Best donuts in town!!! I love their crossandwiches too! Even the people on a diet will indulge if you bring a half dozen or a dozen donuts from here to a gathering! The service is always friendly, the place is always clean. It's old school and cash only, so come prepared! I always leave a tip because I don't have donuts often, but I love theirs so much!

Cute little donut place across the street from Gayle's Bakery. DONUTS: 5/5 Delicious! Best donuts in town. My favorites are the raspberry filled glazed donuts and the glazed with sprinkles. CUSTOMER SERVICE: 5/5 Such good customer service! The woman working when I went in today gave me two donut holes for free. PRICE: 5/5 If you want to pay $1 for a humungous donut, come here! The prices are amazing for how good of quality and taste the donuts are. OVERALL: I love this place so much and will definitely be back!

We drive all the way from Scotts Valley for these donuts. They are the best, truly. Come early as they sell out very fast.

When we left Livermore, we thought that we would not find a better donut shop then the one down town, but we did. It is the Donut Station.

I remember them being good donuts, but mostly I remember it being the place in elementary school I could go to play arcade games down the street, if I had quarters. Well, we still visit and stay at my parents' place a few times a year, and a couple months ago, after lunch nearby, my wife saw their sign and said she'd love a donut - first time I'd actually *been* there since I was a kid. Inside, it absolutely looks and smells exactly like it did in 1990 - they even still have old-school arcade games, though I don't think the *same* boxes they had in 1990, but still. Same handful of tables, same solid selection of types of donuts. Obviously much pricier, but that's expected - prices weren't unreasonable, the old fashioned I tried being $2.75 (10-15% off if you buy in bulk, which we obviously did not.) That said, I'm not sure if they went downhill a bit since their heyday or if, certainly, I just didn't have nearly as refined a palate in elementary school as now... I remembered them being fantastically good donuts. They are... good. They're not bad, there's nothing wrong with them, if you're in the area and you're looking for donuts, I'd certainly recommend you go here over any of the big chains, not only on philosophical grounds but also because the donuts here are gonna be better. But I've also had much better donuts - I found their old fashioned a bit too sweet, a bit too dense, not quite crispy enough. I enjoyed it, but I wouldn't go out of my way. (I forget the donut my wife got, but she also agreed with me, that it was good but not *great*.)

The croissant was sooo buttery, the pesto was very garlicky, and the tomato tasted fresh and vibrant. The employees were very kind. They were open but I think items were limited at the time and we were still masked up. My experience then was less than stellar but honestly, I think we were all still on edge. For this visit, we stopped in before heading home to pick up some pastries for a light breakfast. It was around 10 am and it was bustling. Clearly it is a popular spot but the line moved fast. We ordered ham and cheese croissants, an almond croissant, cinnamon roll with raisins (you can get them without as well) and an apricot pocket. Everything we tried was delicious and I mean DELICIOUS. The pastries were buttery and flaky and I am craving another almond croissant as I write this, lol. We didn't want to order any hot food since we were about to hit the road but they also sell breakfast sandwiches and burritos and it smelled heavenly in there. It is a little cramped with a few small tables but there is also a patio with a kind of wild garden which was very charming. I can 100% see this being a must stop for us whenever we visit Santa Cruz!

(The meat pie and pastry we ordered were not warmed all the way, but the bagel was good) Then inside seating area was also sticky and slightly dirty looking. Our second visit was yesterday 6/20, and it sounds like we weren't the only unhappy customers based on other reviews. I'm not surprised to hear the lady in charge that morning rudely made customers leave because she "needed a reset". We asked about getting pizza around 10:45 am, which we acknowledged was early...but just asking to see what was possible. Instead of a real explanation, we got a snarky look at her watch and just an "um, noooo" with a bad attitude. If there was a real reason, like the dough wasn't ready or the oven wasn't on (it was, we could see the flames) I would understand. However, the lady was complaining to a coworker about an issue with the manager or something while we waited in line so there was already some unprofessional behavior beyond the lack of customer service. We left without getting anything at that point. We won't be back to Venus, The Pixie Deli down the street has good food and friendly service.
