting for a few minutes, like almost 5 of them, I went inside and inquired who was covering the patio since the Bartender was thoroughly engaged in an animated discussion on some facet of 'Burg life. Answer, Oh, the Bartender has it until there are several tables occupied. Cool, by now there were two tables occupied so I went to stand at the bar to get some drink orders in. No luck. The dude made eye contact with me after I stood there rather patiently for at least two minutes...AND HE TURNED HIS BACK ON ME!...and went back to his conversation. What the? Nope, I am not going to be a Horse's Patotie about this...I scooped up the family and departed for Bullwinkle's. This was the first time I have ever walked out of Ron's with anything other than a full belly. I was actually seething...and made it a point to see the manager as I left...can't fix a problem if you don't know you have a problem. As expected, he defended his employee...I get that, and I saw this whole complaint as a failed cause since he was waaay too quick to defend. Time to go, they don't want my money, we're cool. That said, as I walked away I heard him mutter to another employee "Again?"...really, again? You knew about this? And you don't fix it? Kind of sad, really... OK, so I'm done with Ron's until at least the turning of the leaves. Definitely no patio for me until next year. Maybe they've fixed the problem...don't care, far too many other patio options in Da 'Burg. read more
