The bagel that I got was just OK. I was hoping for the bagel just to be a little bit more softer, but also as it was toasted just to have that slight crunch as you bite into it. The spread was really good and I can appreciate a good amount being placed on my bagel. They had an assortment of different flavor options which I liked as well but preferably I wish my bagel was a little bit softer. Service was friendly, and the ambience was was calm. read more

Damn.... That cheese Louie cream cheese is on another level. I'm still thinking about it. It's super garlicky and herby. It heightened the flavor profile of the bagel itself. My only comment is that the bagel was toasted a little too hard and the eggs cooked a little hard but they were seasoned pretty well and I loved the veggies inside. I also bought some cool drinks I'm excited to try. The have a fully stocked fridge of sodas, teas, soda water, yerba mate, probiotic sodas and all the things. My type of place and my type of vibes! This place gets worse every day. The employees never acknowledge you when you walk in . They seem to hate their job. They are always talking amongst each other or on their phones. I came per a friend's recommendation, and I am disappointed to say this place did not live up to the Santa Cruz hype. The bagels and spreads offered were very underwhelming, and everything I tasted was very mild in flavor. I tried the signature "Pink Flamingo," and every mouthful was just pure, raw onions with an unpleasant raw tomato paste flavor from the spread, and the bagel itself was incredibly dry. I also got a chai tea, and it was also mild in flavor and not that great. However, one of my friends got a hot cider, and that was good. Bagelry is a local bagel store owned everyday from 7 to 2pm for breakfast. I had the bagel with egg and bacon, it was delicious. They have a out door spot allow you to eat and work. It is nice. Service is limited to the frontdesk cashier and ambiance is a local Cafe environment. read more

Awful Bagels. They tasted stale and day old. No real flavor, dried out and the texture sucks. I have had these bagels many times before without knowing it. They have been provided for staff before at work and I always thought they were crappy store bought bagels. I recognized them as soon as I took a bite out of kin this morning. Came here at 1pm on a Saturday. There were a couple other customers waiting for their orders, but otherwise no line. They were out of "everything" bagels, so my friend got a "whole wheat everything" bagel instead. I got a sesame bagel with 1/2 Lox & Cream Cheese with green onions, and it was delicious! The 1/2 portion meant only 1 half of the bagel had the cream cheese spread with smoked salmon, and the other half was plain. This was the perfect portion for my picnic on the beach! read more

Great bagels, would recommend going in the morning for the freshest bagels. Line can be long, but moves fast. My husband and I are new to this area, thought we would give it a go here We stood in line; this was Saturday mid- morning Our greeter was very friendly, took our order (6 bagels, cut in 1/2- three sesame seed, two pesto one onion) Not difficult, right? 25 minutes later after seeing the 4 customers after me receiving their orders I asked politely if there was an issue with our order--apparently someone else took it (they wrote down a male name, Paul instead of my name) Got my order then and when we got home they had given us three poppy seed instead of sesame seed-- oh well-- The bagels were also not to our liking-- they were small and hard ( not large and soft as what we are used to )-- not bad, just not very exciting-- and I'm sorry but we won't be back! read more

Consistently delicious bagels! They have an option for everyone, including hummus and a tofu spread that are vegan friendly. I typically dig The Bagelry but they have been #fail the last couple times I've been able to go. The service gets worse and worse each time. They also mess up orders pretty consistently. I ordered a poppy moxie with cheese louise and they didn't even add the olives! In addition, they only gave a super weak amount of green onions (see my picture). The bagel is still ok and the cheese louise is still solid. They also don't keep a good stock of domino cookies in any store and they are half the reason why I go. Last time I went, they didn't give us a hummus in a container, like we ordered, but put it on a bagel so we were overcharged. It's a real letdown because I now live outta town so this spot is supposed to be a treat. Instead, it's just a trick. 2 stars. read more

Absolutely delicious, fresh, perfectly sized bagels that would fool any bagel aficianado. We ordered a half dozen, and honestly, one wasn't better than the other, they were each uniquely their own and put me in a serious food coma. Their spreads are fantastic too - perfectly creamy and flavorful while not overwhelming any bagel flavor should you mix-and-match. We ordered a bagel with moxie, which is supposed to come with green onions and black olives and they left out the black olives. I like the Bagelry but all I WANT is a well toasted bagel. NOT a burnt on the top non toasted on the bottom. I am not sure what i need to express in order to receive a well toasted non burnt bagel. Perhaps the toasters only warm or burn. HOW I LIKE MINE: I enjoy my bagels soft and hot on the inside and crispy dark brown on the outside. At home I usually need to toast the bagel three times on the regular to low setting to achieve this. I GET IT: I understand a breakfast bagel shop can be busy and time is an issue. However I know the bagel I want takes time, so I allot the time and expect to wait. I know my bagel cannot be rushed if made right. So dont RUSh IT! grrrrrr MY STRUGGLE: I have requested a well done bagel and it came out burnt and not hot on the inside, as if only the outside was scorched. I have asked for my bagel to be toasted twice, uh not the desired effect still!, the outside was kind of toasted and the inside was warm but not hot. Finally I asked for my bagel to be quad toasted, with a puzzled look from the cashier an "OK" was muttered. The end result was a burnt bagel cold on the outside and yes tasted very burnt. wOW idk what I gott DO?....mAKE THEM AT HOME. OR F.it( Forget it) and just have fruit and toast. FYI: The bagels here are made on site. so from the dough to the door, its pretty home made. So the bagels are firmer here, not like Noah's at all! And more dense, the dough is a yellow color.
