I am sure that my fellow reviewers are speaking truth when they are talking about the wonderful experiences they have had at the Cedar St location. However, I would argue that some serious quality control must be done at the satellite location, especially if they are to carry the name and image of an established business. To have a location ruin the reputation of your business by serving stale donuts and poorly made coffee is incredibly disappointing, especially when the reviews of the main location are so promising. The idea that the quality and experience found at the main location should extend to the satellite by the same name should be a standard belief. Most of the donuts at this store were stale before the morning rush was over, and I was served an iced vanilla latte that tasted as though rotten coffee beans had been ground into an espresso concentrate so foul it carried its own aura of bitterness. While I am sure the main location provides a quality experience worth paying for, something must be done to ensure that the satellite location has the same quality control and is able to provide the same experience.

After several minutes in there and we ate the only one of three tables where people are so, figuratively, there wasn't anyone inside but three tables so, service should've been done in a normal or faster time but, sitting in there while waiting for our drinks, we heard the manager and two of the waitresses and the new waitresses in training so four in total talking and blasting and talking shit about other coworkers and people they know and stuff. Well, I heard enough of their gossip shit. Got up and went to them and told the manager '"I'd like to have my coffee and water we order several minutes ago". The Manager and new server apologized and said we'll be right there. Piss me the hell off for sure but, it gets better. The waitress in training came over. Took or order the best she could. It seemed as if it was her first day. That was okay because I know with proper training, she will be much better soon, assuming her training is how to give proper service and not who has the most and best gossip. Our order came about 10 minutes later. Guess they had to go out and get an egg from the chickens. Anyways, my bacon was burnt. My sausage link was undercooked. My ham? No problem. They slice a piece off warmed it up and tossed it on my plate. The hash browns??? Totally shit! Hard. Tough. Should use a serrated knife to cut my hash browns. My egg? Cooked with other eggs the cut off and placed one egg on my plate. Must have been ready for us for a while because when I got my order, the pancake was barely warm enough to melt a small amount of butter in the middle. You can see that there's still butter on my pancake that wouldn't melt. My wife had had eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast. Her was the same! Our hash browns and meats tasted and felt like they were cooked yesterday and not this morning. We gave our plates back with most of the food still on it. Not able to eat. I told the waitress in training that next time she sees food like this, especially burnt bacon, you should question the cook about this bacon and if it's really ready to send out. The manager came over and said that 'I'll just take one meal off your ticket and I'm sorry about that'. I told her, the manager whose name I forgot to ask but, I told her I've been in customer service for many years and telling you that you should fire your cook. You should be reprimanded for letting home cook like that and the waitress needs to have to knowledge and guts to ask the cook about the food that's going to be served to our customers. The smile and cocky ass attitude that manger had when she first came to talk to us quickly went away after I told her she should be reprimanded. Bottom line is this. If corporate doesn't step in and make some serious customer service changes, that ihop location will be going outta business due to no patronage. No one's fault but management and corporate. Let's see what happens. This is what I sent back from my order that I couldn't eat. Horrible. I feel sorry for anyone else that experiences this same as we did, I'm sorry for that.
