I always hoped a breakfast burrito would pop up at a local donut shop and found one at Donut House, so many have breakfast bagels and croissants and for some reason if you wrap the same stuff in a tortilla it becomes much more appealing to me. Their hours are perfect for night owls and early risers, we came at 6:30 am and I think I saw on the sign they open at 3:30 am. Ham and Cheese Croissant: these are slightly smaller than at other places but also cheaper. I love how they used layers of Ham to block the egg and cheese so the croissants wouldn't get too soggy. Kids loved it. Sausage Breakfast Burrito: also a small size for cheaper, $5.75. I loved the size of this, don't expect anything fancy, it's a very simple burrito with breakfast ingredients that can be heated quickly to order. Donuts: they have cronuts as well as a giant cake sized donuts that was so big I couldn't imagine splitting it with my whole family. The chocolate twist and classic sugar donut were great. read more

I haven't been back to this location since before Covid when I was taking BART into San Francisco. Apparently, the new owners have been here for over 2 years. Sweet and friendly service. Woohoo! I always thought this was some "fake" donut house that was never open since it closes so early but I'm really glad they have extended their hours now to 2:00pm. I no longer have to wake up so early to get Donuts :) [[ Location ]] It is next to Fremont Bank and the CVS / 99 Ranch Shopping Center. It's in a "quiet" location but you can definitely see it when you are transitioning from 680 to 880 freeway and the new banner displaying their new hours will definitely catch your eye. [[ Food ]] Opted to try out their Donuts as they are a Donut House and see what the fuss is all about. I think most of the donuts are well priced between $1 to $4. I bought 6 donuts in total and it came out to $11. **Keep in mind there is a credit card transaction fee if you don't use cash which I think is around ~3.3% of the total price. I would bring cash.... Overall, I think the donuts have that "mom and pop" feel and they definitely taste decent. None of the donuts will make you feel like you are eating the best donuts in the world but I believe they are generally tasty and the ones with fillings have a decent amount in them. I also like how they are not too sweet so its not like you are eating a mouthful of sugar. For me the only downside is that I think some of the donuts are too dense and it can sometimes feel that you are eating too much "bread" in the donuts. Favorite donut I got from the bunch is the small blueberry donut. Really strong blueberry taste and it was actually quite soft and fluffy compared to some of the denser donuts I ate. The donuts are good and fresh since I brought them several times. However avoid their breakfast menu items. First, the eggs are cooked in a plastic togo container in the microwave! Is there no stovetop to cook eggs properly? Wtf?!!' I don't understand how you offer expensive (they nickel and dime extra stuff) breakfast items and cook it cheaply in the microwave. The ratio of meat and egg to carbs is very off as well. I ordered a bagel with cream cheese and the layer of cream cheese was barely visible! I had to do a double take to confirm if a layer of cream cheese was even there. I ordered a chorizo burrito and immediately regretted it. It was more tortilla than any meat or eggs in it. Five stars for quick and friendly service. The food came out quickly and it was very hot, which is just what you're looking for on a cold morning. The eggs, meat, and cheese were consistently warm. The cheese melted perfectly. The croissant seems kind of "flat," but that's either due to the preparation of the breakfast sandwich and/or the nature of their in-house pastry. You will never be disappointed when you order one of their donuts or sandwiches. This morning I was in the mood for their breakfast burrito. It is located more in the middle of the lot sandwiched between Fremont Bank and the East West Bank closer to the main street side. There is definitely a family-owned vibe and and the service is always great. We often get a few extra donut holes or donuts with our order and it's always a sweet little surprise. The best spot in the area! They have a ton of regulars, are run by a family, and are so friendly and personable. The storefront is a little small, but they're efficient and people are aways in and out quickly. I don't live here anymore, but when I'm around I like to order the sausage, egg, and cheese croissant sammich with jalapeños. TRY IT!! Their pickled jalapeños change everything!! Yum donuts! This donut shop has been here forever. The apple fritters are huge! The other donuts are tasty too. The buttermilk, cruellers and apple fritters are our favorites. Everything is fresh and prices are competitive with other local donut shops. They do take credit cards now and service is friendly. They have online ordering if you want to buy a dozen donuts in advance. They offer different combinations of donuts starting from the basics and increasing in price to include their fancy donuts. I think when ordering online they give you an assortment of donuts, you do not get to pick specific donuts. The one downside is their hours. They're only open from 3am - 11am. We're not early morning people so we don't get a chance to buy their donuts often. Would be nice if they stayed open until 1 or 2 pm. Next time I'm up late will have to come at 3am! read more

I'm so happy this place is open during my commute around 4:30am! There are already lots of people stopping in for a bite and coffee. This place is clean & tidy, bright lights, donuts and bagels assorted nicely, and of course a friendly staff. It sounds like the owners know everyone that comes in which is great. I can tell this is a well established donut spot with lots of regulars. I ordered their bagel sandwich with ham, eggs and Swiss. I'm a huge fan of breakfast sandwiches from donut spots so this one is also delicious. Prices range from about $1.25 a donut to $7 a bagel sandwich. They also serve coffee and large donuts for birthday celebrations! I'm a fan of this place and will definitely come by again in the early mornings. read more

My hiking group member has been touting the apple fritters at Donut House and that they were the best he's had anywhere. Apple fritters in my favorite donut, so I put it on my to-try list when I was in the South Bay. At today's hike, he surprised us and brought apple fritters for all of us. I brought it home and had it as my dessert after dinner. The fritter was huge and had a nice crispy shell with a nice amount of apples in and it was not overly sweet. I ended up grabbing a dozen (fancy) donuts this past Saturday morning. I got here around 9:30 am and lot of items were already sold out, however, they had enough for me to still pack a dozen (included buttermilk, twists, jelly filled, cruellers, and long johns). They were out of the twists and cruellers when I was there but that's ok as I was really just craving their buttermilk donut. They are huge and one of my favorites. They have plain, glazed and chocolate buttermilk but I'd have to say that the glazed buttermilk is my favorite. There were a couple of people in front of me but line moved fast. I noticed that they do have an online ordering system where you can order your donuts the evening before. I believe online versus in person cost is $1-ish more? This is a good idea to make sure you get what you want, but for myself, I'm not typically a morning person so I didn't want to order ahead and end up not getting up to grab them! Came up and the restaurant is very clean and it feels and seems like a normal but upscale donut shop. They have done a nice job remodeling their case to follow the old Covid mandates. Looks so good they should just keep the glass up. They have a nice wood trim around the glass. It appears they are following all Covid rules.
