The customer service at this place is straight trash. Whoever answered the phone was rude, disrespectful, and had a nasty attitude from the start. I called to have something taken off my order, and instead of handling it professionally, they acted like they could tell me what I could and couldn't do with my own order. Then they wanted to be a smart mouth on the phone for no reason. If you don't like dealing with customers, then customer service isn't the job for you. Nobody should have to be talked to with that kind of attitude just for asking a simple question. Hit Don't Look Back for some late night tacos and margs, and the tacos didn't disappoint! I ordered the Tofu Taco and Shrimp Taco with no dairy. Unfortunately, they still put sour cream on the taco so had to flag someone down to help get the tacos remade. Once fixed, the tacos were fantastic and way bigger than expected! Really fun Mexican joint with dive bar vibes. The service is phenomenal. Every staff member greeted up with kindness and promptness. Also noticed that they make an effort to be a more sustainable / environmentally friendly business. Most restaurants will tear thru single use plastic containers without batting an eye, but DLB is different. Now about the food. Amazing traditional Mexican style tacos is their specialty. I've never tried a taco of theirs that I didn't like. But my favorites are the carnitas and the shrimp tacos, highly recommend trying those ones. You do have to pay for chips and salsa, but they give you a lot of bang for your buck. We went here for an event so we had huge servings of everything, for about 15 people. They had a nice big section of the restaurant prepared for us. We reserved a pool table as well. And for anyone who doesn't know, this building used to be an old pool spot called Triple, they've kept the Triple sign as an homage to them. And continued to have pool tables. We were staying down the street, so we HAD to stop in here and grab a drink and some tacos. Loved the vibe. It was busy, fairly loud with fast, friendly service. Their jalapeno infused margarita was a thing of beauty and only $9. So refreshing and had some kick! Loved every sip. Had the potato tacos (shredded style), plus chips and guacamole and everything was super fresh and reasonably priced. Went here tonight with some friends and loved it. Great tacos and fun chill vibes. I don't drink, but my friends loved the margs they got. We were served very quickly and didn't have much of a wait at all. I had some of the shredded beef tacos on corn tortillas. The beef was very flavorful, tender, and had a nice lil kick to it. The staff are awful. Travis is an offensive bartender. They actually treat you as if you're a burden when they should be doing their job. THE best taco spot in Richmond, no questions asked. The food options are all phenomenal - my favorites are the carnitas tacos and chicken quesadilla. The drinks are very reasonably priced and always yummy. Of course, the added entertainment through pool tables are a plus as well. The service isn't the always the friendliest, but I think that's because this is a cool guy bar and the employees try to keep that cool guy persona. I am shocked at the rating and recent reviews! My husband and I were in town and saw DLB pop up on Google Maps so we decided to give it a try. Are the tacos authentic? Not quite, but they are still YUMMY. We tried the carnitas, shrimp, fish, the verde special, and beef tacos. Heads up that the carnitas are VERY CHARRED, but it says so on the menu. They key lime pie is DELICIOUS. We went back a second time to get it, lol. During our second visit we also got the frito pie. It was a fun and tasty dish. I would 100% get it again. I need to know what's in the sauce! The service was good. The staff was kind and mostly prompt. They have happy hour specials so I got their house margarita with their home made infused tequila. It was great! The ambiance gives off dive bar and I'm here for it! They have pool tables and other activities in the back. The place is spacious. Hope we get to visit them again one day! read more

Overall atmosphere was fine for a Tuesday evening. It is spacious indoors with a lot of seating options for dining and a fair amount of spots at the bar. I didn't get a chance to try their tacos, though they did have a 3 for $10 option on Tuesdays (must be the same meat and 'style' for all three tacos). We started with chips and a side of guacamole, queso, and salsa. I ordered a chicken quesadilla with beans. Food was subpar but the quesadillas were huge. Long-time lover of DLB here. I'm noticing that they have developed a quality control issue. I went in person about a month ago and things were absolutely fantastic. However, I ordered delivery today and I was not impressed. I order the same thing each time. Today, all three of my tacos (three different meats) were absolutely saturated in garlic powder. I've known about this place for a while but hadn't gotten around to trying it until tonight, and I'm SO BUMMED it took me so long!!! These tacos are LEGIT. First and foremost, this place doesn't skimp. Normally when I order tacos, I can count on it being half full. Not this place! I ordered a shrimp and carnitas taco, and both were excellent. The shrimp were fresh, not fried, and had a surprising (but awesome) kick to them. The carnitas were super tender, flavorful, and the taco was filled to the brim!!! COVID Review- Coming to DLB during pandemic is a much different experience than before! When you walk in your immediately greeted by plexiglass, hand sanitizer, and social distancing signage. The smell of tacos is overpowered by bleach! This place is clean and doing everything they can to keep the staff and customers safe. I was really excited to try this place out last night with a friend. I have always walked passed this restaunt and thought it was a bowling alley.. probably because of the sign. My friend and I arrived at 7ish on Thursday night and there were not many people in the restraunt. The place was set up with scanable menus and plexiglass dividing the bar where you order from. We were disapointed that the bar did not offer frozen margs so we both had a canned beer. The food menu had a nice variety of options. My friend ordered 2 of the chorizo-tofu tacos on flour tortilla gringo style. I ordered fish, carnitas, and pulled beef on corn tortilla traditional style. The wait for the food wasn't too long, maybe 10 minutes? When we got out tacos we were a little thrown off because all my friends tacos were traditional style on corn tortilla while mine was all flour, gringo style. Also I think half of mine were chorizo-tofu and my friends were all pulled beef. Im not exactly sure what we were even eating.. but it was very good. Just kind of hoped the tacos would of come atleast close to what we ordered rather than mystery tacos.. Also the salsa that comes with the chips and salsa is very bland!!! This is the place to go if you want a social distanced dinner! There wasn't much "service" per say. You scan the QR code at the table and then you go up to the bar (there is a plastic screen all around the bar) and then you place your order with the bartender. Once your food is ready, they call out your table number and you go pick it up. My boyfriend and I felt really safe eating there even though we're vaccinated. We got the beef nachos, carnitas, shrimp and fish tacos. My bf said the carnitas were good. I loved the fish and shrimp tacos, they were really well seasoned. The nachos were on point too, absolutely delicious! My only complaint is the margarita, it was terrible. It tasted like the sour mix went bad or something? I was really disappointed bc the margs I had prior to Covid were pretty good, but I couldn't even force myself to drink it because it was that bad! Waste of a $7. That being said, the food here at the Triple is fair. The quesadillas are probably your best bet. The tacos are ok, the carnitas were too well done, and a bit bland. Same with the guacamole. Y'all can go ahead and kick it up a notch! I ordered a side of white rice and black beans. No spice on the beans... and small portions. But, the prices are decent and I'm guessing that's the draw. There's lots of seating and a nice bar, so bring the whole gang! The service was Speedy Gonzalez and the waitress was accommodating and sweet. One thing I loved about this place was the location. I am so glad they kept the iconic neon Triple sign. I used to work across the street from this place many moons ago when it was the Triple Triangle. It's nice to see they remained true to the original roots and kept the pool table theme in this restaurant. I am grateful for the reinvention of Don't Look Back! I was so disappointed when it caught on fire, and now it is reinvented and back in The Triple space! The food is the same! But the hand infused strawberry margaritas are to die for! The salsa and guacamole are perfection! Order them You can rent a table for big parties by paying in one check. It has two couches and two chairs. You can rent shuffleboard or a pool table for $10 per hour. You can order in the back if you just want to eat along the back bars and play pool.
