A hole in the wall donut shop in the heart of Elk Grove. They have a wide variety of donuts from your classic glazed to specialty donuts. There's plenty of seating and the staff were very efficient. Unfortunately when we got there, most of their donuts were sold out, but we were lucky enough to try what was remaining, which were some of their glazed donuts, and it was very good! I loved the chewy texture and the glaze was not too sweet. My experience was very positive and will be back to try their other donuts! read more

It looks like Kacie's Donuts is under new ownership. One obvious change is that their donuts have significantly shrunk yet the price is the same. I know since Covid and the so called "supply chain crisis" all donut stores drastically increased their prices, but this is ridiculous. I really want to support local businesses, but they are making it very difficult. Hopefully Kacie's Donuts will realize they need to bake their donuts back to regular size. read more

My cousin-in-law picked up these donuts after taking his boys to their baseball game. The doughnuts were really good and very fresh. The boys could not get enough of those little Mini donut balls. Sunday mornings have become a tradition of coffee and donut runs. We have passed by Kacie's a few times and finally decided to try them. We got our standard order: glazed (baseline to compare to others), maple (my fav), blueberry cake (husbands fav), and an apple fritter (family go-to and one of the only donuts my mom will eat). Donuts: 5- stars, everyone agreed-- best (so far) in Elk Grove. Reminded me of my childhood. All were very tasty, slightly crisp on the outside with a chewy inside. Didn't coat the mouth in a weird way (super oily donuts are the worst). The maple actually tasted like maple and not just sugar. The apple fritter was perfect. Still good the next morning even. First time here and was disappointing. Stopped by 8 am on a Friday morning. Hoped to get some donuts before getting on the 5 Freeway for a trip. Not many donuts out on the shelves. They were actually rather bare with a slim selection. Surprising because it was 8 am in the morning. I received my first box of cream puffs as a gift and I was instantly hooked. They're so addictive that I had to buy some for myself. The shop is located next to the freeway and it's also next to a McDonald's in a small plaza with plenty of parking. It's a small, local shop; so support your small businesses! I can tell they're hard working people because of the quality of their pastries (haven't had their drinks yet) and the fact they're open every day. If you're looking for trendy, Instagram places, this isn't it; but it's certainly a place to satisfy your sweet tooth. The cream puffs are fluffy and delicious. Not too sweet at all. Asian parents approved. Their two flavors are custard and whipped cream. Normally, I'd find custard or whipped cream would feel sticky in your mouth because of too much sugar or whatever, but this isn't the case. It's light and delightful. Eventually, you'll end up eating the whole box! They taste the same or better the next day too. Their regular donuts aren't dense at all. Just like their cream puffs, they are light and fluffy and you can't go wrong with any of their flavors. I like the classic chocolate and glazed donuts without fillings. Their service is quick, but the cashier has a soft voice, so it may be better to point to the items you want. I can't wait to come back for more. read more

5 stars because I had a dozen donuts and they were still soft and fresh tasting the next day, impressively, no stale donuts here! The dough was fluffy with a good amount of texture. They are light handed on the glaze, but good enough for sweetness and taste, not overwhelming sweet. Bacon on the maple bar was crispy and not soggy, another star here. Everything a breakfast donut should be. If you like a bit of salty and sweet, then this donut is for you. Powdered cream puff was good, but the cream texture could be more whipped or maybe it was the type of cream they used, which I wasn't a big fan of. Tasted a little artificial, but it's not a big enough deal for me to knock off a star. I think kids might enjoy this item. I usually prefer regular donuts vs. old fashion, but the old fashion donuts here deserves to be mentioned. The cake like donuts were excitingly moist and doesn't fall apart and crumble as I bit into them, very good! Will definitely be back to try more donuts from here! read more

I walked in and there was one person in front of me which gave me enough time to take a look at what they had available. After looking at the display and the menu, I ended up getting a dozen donut holes and a medium black coffee. Overall, this was a great first visit. The employee I interacted with was friendly. The donut holes were delicious and my coffee definitely hit the spot. It was all decently priced too. Dozen donut holes for less than $2, yes please! I went here because people said the cream puffs are really good, so I ordered some custard cream puffs. Dough is fluffy and it still feels warm when biting into them. Great donuts from owners who care! My daughter was to get the 2020 donut from a location (donut company) that will remain nameless though the store didn't make them and gave plain donuts to her. I came here one morning just to see how it compared to other donut shops I've been to. I went around 10am, and they still had a lot of donuts left. There was less selection compared to other shops I've been to, they just have the very basics, not really any specialty donuts like maple bacon, cereal, or the fancier ones with candies or cookies on top. I bought a dozen (12 donuts, not 13), for $12.50 and I got one of almost every donut just to try. Though their selection of donuts was unimpressive, their donuts are quite good!! The normal donut itself is REALLY GOOD imo. It's fluffy with just enough chew, and it doesnt taste fried or greasy or anything. Their glazed donut is my favorite. Their french donut is really good, but the glaze on it is too sweet for me. The old fashioned is good! Crunchy on the outside, cakey on the inside. I really liked their apple fritter, it's smaller than I'm used to, but nice and crunchy (though ours were slightly burnt). If you're looking for good quality basic donuts, this is your place to go!
