Very welcoming and friendly establishment! It was my first time at this donut shop. Cute shop. I like the fact that they labled each donut. I wanted to get some crullers but they were out. They did tell me that I can call them next time in the early morning and they will save some for me. I ended up getting half dozen of cream puffs and 3 cronuts. Cream puffs were so light, fluffy and not too sweet. Perfect treat if you just want a small sweet snack. Cronuts were good, definitely filling. Besides donuts, they offer breakfast sandwiches, coffee and ice cream. Plenty of parking in the plaza. read more

We LOVE Kacie's Donuts! It's our go to place for breakfast when we have to drive down I-5 on the weekends. They make breakfast sandwiches with either bagels or croissants! We ask the kiddo what she wants to eat "My regular, the number 5." Haha she's got a favorite. We order sandwiches and a donut each for a snack. The owners are soooooooo nice. My favorite donut shop in Elk Grove. The perfect spot to pick up some delicious donuts on the weekend. They are not overly sweet. The fluffy ones are nice and airy. They cake ones like the buttermilk bars are perfect too. The hey have cronuts and bacon bars too. I tried their breakfast sandwiches and they were great too. Plus they have coffee!!. A hole in the wall donut shop in the heart of Elk Grove. They have a wide variety of donuts from your classic glazed to specialty donuts. There's plenty of seating and the staff were very efficient. Unfortunately when we got there, most of their donuts were sold out, but we were lucky enough to try what was remaining, which were some of their glazed donuts, and it was very good! Cute little mom and pop shop. Interior is clean and displays all their baked good prominently to the front of the business. Customer service is very prompt and well done. Kacie's Donut Lounge has been around for a while & they have been consistently producing quality donuts along with excellent service on every visit. Comparing to other donut shops, they offer my Favorite cream puffs with either whip cream or custard fillings. I usually get 1-2 dozens just for myself. It looks like Kacie's Donuts is under new ownership. One obvious change is that their donuts have significantly shrunk yet the price is the same. I know since Covid and the so called "supply chain crisis" all donut stores drastically increased their prices, but this is ridiculous. I really want to support local businesses, but they are making it very difficult. Hopefully Kacie's Donuts will realize they need to bake their donuts back to regular size. read more

My cousin-in-law picked up these donuts after taking his boys to their baseball game. The doughnuts were really good and very fresh. The boys could not get enough of those little Mini donut balls. They were very good. I really like going to local bakeries when it comes to donuts as I just feel the donuts are fresher. Sunday mornings have become a tradition of coffee and donut runs. We have passed by Kacie's a few times and finally decided to try them. We got our standard order: glazed (baseline to compare to others), maple (my fav), blueberry cake (husbands fav), and an apple fritter (family go-to and one of the only donuts my mom will eat). Donuts: 5- stars, everyone agreed-- best (so far) in Elk Grove. Reminded me of my childhood. All were very tasty, slightly crisp on the outside with a chewy inside. Didn't coat the mouth in a weird way (super oily donuts are the worst). The maple actually tasted like maple and not just sugar. The apple fritter was perfect. Still good the next morning even. Service: 5-stars. Super fast, very kind. Reasonably priced (on par with other local donut places). Cleanliness: small spot but very tidy.m and well stocked. We will definitely be returning. First time here and was disappointing. Stopped by 8 am on a Friday morning. Hoped to get some donuts before getting on the 5 Freeway for a trip. Not many donuts out on the shelves. They were actually rather bare with a slim selection. Surprising because it was 8 am in the morning. Asked for donut holes and the person who helped me asked another employee and they said they did not have any. I ended up pick out two other donuts. The two donuts tasted like they were "day-old". I received my first box of cream puffs as a gift and I was instantly hooked. They're so addictive that I had to buy some for myself. The shop is located next to the freeway and it's also next to a McDonald's in a small plaza with plenty of parking. It's a small, local shop; so support your small businesses! I can tell they're hard working people because of the quality of their pastries (haven't had their drinks yet) and the fact they're open every day. If you're looking for trendy, Instagram places, this isn't it; but it's certainly a place to satisfy your sweet tooth. The cream puffs are fluffy and delicious. Not too sweet at all. Asian parents approved. Their two flavors are custard and whipped cream. Normally, I'd find custard or whipped cream would feel sticky in your mouth because of too much sugar or whatever, but this isn't the case. It's light and delightful. Eventually, you'll end up eating the whole box! They taste the same or better the next day too. Their regular donuts aren't dense at all. Just like their cream puffs, they are light and fluffy and you can't go wrong with any of their flavors. I like the classic chocolate and glazed donuts without fillings. Their service is quick, but the cashier has a soft voice, so it may be better to point to the items you want. I can't wait to come back for more. read more

5 stars because I had a dozen donuts and they were still soft and fresh tasting the next day, impressively, no stale donuts here! The dough was fluffy with a good amount of texture. They are light handed on the glaze, but good enough for sweetness and taste, not overwhelming sweet. Bacon on the maple bar was crispy and not soggy, another star here. Everything a breakfast donut should be. If you like a bit of salty and sweet, then this donut is for you. Powdered cream puff was good, but the cream texture could be more whipped or maybe it was the type of cream they used, which I wasn't a big fan of. Tasted a little artificial, but it's not a big enough deal for me to knock off a star. I think kids might enjoy this item. I usually prefer regular donuts vs. old fashion, but the old fashion donuts here deserves to be mentioned. The cake like donuts were excitingly moist and doesn't fall apart and crumble as I bit into them, very good! Will definitely be back to try more donuts from here! read more

I was craving donuts one morning since my co-worker mentioned donuts the day before so I decided to pay Kacie's Donut Lounge. When I arrived, I was got parking right up front. I walked in and there was one person in front of me which gave me enough time to take a look at what they had available. After looking at the display and the menu, I ended up getting a dozen donut holes and a medium black coffee. Overall, this was a great first visit. The employee I interacted with was friendly. The donut holes were delicious and my coffee definitely hit the spot. It was all decently priced too. Dozen donut holes for less than $2, yes please! I will be back again one day when I get that sudden urge for some donuts! read more

Donut shop is nice and spacious, if I remember correctly this used to be a Java Time. The decor is much nicer and the people working here are friendly. I went here because people said the cream puffs are really good, so I ordered some custard cream puffs. Dough is fluffy and it still feels warm when biting into them. I got one donut, it was pretty standard. It wasn't much different from other donut places I've been to. The cream puffs might be the main reason I would come back. read more

I REALLY like these donuts. I have been here at 2pm and at 4am and they're always fresh and delicious. They are not dense like most donuts they're fluffy and yeasty and very unique. Their cream puffs are also amazing. I really don't steer clear of the usual donuts but their classics never fail. Definitely worth getting a dozen to try. Great donuts from owners who care! My daughter was to get the 2020 donut from a location (donut company) that will remain nameless though the store didn't make them and gave plain donuts to her. She only went for the 2020. I went to Kacies to see if they could do something and without a pause they pulled a dozen donuts and some extra frosting and came up with the photo attached. Ok so what I'm writing a donut shop review two days straight. No judgments. This place was again a standard donut shop. Was missing a few of my go-to's but at least my French cruller was here! Of all the croissants in the Sacramento area, this one from Mellobun is one of my top contenders for best in the city (favorite is Julian's in Folsom). The salt bread is a new discovery for me and the sourdough base also makes it stand out from traditional Asian salt breads. It has a nice crust and delicate interior that is fluffy and just the right saltiness. The Korean cream cheese was too sweet for my palate but it's always fun to try flavored versions of classic Viennoiserie. I was expecting a more savory cheese bread but this is definitely a sweet + onion flavor. Customer service is very responsive. The baked goods were a little late from scheduled pick-up and the bakery texted me to confirm new time; was missing a croissant in my box and the team quickly refunded for the correct amount of goods.

So presentation wise, they have it down. Taste wise, ugh. Texture is all wrong and way too sweet. I grabbed an old fashioned donut to take home and by the time we got home, it felt all mushy, unlike old fashioned donuts at other shops. You know it's bad when the donut sits around at home untouched by everyone! But I'd say it's a good place to go for maybe kids, teens and younger customers who just want a cool-looking donut and some sugar. Our gift recipients thought they were super cool though.
