Popped in with my brother to satisfy a donut craving and ordered a variety to get a feel for this spot as it was our first time: original glazed, bear claw, glazed old fashion, apple fritter, cinnamon bun, glazed cronut, blueberry cruller. This is a very small donut spot with a small display of donuts, coffee bar on the side with no seating available but found the place very clean. We really loved the nice thin glaze on each donut - they were not too sweet and we were very much impressed by the original glaze and this was my brother's favorite. The apple fritter was my favorite - nice crispy crunchy edges and soft on the inside - although I wish more apple flavor came through this is still a very solid apple fritter. My husband enjoyed the old fashion the best. Our least favorite was the blueberry cake donut as the blueberry cruller tasted way too artificial which is not to my personal taste. If you love classic donuts with no frills, this is a very solid spot located in a small plaza with decent amount of parking. read more

I was picking up dim sum from D&D and noticed Donut Corner next door. I haven't had a donut in ages so I dropped in. I immediately saw the donut holes and knew I had to pick up some for my son. For me, I like a good old classic French cruller. I like the airy fluffy inside. The donut holes are 12 for $3.75. I asked for 6 and the lady gave me extras. I appreciate the nice gesture. I think she knew it was my first visit. The selection is smaller than your typical donut shop. I have decision paralysis (lol), so that's fine with me as long as they have the classics. After i watched a tiktok of someone raving about the "french kisses" donut i had to check it out. Ive drove past this place lots of times i remember it being another donut place i think with a different name. Anyway this donut was a delicious treat creamy whip like custard in fluffy pastry aside from the messy powdered sugar it was great! I had to wait for my car to get oil change across the street so I figured why not go to the Donut corner store to grab some donuts. My go to donut is the maple bar. That did not disappoint here. It was like flakes and very good. They had a blue berry Danish type pie filling donut. Do know quite what to call it. We asked to try it. The service lady was nice and microwaved it fo us for a couple seconds. She said there was extra cream cheese. It was so delsious. My bf got a Vietnamese cold coffee. I never had one so I tried sip. It was very good! The shop was small, but you can see service was very quick as people came and go as they ordered. Recommend coming here as they have variety of dounuts; including some with bacon, some vegetarian, as well as breakfast sandwich or breakfast bagels. This a small, no frills doughnut shop. It smells amazing when you walk in & you better get there early because their display cases empty fast. I've been here more than once. The staff is always nice & helpful. The French Kisses were super popular with my entire office staff. I really enjoyed the cream/custard filled maple doughnut, too. So incredibly tasty and so much filling. I love their variety boxes ~ got a couple dozen so there was plenty of variety for all. I came here for the French kisses I saw on tiktok they were ok but not what I expected. im not sure if it was the batch I got or not but the dough was flat, there wasn't any shape to it, it was soggy. we also got 1 regular glazed donut & 2 "mochi donut" which weren't it. they were under cooked. mochi donuts are supposed to be chewy & bouncy in a ball like form thats attached to each other to form a ring. but what we had was just undercooked donuts. no fluff, no crunch, no bounce just soggy overly sweet dough even my 3 yr said I'm done lol read more

A good donut shop that offers your basic favorites but also cool special donuts. They even have coffee and teas on the menu. Donuts were great, fresh, but maybe not as good as other donut shops. I went here for National Donut day and got five dozen donuts. All the donuts were fresh, service was friendly, and price was on point. I then went back to back weekends for my family and friends and this place hit again! Super yummy donuts, outstanding service, and hours of operation are great. I recommend this place over and above all the other donut shops as I've tried other shops throughout Elk Grove and staff are rude, donuts are tasteless, overpriced, or taste like day old. They have mochi donuts that are tiny and almost four bucks. Not sure what goes in them but four dollars does not go far enough to pay for just one small trendy donut. Cinnamon crumb is classic. Still almost two bucks. I'm sure I'll look back at this review in five years and it'll be almost five bucks. Maybe Jesus will have come back to rescue us from these CA overlords by then. Ok i found my new donut spot when in the area! Thanks to all you fellow yelpers! It's near the freeway exit and in a parking lot easy to access with Burger King in the same ( only mention for others to easily find) Once we came in we were welcomed but 2 great people! Who allowed us to look at their selection case. I'm assuming they deal with a lot of parents and kids since they were patient and kind. The bonus was even tho the kids were yelling what they wanted they waited till i confirmed with the kids chaos before grabbing and throwing in bags. Plus of course kids chose just off sight and the lady helping made sure to let us know exactly what kind of donut was being chosen. Glad she did cause my son doesn't like mochi and he chose a mochi at first. They also have coffees and teas with a set up of cream and sugar to add for your personal liking. I didn't get many pictures of all they amazing options they had and i forgot to grab those yummy looking "French kisses" ILL BE BACK FOR YOU! Kids ordered their sprinkle donuts, doz donut holes and i ordered a Thai tea. Coming to $13. Double check your reciept. I got two regular donuts. Their menu says $2 each. At any other donut place I've ever been in I would have paid with a $5 and got change. Here it was mysteriously $6.98, and they want a tip on top of that. The price didn't register in my brain til after I left; so I wasn't able to have them fix the issue, but I was the only person in their so there was no rush, and I can only assume the overcharge was on purpose. This review is for Donut Corner. We used to love coming here when it was the Donut Shop. But as other reviewers have mentioned, the shop changed a lot once new owners took over, and not in a good way. The interior is really sparse and unwelcoming. The prices have gone way up, donut quality and selection way down, and the customer service was cold like these people did not want to be there. I can only comment on online/delivery side of the business. Food is generally good. The croissant sandwiches are very greasy, wouldn't recommend. Doughnuts are very good. Avoid the speciality blueberry and strawberry croissant items, they say fresh berries but seem more like compotes. Getting accurate order and getting refunds for errors is HORRIBLE when ordering online. After three strikes, won't order from this business online again. However, I did come around 1 PM and they mentioned how they sell out quickly, so it wasn't much of a surprise. We did end up ordering donuts, which tasted a bit stale but probably taste fantastic when they were fresh. The second time around, I called in before arriving around 9 AM. Thankfully, they had a full batch of french kisses so I ordered a dozen for home. They're extremely delicious and the powdered sugar is what pulls it all together. Ordered two custard filled maple frosting donuts & one glazed twist. Total came to $9.67 for three donuts! When I tried to tear the twist in half, it only stretched. It also felt wet inside the twist when I consumed it. I can only conclude that the glazed twist was undercooked and not fried to completion. The custard filled donuts were good but unfortunately the attendant had placed them upside down in the white paper bag with no wax paper and the frosting completely stuck to the bag. I usually like this shop but have been disappointed with the increasing cost for their donuts & a decline in quality of standard traditional donuts. Another problem that I have is that the prices of the various types of donuts are not clearly posted anywhere. Instead the menu billboard focuses on the price of drink specials, breakfast sandwiches, donuts specialties, and the cost for a box of a dozen. For what I paid for three donuts:$9.67, I walked out thinking that I should have just bought a dozen for about $20. I'm probably going to forgo this shop for awhile. If you want donuts between 4:30am and 1:30 pm, this is the place to go. They are open 4am to 3 on weekends. The donuts are good and I'm addicted to their glazed chocolate twists. My husband and I walked in because we saw mochi donuts and boba drawings on the window. Only to be told that they no longer serve those.
