Very satisfied with the service at Don's RV in Ceres, California. We own a meticulously maintained RV and have had a chronic problem with the hydraulic leveling jacks and a separate electrical problem resulting in failure of the charging system for the house batteries, and costly replacements of the batteries every year for several years in a row. We had taken our RV to a local RV shop for several faulty repairs of these problems. We spent approximately $3000 on these problems. Several RV owners recommended to us, to take our RV to Don's in Ceres. Don's was an hour drive from our home but well worth the effort. Our RV was finally repaired correctly by their team at Don's RV! Jason in service was especially knowledgeable, professional, helpful, and accurate in his estimates and when our RV would be ready. These guys are great !!!! We were traveling thru area on a busy Thursday afternoon when we had a breakdown on our new travel trailer. We are from Michigan and needed immediate service to fix a broken bracket under our trailer. Erick the service manager came out and took a quick look and told us they would get it taken care of. They invited my wife, dog, and I to sit in their AC while the work was done. That had us fixed and on the road within 45 minutes at a very reasonable price. Their attitude was so friendly and helpful I can't say enough good about them. I took my new RV that I bought from Dons less than a year ago. The stove top glass was cut short the service manager said they would not warranty it that I damaged it when I questioned him he got mad started yelling at me and my wife told us never to come back and are warranty is no good. Called forest river they said there was never a claim made for my RV had me take it to a local dealer close to me. They checked it and replaced the stove top free said it was a manufactured defect. STOP! Read this before you call this place. What a joke. There's a fee just to show up which I can understand. BUT what they won't tell you is that your bill starts the moment they leave the yard ( think of a taxi). So what this means is if they stop for lunch, you are paying. If they stop to pee, you are paying, if they stop for fuel, you guessed it.... you are paying. How can I get charged $521 for a visit that is 16 miles away when there are no new parts added? All they did was drive out (16 miles mind you) and clean some connections. Total time on site was 30 minutes then a 16 mile drive back to Ceres at 10 AM so you know there was no traffic. Can you explain this? Well when we tried to get an answer from the service manager Jason, all he said was that he NEVER makes mistakes. What a jerk! Stopped in to give a look, salesman,think it was the owner or manager was fine we came in at first My husband asked if they were about to close,and we were told know that's ok your ok, then in a second we're asked what we were looking for, and my husband told him we'll know when we see it and told him we have grandkids that do alot off travel & before he finished he told him that there wasn't time for browsing!!! Buyer beware- Don's RV Center posts on RVTrader.com with no price listed, but "request price." When you call they give you a lowball price, only to raise the price once you arrive due to a "misunderstanding". My advice, don't drive all the way out there without a price in writing, better yet avoid the company all together. Dishonorable sales tactics. read more

We scheduled an appointment weeks in advance to evaluate the damage to our RV for repair. We took pictures as requested and emailed them. We arrived at the appointed time only to be given an attitude and be told that we needed to leave the RV so they could take pictures. They never told us they would need it overnight, so we didn't make arrangements to do so. Any decent RV shop would not expect an RV to be left at the shop over a holiday weekend, and certainly wouldn't need a rig overnight for photos and a basic assessment for an awning! I don't understand what the purpose of a scheduled appointment is if they expected to keep it overnight. We drove more than 30 minutes to reach them only to be so disappointed that we turned around minutes after arriving. Their customer service leaves much to be desired. This wasn't our first time using Don's RV so we had higher expectations than what we experienced this time. We won't be using them again. And due to the attitude we received we can't recommend them to anyone either. No one deserves to be treated that way from a service shop. We are so disappointed. read more

I would like to give a big shout out and a 5 star rating to Don's RV in Ceres. We purchased a new Montana and promptly put 4000 miles on it. Naturally some issues arose which Eric the service manager promptly addressed and fixed one major issue to me as a courtesy to me. When I went to pickup my trailer for a trip my hitch broke as I was hooking up. Again Eric stepped in and came to the rescue. We purchased our dream trailer from Don's RV and could not be happier! It was well worth the trip we made from the South Bay to pick it up. Everyone from Gerry in sales and Mike in finance really helped us make the process easy. Jessie gave us a thorough walk thru and helped us get familiar with our trailer. we scheduled an appointment waited over 30 days, took trailer in waited another 30 days for estimate for: window covid right? 1. replacement for emergency exit window. est. there cost $1,200.00 not incl. labor.special order because alpenlite no longer exists. i found online for less than $400.00 2. black water drain wasn't draining. charged $430.00 labor to test! charged $30.00 for dump fee... drove away paying a bill of $675.00 telling us our drain was fine, no issues.. and no window replacement! at our discretion. they took our window frame off to find a number for window,.. that they had to special order? oh and they sealed the frame back that they took off...charged fee $215.00. why couldnt they just measure opening? got home walked in trailer to find all the screws for window frame in my sink..window covering on bed. so much for sealing frame? i called to tell them my findings ...maybe they might have offered a price reduction..no.no way! will not go back. do not recommend. read more

I wrote a review of this business just 6 days ago but felt I needed to leave another review. We needed to take our rig back, for a completely different reason than our first appointment there. I called Erik and explained that we had a new issue and he got us in that very day and within two days we picked up our motorhome with all repairs complete. We are new to the entire world of RVing. We purchased a 1999, 37 foot National Trade Winds. Needless to say, as newbies, we have had a few misadventures along the way. I have become best friends with the service department at Don's Rv. This last go around required a new roof and a new awning. And since we were putting a new roof on, we replaced all of the vent covers. Eric and crew were fantastic. I was extremely pleased with the way Eric was able to work with our insurance company to accomplish all the repairs. It was frustrating for both of us in that many of the parts were delayed due to coronavirus, but today we brought her home. Eric and crew are always very responsive to me, and take the time to explain all the work that has been done, as well as taking the time to explain how everything works. Our family are outdoor camping RV folks. We have owned several units in the past 25 years. We've had 2 pull-behind units, 2 5th wheels, a motorhome we have used friends toy haulers, most important to us is maintaining our equipment so it is in tip top shape. Our family decided its time for our own toy hauler. We gave our 2003 Forest River Sierra (w/3 slides and looks almost brand new) a good disinfection wipe down and took it to Don's RV in Ceres, CA. We thought we might make a deal for a 2007 Eclipse Attitude toy hauler they had advertised for $14,000. OMGOODNESS all the work our Governor and others are doing to keep us informed and safe through this pandemic falls on dead ears in Ceres and the other Central Valley towns. No one...I MEAN NO ONE was practicing social distancing. There were 3 and 4 people sitting in a tiny sales office talking to a salesperson NO mask!! NO personal protection at all...the vehicles in the parking lot seemed to be from different parts of the state and we had come from Hayward, CA. I never thought we would see such a blatant disregard for others safety and well being. Then to add insult to this already pathetic arena of people that did not seen to care about public safety...the toy hauler they advertised was the worst piece of garbage I think I have ever seen on a lot for sale. I mean used hard, nothing ever fixed and no one was just plain careful when they used it. It was delaminating, there was a hole in the lift gate, rivets were popped out of the fenders all the cabinetry looked really worn and upholstery was torn. We laughed at the fact they would even shown it in such terrible shape. BUT when we asked them to look at our beautiful, clean, like new cabinetry, upholstery and our unit has 3 slides...they would NOT EVEN STEP OUTSIDE AND LOOK AT IT. The whole experience was a joke! Their adolescent behavior of not understanding or caring about other people's or their own safety. Their attitude toward us...a family wearing masks and gloves to protect ourselves. I felt like I was in a poorer midwest town where the country folks are a little slow understanding just the basics!! Sorry I do not believe that you'll get a deal on an RV, they definitely don't care if you get anything else. read more

I happened into Don's RV Center recently and was helped by a wonderful salesman Ozzie. Even though I didn't know I was there to purchase, Ozzie convinced me to purchase a Class C Jayco Greyhawk. He was knowledgeable and informative. As a 60+ year old single woman I was treated as though I was the most important person. Thank you Ozzie for showing me this was exactly what I needed. When I went to pick up my purchase, Joe from the shop did a 60 minute walkthrough that was excellent. Again I was treated with utmost respect. Thank you Don's RV Center. However, Mike T., the finance manager, was a typical salesman. He was condescending when I asked about a spare tire being added for free. He told me I did not need a spare tire because I would have road service. It was too bad he treated me that way because for the cost of a tire and wheel ($300-$400) he could have made me exceptionally happy. Shame on you Mike! read more

I would be very careful about doing business with Don's. I was told one price for a repair on the phone and it doubled when I received my invoice. And, they recommend work that my Tire shop deemed Unnecessary, and cost hundreds of dollars more for another job. Do yourself a favor, if your repairs are below the frame do not go to Don's! Take it to your local tire shop (City tire) where you'll get a fair price for repairs, and an honest opinion about what repairs really need to be made. I will say they honored a prior repair they made inside our trailer that needed to be fixed again; probably why the number of hours doubled...I will not be going back to Don's again. read more

I remember doing business when Don's was located off Kansas area years ago when he was starting out. I'm thinking it must have been sold to someone else. This is not how one should be treated when attempting to spend money. We never got to step foot onto the lot to inspect potential purchase. The elderly salesman stopped us from entering the lot and not once Invited or afforded us the opportunity to view merchandise. Really??? He did hard selling questions about price range - finance- etc. for ten minutes. We are cash customers that just wanted to find something to pull behind our Tesla not the freshly restored truck we drove in to the parking lot. Frustrated and annoyed hearing the words price...price...price come out of his mouth repeatedly, we decided to just leave since we were not allowed to shop. Just want to say, integrity and good customer service is truly measured, not when things are going well, but when things are challenging. My husband had a miscommunication with the amount of a repair of our awning, so he decided not to get the repair done. He was then told there would be a diagnosis fee if $154.00. He was kind of irritated because he told the technician what was the issue was. But decided I'd there was additional work that he didn't advise them, then ok fine, he would suck it up. When he got there and looked at the awning his zip ties were still on the awning. They didn't even open it. He paid expressed his frustration and left. Then noticed he forgot a part that he provided to the tech. Next day I went to get the part and asked for the general manager. We spoke I showed him my pictures of the zip ties and the awning not being open. He agreed with me and refunded the fee. Things happen in our busy lives, but right is right. And Don's RV has a lot of integrity to make it right, instead of just blowing us off. Thank you Don's Rv we will definitely be back!! read more

So very disappointed with the service we received at Don's Rv. Just picked our toy hauler up after the third time we've had it there for service. After the first appointment, we took the trailer out and the cables on the slide-which were frayed and the reason it was in for service-snapped! The fresh water tank was still leaking, the LED lights in the awning had not been fixed. All of these issues we had been charged for and assured they had been fixed. We were then REPEATEDLY pressured by Eric to give him a good Yelp review. After the second time in for repairs, we were reassured that everything was fixed. The trailer was barely home before we realized they had not been, but yet, we were again charged. We took it back for a third time, and despite the lack of repair being their fault we were charged AGAIN! Now we have had to pay 3 times and we still have a trailer with repairs that need to be done. I do not recommend using Don's Rv for your service needs!! read more

We had service done at Don's RV in the past and were very pleased. We took our 2015 Keystone trailer to be sold and planned to purchase another RV in the future. They put it on their website and did a beautiful job. However, we did not sign the contract because we had questions about it and called several times to talk to JJ. Long story short, they had it for 40 days and did not sell it. We had never signed the contract. However, we had to pay $1500 to get our trailer back to sell elsewhere. We were unable to find the RV we wanted that was listed on their website. When we showed up "had just sold ". We found one at another dealer and wanted to take our trailer there as a trade-in. Just be aware if you sign a contract or not you will not get your RV back without paying. We know it cost to advertise our trailer on their website but I doubt that it was $1500. When we picked our trailer up it was sitting in a dirt lot and was filthy. read more

Almost bought a new Class C from Don's, they were easy to deal with and quickly came in line with a price I had gotten from a large dealer in Idaho, however I found a private party selling a used one and saved an additional 20k. I do get parts and service here, George in parts has been very helpful, I needed a replacement cargo door that Forest River didn't stock anymore, he contacted the manufacturer which made another one for me, I just installed it, it's perfect, it was the only problem with an otherwise great 32 foot Class C, great dealership! Best RV wouldn't give me the time of day, don't bother with that place, like a bunch of Sharks! read more

I would like to take the time to say how wonderful, patient and kind these people are. JJ, was very professional and took his time to make sure I was comfortable even having me come into his office to relax before heading out to find what eventually was a Wildcat Maxx light, t255rlx. We did the usual inspection and they fixed everything. They even took the time to explain everything about the RV appliances and other related items. They are not out to cheat anyone, they want you to be satisfied. My advice to anyone buying an RV, take your time, do your research, understand how much your vehicle can tow, make sure to check everything and ask them to make sure no leaks, seals, lug nuts tight and that is about all you can do. The road will jostle some things, but this is to be expected. Please also note, they want your repeat business and those of people you know, so understand they do care. We are new to RVing. We just purchased a gently used travel trailer. We took it to Don's and asked them to go through the trailer and make sure everything works properly. They said it would be $1000. Remember, we are new at this... We had to take our trailer back 3 times and it's still not done right. They cleaned the heater, said the frig and AC work great. I asked them to replace the fan in the bathroom which they did but it hits on something. Replace the gasket in the air vent and they did NOT. We went on our 1st trip and even before we left discovered the frig did NOT work. Well, the batteries were old and needed replacing. We paid them to go through to make sure everything worked?!? We purchased 2 new batteries. Then while camping, the heater wouldn't work. Jeremy said "well, there's probably air in the lines". We have yet to try the AC. On our way back home we stopped at Camping World and discovered they charge $350 to check everything out on an RV. WE WERE SO RIPPED OFF AT DON'S RV. We would NEVER recommend them!!! We ordered 2019 montana to be delivered to our rv site. Went to see it and have pre delivery inspection. It was not hooked up to water or 50 amp. Our agreement was we would pay in full on delivery. We showed our salesman , JJ, the cashiers check, but he refused to deliver it until he had the check. When it was delivered, the same day, it was delivered by a man who delivers livestock and , although I'm sure he was a good driver, he said all he was paid for was to deliver it to the site so it did not get leveled or setup in any way. They knew we had no way to tow/park it. Long story/short, do not deal with JJ. He is dishonest and immature. Locked himself in his office when he was through yelling at us. Said he did us a favor because they dont carry the residential Montanas. Sad state of affairs. read more

I had a tire blow out on my travel trailer that caused damage to the electrical and propane gas lines. I took it to Don's and was told that it would be $318 for the repair estimate and it would be refunded if I had the work done there. The service manager told me it'd be at least 4-5 days to complete the estimate. I paid the $318 but less than 12 hours later I called and told him that called another dealer and the estimate would $90 and wanted to pick up the trailer. Miraculously, the estimate had been completed and I was to be billed the $318. I know that they didn't even open the trailer and the estimate was only given for the list of damages that I had told them about and nothing new. I had to pay the $318 even though I knew that they were being dishonest but assumed I'd get the money back when I had the repairs done. My insurance came up with a lower estimate do to less hours required to do the repairs and using the going shop rate in the area. Hours and shop rates that are paid and documented for this area. Don's refused to do the work at that rate and hours and refused to refund my deposit saying that they would do the work only if I paid the difference in shop rates. I feel that Don's is not only a dishonest company, but illegally bills for work hours above those established by the insurance industry and should've refunded my deposit. I contacted Don's and requested a refund but was told no so I am forced to file to recover my damages in small claims court. read more

I bought a used 5th Wheel and had problems immediately...I.e: the refrigerator was cold when we picked up the unit but the temperature never got down to the range of being useful $2000.00 repair. Example #2 the plumbing was all jacked up and wouldn't drain and would fill and leak after 2 days of light duty use. Example #3 they promised a detail before delivery...never done...Many misrepresentations both deliberate and by just stupidity. I would NOT buy here. read more

I bought a brand new Vintage Cruiser from them. The water heater control board failed the first month, July 2018, the panel board on line was $65.00 dollars, I thought no this part is under warranty so they will replace it. They charged me $187.50 for the part and told me I had to wait for the manufacture to reimburse them before they could credit my card. Remember they already charged my card they are not out of pocket any money!! I finally got reimbursed my money, took to long but they got it done!! read more

I would not give them any stars!!!! Horrible service. Dropped it off on the 22nd and told them I needed it back by the 28th. They didn't start the work until the 28th. Went to pick it up and the coach smelled as thou something died in it. Sure enough under the couch was a dead rat. They tried to say it was there already but little did they know that I put the trap in there the day we took it to them. They wrote the work order and didn't follow it, they changed out the wrong side of our springs to our leveling jack. They worked on our refrigerator from the outside and left the door open as well as electrical cord compartment and drove it up to us and said here ya go stink and all. Never a word to us about the smell until we went in it. How can you drive something that has such horrible odor and not tell someone. They said they would walk us through what they did to our coach when we got there to pick it up, but we had to back inside after paying over $700. Our refrigerator is still not working and he said well you can bring it back and I will give you a break on labor. Oh by the way the labor rate is 159.00 per hour. Now why would I bring it back when you did not fix it the first time. I must look like a F***king special kind of idiot LOL I will not be going back. read more

Previously, I would have given Don's RV a 5 star rating. I bought a new travel trailer from them in Feb, 2011. The purchase was routine and comfortable. Had a couple minor warranty issues which were promptly addressed and fixed. Jeff, the service manager at the time, was a great guy and easy to work with. Fast forward 6 years. The trailer developed a leak around the skylight over the tub. I called Don's RV and asked for Jeff but was transferred to Glen. I explained the situation and he said to bring it in so they could assess the repairs. They are a little over a hour from my home and I pass by several RV dealers to get there. I opted to take it there because my confidence in them from past experiences. I dropped the trailer off and returned home. Later that day, Glen called me and said their was a cracked plumbing vent and the skylight leaked a "little". Called me back with the estimate and I was floored. $765 to replace a plumbing vent cap and reseal the skylight. He said their labor rate was $149/hr and that it would take about 5 hours. I seriously doubted the amount of time but I authorized the repairs as I wasn't going to drive down there and pick it up and stop at the other RV shops for estimates on the way home. After I got the rig home, I entered the trailer only to discover they hadn't even bothered to replace the skylight trim on the inside. Come on, 6 screws???? To add insult to injury, that day I received a mailer from a local RV repair shop that would have resealed EVERYTHING on the entire roof for $750,.all vents, AC, antennas, EVERYTHING. I feel they overcharged me, expensive lesson learned. Not only is Don's RV off of my repair list they are now no longer a considered dealer for a new RV I had planned to purchase this spring. Not sure why the drastic change, but their problem, not mine anymore. read more

If there was a zero, that is what I would give them! We needed new brakes and asked if they could do them before the 1st of the year. They said have it here Wed the 27th by 9am will take 1or 2 days. We told them up front we had after market 8,000 lb axels they said no problem! On Wed. The 3rd of Jan they did not yet know what parts were needed and tried to tell us the brakes were over $400 each. They charge $150 an hour for labor. You would think they would be able to afford a Mechanic who knew how to do the job. After a week we picked up our fifth wheel and left Without any of the work done they said could be done in 2 days! They lied over and over and tried their best to rip us off. read more

Excellent customer service! Jeremy and Mike were easy to work with by phone and made for a very smooth transaction. Frank gave us the run down on the ins and outs of our trailer and was very knowledgeable during our walk thru. Jose helped us with our paperwork when we picked our beautiful new travel trailer up and he was very friendly and extremely helpful. We stopped by my mother in law's house just 15 minutes from the dealership to show her our new purchase when we noticed our slide out failed to open. It was 5:57 pm, (three minutes to closing time) and we called Don's RV to ask what could be wrong. They walked us through any possible causes, and we determined a fuse blew. We didn't have the fuse it needed, so Jose offered to bring us a new one. He was there within a few hours and happliy replaced it for us infront of my mother in law's house! My fiancé and I came into the parts and service dept looking for a power cord for our travel trailer. All of the employees were extremely helpful and friendly. They took their time helping us to the best of their ability and we're very knowledgeable. I'd highly recommend Don's RV to anyone solely based on their amazing customer service. We paid around $75 for a full power cord at Don's when the lowest price cord we found elsewhere was online for $160, so their pricing is amazing as well. read more

Hi everyone, I want to tell you 2 years ago I was new for having the travel trailer, so I go to several dealers but information and help to give me was ZERO, because I didn't know enough about what I need and where I must start, do I need break controller, what is my towing capacity for my truck? And .....then I went to DON'S RV in keys then I meet the owner DON, owner and Jeff service manager they help me a lot and explain everything for me , now if I have question I call or my travel trailer needs service I make appointment and go and always finish on time and they are really fair about price and very honest people and do perfect and clean job they don't leave anything behind, I hope my real story help to people looking for the RV dealer and services go and try you will be happy camper like me .
