The best I've had for the money and as good as any for taste. I went in early on Sat because I've tried a few other shops the left me disappointed. The only thing I tried that didn't quite attain peak perfection for me was the buttermilk donut. Just not like the old time ones. BUT, the others were excellent inc a big apple fritter that was very good. The glazed blueberry was as good or better than any other one I've had. While the donuts by themselves were great, the service however was not. The server that took my order did the bare minimum required to do her job and seemed like she wasn't interested in what she was doing. The employee who cashed my out also opened the bag and got her face almost comically close to my food to count the donuts instead of simply asking me or the other employee who bagged the donuts for me how many donuts I had. I am so happy that The Donut Parade has reopened. The place looks so much better now, its bright and clean and just looks like it has a new lease on life. I pre-ordered a dozen of the maple bars, and it was so quick to list run in pick up my order, pay and out the door. The maple bars are fantastic, they are so light and fluffy, you seriously would not have a problem eating them all. What I loved about them, they were not greasy at all, not heavy and you didn't feel like you had a gut bomb in your stomach, and your fingers were not al greasy from the oil I highly recommend them, and all my coworkers loved them as well! read more

So happy Donut Parade has reopened! I have gone twice. The first time I had an apple fritter and a maple bar. The apple fritter was crunchy with tart apples. It was perfect...not burnt tasting or doughy. The maple bar didn't have any maple in the glaze, but was still good. The second time I picked up two dozen to bring to work. I couldn't believe no one was there at 7:30 in the morning! I hope business picks up. Anyway, this time the maple was on the bars and they were great. I think the doughnuts were slightly better before...maybe all the grime added something extra? But these are still so much better than places with fancy doughnuts with cereal and crap on a terrible tasting doughnut. Right up there with Donuts to Go and Mike's! read more

Used to go to Donut Parade before it closed in 2016, so happy it is open again. Excellent donuts, maple bars are a must have. It also has a refurbished interior and looks great in my opinion. Outside windows have been cleaned as well. Employees are great and they have added a small amount of merchandise (hats, shirts, etc.) that you can buy, which I like. I read in the paper a couple weeks ago that they would be re-opening under new management, and they have done a great job. For sure the best donuts in downtown Spokane. Fortunately for my health, I have not tried every donut citywide but there is a good chance this is the best in all of Spokane. Go to Donut Parade! read more

The line wasn't too bad on a Saturday Morning when we went, it was out the door and around the corner but it wasn't a long wait, as we were just getting past the front door another customer came out and said there were no Maple Bars and there would be an hour wait, but I didn't mind, I'd gone and met up with my In-Laws and we just got two dozen boxes of various donuts. Here's the kind of luck I have. I find this place two weeks before I move from Spokane to Denver. Of course I never knew of it for the past six years that I spent in Spokane. Place is awesome, the Apple Fritter and Maple Bar. Coffee is great, from the local coffee shop down the road. Owners are super nice. How nice? So nice that a lady asked about the ingredients of doughnut due to allergies of someone in her family and the owner went and confirmed all of the ingredients to see if it would be an issue (it was, she didn't get it). This is THE spot for quality, handmade donuts in Spokane. They produce a mean bacon maple bar but my favorites are their classics. The old fashioned donuts are so addictive. And we went and we were like "meh" and also a little "ummm, ewww". Because, no lie, our shoes were sticking to the floor - the - whole time. It was dark. It was smelly, not in a "Yum! Fresh doughnuts!" kind of way. More like "Did the coffee spill from 1979 ever get cleaned up?" smelly. And we never went back. Recently it closed, then reopened, and somewhere in between got a facelift and a massive cleaning! Halleluyer!! I heard this week that they have a new breakfast sandnut?doughwich? (sausage, egg and cheese in doughnut dough) and fried to order. I needed one. I got one. I am in heaven. Some of the best donuts EVER! Get there early to get a nice spot to sit and enjoy yourself. Watch how quickly this donut shop will fill up. Service is...well...weird. we stood there at the counter and noby helped us. Then we sat down and got ignored. Finally we stood back up when more people came and a line formed. Otherwise it was like we were the invisible first people there. That sucked and made me grumpy but the donuts were honestly worth it....this time. I go here every Friday morning with my girlfriend for their Friday Special. They say it is a cup of coffee and two maple bars for $3, which is already amazing. But if you sit down and eat, they bring you an entire pot of coffee with cream and sugar. So its really like all the coffee you can drink and two maple bars. They have specials everyday, but Friday is my favorite by far. They also have day old donuts like most places. These ones are $4 for a "dozen" but when I did it they let me get 14... so they are pretty generous on the day olds. The staff is very nice and really respects us regulars. read more
