I was hoping for a slice deal and swung in today to find a lunch deal for 2 slices and a drink for $8.99. Service was great, and the restaurant was very clean, and friendly. It was nearly 12:00 noon with only one server who was working her but off to keep up and let me tell you she did. She was the only one in the dining area and did an amazing job. I don't know what they pay her but it isn't enough. She was around my age and probably in her 60's. She rocked it and it would probably take a half a dozen of this newer generation to even come close to taking care of the same amount of people. She brought me my drink and in no time my pizza came out. I was shocked to see the size of these two slices and immediately knew that I would need a box for a slice. The pizza was my go to pepperoni and sausage which had plenty of sauce which I like. The pepperoni was delicious and kind of crispy with I like. The sausage was delicious as well and had a nice Italian spice to it. I was pleased by the taste of the sauce which had a slight zing to it. Not a spicy zing, but a pleasant zing. After I had my slice my server brought me a box to take the second piece home in. I will be delighted to have it again tomorrow. Don't pass this one up because I think most would appreciate the flavor and atmosphere. read more

OMG, if you are in the area you must try Pisanello's. My husband had the pepperoni pizza and I had what is probably the best chef's salad I have ever had. There is enough for 2 people or more. With all the good stuff. Definitely a go back to. read more

In a word, fantastic! My husband and I tried Pisanello's for the first time tonight after repeatedly being let down by other pizza places. The staff are so incredibly on top of everything and the pizza itself is the perfect style of crust with a great toppings to sauce ratio. We are definitely going back! read more

IME Pisanello's are hidden gems located in mostly overlooked Ohio towns, and this was no exception! It was a little hard to get here (for someone not familiar with the area) because the street was closed for construction, but I figured out a nearby side-street to park on. After a brief wait (it was Friday night), we got a booth, and got to chowing down! Pisanello's cheesy bread is the best! Wings were good. And pizza was great! All of this with friendly service and it was also a very good value! This is a humble place with good, affordable food. It is not a fancy spot. Maybe not the best for a date, unless you're dating my wife (she loves this place). My only critique - I wish they had a liquor license for wine and beer. I was introduced to Pisanello's in Bowling Green (OH), and I hadn't realized there was another so close to where I live in suburban Cincinnati. Will definitely return again! read more

Their pepperoni pizza with extra cheese and extra sauce, dipped in garlic butter is absolutely extraterrestrial This has been my favorite pizza since I was a little kid and it honestly just gets better with time. This neighborhood staple is no frills, but serves up the most quality pizzas day in and day out and does it with the kind of wit, ease and familiarity that only comes from family. Why throw your money at those big chains when you could invest in a family run business that loves giving back to the community? Plus If you have a little extra time, there's an amazing little vintage shop and record store (Double Play) just a couple shops down. You won't regret making this your go-to! BIG EVENTS! They have huge banquet rooms that are super affordable to rent out above the shop for family reunions, birthday parties, etc. The ballroom is gorgeous and historic. I threw my dad's 60th bday party upstairs and it was AMAZING! Anita and the catering crew made everything easy for me, and the manager downstairs even threw in majorly discounted and rushed pizzas when we ran out of food halfway through the party (he had a reaper ready in under 15 mins). This pizza place way over priced!! And the staff and are not helpful when I asked why the price was so high! The girl at the front desk just read off the receipt when I asked to explain the charges on the bill! The food is average so not worth the price. Will be finding another place for, pizza. read more

I should have done more homework prior to eating here. We were driving through Dayton from Florida on our way to Michigan and wanted pizza. Checked Yelp and decided on this place. If you like Papa John's pizza you will like this place. It's conveyer belt, mass market crappy pizza. Pizza Hut, Little Ceasars or Dominos now all operate on the same principle- Tasteless toppings Tasteless cheese Mediocre sauce Doughy crust run through a conveyor oven Results- crappy pizza. Salad dressing served in a packet. People were friendly, but preparation and the quality of the ingredients is so poor that I could never recommend this place. read more

I'm here out of town from Chicago for work, and it was the first time coming here. Went there for lunch and came back again the same day for dinner and got a taco pizza. This was recommended by the waitress Maile. She was very respectful and polite, and she did great recommending this pizza! It's so delicious! We were searching for a good pizza place for after Thanksgiving. Found Pisanello's and decided to give it a try based on the great reviews. We ordered a large deluxe and a large garlic chicken pizza. Both were ready in about 20 minutes. Check out was easy. Both pizzas were great. The deluxe was the typical pepperoni, sausage, green peppers, onions and mushrooms. What made it good was the toppings were fresh and crisp. The crust was sturdy yet soft. The garlic chicken pizza said it was new. It has a white sauce. It was perfect for our eater that doesn't like red sauce. We will definitely be back again. read more

This small town pizza joint is a classic when is comes to pizza making. They roll out the dough, and make your pizza fresh right in front of you, as you get to smell the aroma baking. I highly recommend the Breadsticks, ( I like the marinara for dipping) they are the best for towns around. The art work on the side of the building is beautiful. read more

Don't go out of your way to eat here. We drove down from Dayton to eat for dinner. Was told to sit anywhere. Sat un-noticed for 15 minutes with the wait staff hopping from table to table totally clueless like their first day on the job with zero training. A young busboy brought us some drinks but we were never visited again so we walked out after another 30 minutes passed. I did hear a patron at the next table flag down a waiter by yelling out; "We're ready to order now!" That is a sign. read more

Went for an early dinner with my hubby & a group of friends. The restaurant was busy & the phone was ringing off the hook. Our server brought our menus & took our drink order. I ordered the grilled chicken salad with hot bacon dressing while my husband had the pizza special (2 slices 1-topping pizza & drink for $5.95). The food came out in a timely manner. The pizza slices were HUGE & he could only eat one of them. My salad was also humongous with plenty of chicken & I ended up taking half of it home. All my friends were thrilled with their various salads too. Our server did a great job considering how many tables she was working. One of my co-workers had her husband bring in 2 HUMONGOUS pizzas for lunch, one with only cheese, the other with sausage. BOTH are to DIE for. I LOVE my pizza and i can be VERY particular where it comes from. I have had some local chains and been VERY disappointed. I have no CLUE if this is a chain in Franklin, OH, but even if it is............next time i'm in the area, this will be my meal. The sauce is slightly sweet, but not overly so. the sausage has just a slight kick to it. I could probably eat 1/4 of this GARGANTUAN pizza and STILL want to go back for more. read more

Maybe just, "Sorry, it's a bit over cooked." Or "Eat the middle, and we will discount the price." But nothing. So we ate around the charred areas. As we were leaving, I asked the young lady at the counter, if it is normal to have a burnt crust? She smiled and said, "yes, we cook them very well. You can request that we don't cook it fully." I just shook my head. Quite a shame as I was so excited to have a really good pizza location close by.

It wasn't the usual smushed, greasy mess you sometimes get with steak sandwiches. The ingredients tasted fresh, and it was flavorful without being heavy. My only disappointment was that they were out of their fudge. I was really looking forward to trying it! Thankfully, the cashier kindly substituted cookies instead, and they were a tasty consolation prize. With so many neighborhood pizza places to choose from, I'm happy I finally gave Pappa's Pizza Palace a chance. It definitely earned a spot on my list, and I'll be back--with enough courage to click that "burn the pizza" button next time!

I had a calzone. It's about $10 for most calzones. This one had mushrooms and onions. It didn't take too long to make. This came with garlic oil dipping sauce and pizza sauce. It was nice to get that many dipping options. There's places that won't give you anything. Inside the restaurant is neat to walk around. There's firefighter equipment scattered around, and lots of pictures from the little league teams it supports. Best in Germantown. It may also have delivery. Loses a star for having TV on Faux News.
