This was our first time visiting The Donut Hole in Santa Rosa and not Destin, and we had a great experience. The inside is very inviting and open allowing for a lot more customers to be sat. We went on a Friday morning around 1030 and were seated immediately - even though it was still crowded with no wait. I ordered the egg sandwich and my husband got the monster omelet - both were phenomenal and very filling. Donut hole has the best key lime pies and donuts they do however have other foods we have not tried but if your by a donut hole they are similar to Thomas donuts both are excellent places to get donuts. If you like key lime you have to get one at donut hole they are really that good! read more

Had not one but two wonderful experiences, had a monster omelet with hash browns for breakfast then was so pleased ordered dinner, which happened to be a patty melt with fries, portion sizes are enormous for the price and the food was delicious. We stopped here to pick up some donuts the first day we arrived at the beach. The donuts were good, but not the best that we had in the area. It was quick service, but a very overwhelming environment due to little space and lots of people. We can never get enough of the Donut Hole when we are in Panama City or Destin! They are open from breakfast-dinner with breakfast served all day! We eat here at least 3 to 4 times per trip! There breakfast always taste amazing and fresh, with large portions and I cant not say enough about there lunch and supper menu either!!! For sure 5 stars across the board! Summer has been a bit busy so I did not get to place this review in a timely manner. I had to pleasure of eating the Doughnut Hole in Inlet beach. I am not one to do lines but the place was highly recommended and I always choose to spend my money at locally owned establishments. The host was highly efficient and polite. A great start to any meal. First touches are so important, as well as first impressions. The highlight of our meal was the service. Janet was efficient, knowledgeable and made our very tedious guest's food come out to the long winded specifications they required. (I know. Audible sigh) I will be returning and recommending this place in the future. Hopefully Janet has not completed her tenure there when I inevitable arrive. read more

We are locals and ate there regularly until our last visit. Open faced roast beef and mushrooms was not fit to eat. The portion has gotten smaller, they stuck it under a broiler until the meat was burned up and looked like thin leather. That's about the third bad meal in a row I've had so I'm done. Stopped in donut hole this morning and was greeted by some amazingly friendly staff members. I bought my daughter a run-of-the-mill chocolate donut with sprinkles and she says it was delicious. I chose the biscuits and gravy and it was certainly delicious. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for this type of food. While I was there, three Florida department of wildlife and fisheries officers came in and I very privately asked my waitress to put their bill on my tab so that I could buy their breakfasts. So this is a mixed review. We were sat quickly and the food came out fast. We had a donut to start and with a place called the Donut Hole...I was expecting more than a dry donut you could get at a chain place. My husband ordered a breakfast sandwich and he loved it and ate the whole thing. I ordered a ham and cheese omelette that came out flat and dark brown on both sides (I'm used to fluffy and yellow omelettes.). I tried it and just couldn't eat it. Our waitress never came to check on us so when she came to clear our plates she said nothing about my untouched food. I told her that it was overcooked and looked at me and said "sorry" and then handed us the check. I'm not one to ever try and get a free meal or cause a stink so we paid it but I was very underwhelmed and disappointed that the waitress seemed u concerned. I won't be coming back here. read more

Arrived at 5:45pm on a Monday night to find hardly any donuts on the shelf, bedsides a coconut cake donut, apple spiced and blueberry filled. Approx 20 donuts total. No glazed, jam, chocolate glazed or anything traditional. Hence why I gave it 1 star. They say they're open until 10pm and they still had 4 hours until close and you would think being 'The Donut Hole', they would have a decent selection at any time, not the case. Don't bother going in the evening. Side note: Voodoo donuts in ATX is open until 12am daily and makes freshly baked donuts throughout the day. We just left the restaurant and it was the worst breakfast I've ever had. I had the 2 eggs, grits, and biscuit and my husband had the same thing but added bacon. Well the food was just plain cold and seemed like it was cooked 2 hours before. The biscuits were huge but also cold and old. We also got the French toast. Just SO COLD and OLD. And one bite and it was terrible. Also, why so little grits and the hash browns were plenty. We have not tried the donuts so maybe they are fantastic. WHO KNOWS. This place is completely overrated!! The servers and others were very nice. But if you like your scrambled eggs cold and old and want to pay $15 bucks then it's no problem. I'm giving 2 stars as the people were friendly. read more
