A friendly mom and pop shop. Lately I have been exploring local donut shops in which I pass by all the time, but I have never visited. This shop is located next to a FoodMax which I frequent the shop at later in the afternoon. 1.75 for an original glazed and 0.35 for a donut hole. I swung by around 9 AM on a weekday morning and the display was 90% gone. Good for them! read more

Friendly staff, fluffy yummy donuts at a reasonable price! The cake donut is very moist! They can also do large catering orders and only need at least 1 day advance notice. You have to pay a little extra fee for having them bagged individually. read more

On Stevenson next to the Gas Station, nice family owned place that is open very early which I love. When I went most of the early customers were contractors and were loading up on the Breakfast sandwiches and Coffee. We got the Ham and Sausage Breakfast Croissants, they are made to order. You can see them made right behind the cash register. They have their system down and the sandwiches were ready in less than 5 minutes, they come pre-cut in half and are beautifully layers and very precisely cut, taste is great...not too heavy or greasy. 5/5. Sausage Roll, sausage tasted really good, reminded me more like a Portuguese Sausage than a hotdog. A lot of asian bakeries go light on the hotdog to carbs ratio, Penny does opposite with a huge amount of sausage and very thin bread around it. We actually had to wrap it one more time at home in tortilla to soften the Sausage. Donuts were good, definitely fresh made that morning. read more

I love donuts. I have a mental checklist of all the places I like. Penny Donuts is my go to. The uncle and auntie there are so sweet. No matter how busy it gets, they're always always on top of it. Especially in the mornings when it's rush hour from construction workers etc. coming in during the EARLY hours for coffee, breakfast sandwiches and donuts. So so sweet and the donuts are always solid. I really like their donut holes and old fashioned donuts. read more

Walked in about 9am on a weekday, and walked out in LESS than 5 mins for my Apple Fritter. The process was QUICK and SIMPLE. If you're NOT having a box of donuts for breakfast, I'd recommend bringing some CASH. Anything less than $5, there's a 0.50 additional charge. Apple Fritter was AIGHT, nothing really to write home about. I'll probably try their sandwiches next time as I see people raving bout it. Anyways, I definitely recommend y'all check them out and support the small mom n pop donut shop instead of Krispy Kreme! read more

I was introduced to this place from my son's pre-school. They served some delicious donuts for their family day and I couldn't resist finding out about the store. They warned me that I need to go there early or order in advance to get it. Located near the FoodMaxx on Stevenson Blvd. been to that complex so many times and never spotted this place. Walked in about 9am on a weekend, there was already a good number of customers waiting. The lady over there was really helpful and explained me that I may have to wait for some time to get the donuts due to high demand. I ordered for a dozen and waited for around 20 mins. Must say, the wait was worth. the donuts were too good to miss. while waiting, I noticed that they have different varieties of sandwiches and smoothies as well. May be the next time. Small place, service is terrific. Like I mentioned, you have to be there early to get the donuts. Total value for money stuff. recommended. read more

I've been to Penny Donuts since I was a kid, with my mom. Now as an adult I still visit from time to time, because their breakfast and donuts are undeniably delicious!! I love their kindness, cleanliness, how quick they are, and overall always a 100/10 experience. They're like family, My favorite family owned breakfast donut shops. I just happened to notice this place as I was walking to a store in the area. I saw their menu board and was curious. I finally decided to try them in December 2021. I ordered a strawberry smoothie with boba, a turkey avocado croissant sandwich, and a pastrami croissant sandwich. When I got to the register and ordered, the workers were extremely friendly and nice. My order took a few minutes, and I must say. That was one of the tops sandwiches I've ever had. They're cheap too. I ate the turkey, my dad had the pastrami. He alas said his sandwich was one of the best he's had. I highly recommend this place, both for the customer service and the tasty food. I go there every single week now for a sandwich. read more

This mom n' pop shop is a local treasure ran by friendly owners. I've been coming here for the better part of 5 years and I bring about 3 dozens of donuts into work each month - everyone keeps on asking where I'm getting them. If that's not a good testament, then I don't know what is. Everything is done fresh daily. Just the plain glazed is good but what's better is the crullers. So fluffy and they bake them so well. Seems like the popular time is between 6-8am so if you are coming for breakfast - expect a little wait. read more

I usually come here randomly when I'm in the mood for some fresh, hot, succulent, delicious donuts, and every time I come here they deliver. Service is amazingly fast and efficient. It doesn't matter if there are two customers or ten you'll be outta there in less than five minutes I guarantee it!!! I've always been a fan of the pink box donut companies versus Krispy Kreme (although not bad) and grocery store donuts simply because the quality can't be beat. Penny donuts has set up their business to be social distant compliant with touchless payments, visible face masks signs (mandatory), and plastic shields just in case someone has that unpredictable sneeze. So if your in the Fremont area and in the mood for a tasty donut or two stop by Penny's and treat yourself. How could I forget, but if your not in the mood for a donut they have many different options of breakfast sandwiches such as (bacon/egg), (ham/egg/avocado), (turkey/bacon/lettuce) just to name a few. Coffees that are always hot and ready to serve, energy drinks, OJ, sodas, apple juice and etc. Overall a solid spot to grab a quick breakfast. Go early to mid day because they close at 2pm. read more

I haven't tried the bagels yet but what I can say is that sandwiches are very delicious, flavorful, portions are big. The donuts are good, a variety to choose from. The drinks, I'm not a fan of. I would pass on the drinks (Starbucks, Peet's or milk teas elsewhere is better). Limited seated indoors, space is fairly clean. Parking is available in front or in the parking lot. Can get a bit busy, but I usually stop by before 8am. The staff is very nice and polite. Overall, would recommend!

Although they don't have the donut I typically get, the freshness and fluffiness of their donuts make up for it! It's like biting into a could :) this location is a bit far from where I live but it's worth the drive. The customer service is great and the food. The inside is very clean and presentable. They also have great sandwiches! Way better than Lloyd's donuts off of Mowry. I'm glad I made the switch. read more

But it's a cozy local shop. I kind of wish they still had donuts though. Credit card is now only a minimum of $6.
