So we were on our way to Santa Cruz and decided to stop here for donuts after stopping at the mosque nearby in the morning. Really great donut shop and environment and friendly staff and good coffee and they are awake early. We ordered in total 6 donuts, and 2 hot chocolates and coffee. Drinks were great. The donuts, I think the glazed and chocolate the batter was a bit sticky and not as soft to bite into. They were a bit hard, was expecting to be a bit more differ. Also the layer of glaze was different from what i have had at other small donut shops Il come Back again next time to see if maybe todays batch was a bit off compared to maybe their regular days

I went in on my way to the beach for a sandwich and although a limited men (just 4 sandwiches) they were pretty good. I got the tri tip with the bbq sauce on the side and the chicken pesto. The ciabatta is the way to go. the server wrapped them up really nicely for me and i was off. Really fast service and I got an old Fashioned donut for the road which I thought was very good- they have a restroom and a self serve coffee station also. I would come back here for a quick bite next time again.

Donuts are so small compared to other locations and donut shops, I paid $3.50 for two of these, there normally 20-25% bigger. Lower prices or make them original s

I have been hearing all about the famous turkey sandwich and I finally was able to try it today! It was soooo good! The turkey was moist, the cranberry sauce was the perfect amount, the lettuce fresh and crispy and the bread was baked that day! Chefs kiss ! The woman working the front was super friendly and made the sandwich so quickly I was impressed. This is going to be a lunch break spot from now on! Definitely worth trying if you haven't because you're missing out!

I remember them being good donuts, but mostly I remember it being the place in elementary school I could go to play arcade games down the street, if I had quarters. Well, we still visit and stay at my parents' place a few times a year, and a couple months ago, after lunch nearby, my wife saw their sign and said she'd love a donut - first time I'd actually *been* there since I was a kid. Inside, it absolutely looks and smells exactly like it did in 1990 - they even still have old-school arcade games, though I don't think the *same* boxes they had in 1990, but still. Same handful of tables, same solid selection of types of donuts. Obviously much pricier, but that's expected - prices weren't unreasonable, the old fashioned I tried being $2.75 (10-15% off if you buy in bulk, which we obviously did not.) That said, I'm not sure if they went downhill a bit since their heyday or if, certainly, I just didn't have nearly as refined a palate in elementary school as now... I remembered them being fantastically good donuts. They are... good. They're not bad, there's nothing wrong with them, if you're in the area and you're looking for donuts, I'd certainly recommend you go here over any of the big chains, not only on philosophical grounds but also because the donuts here are gonna be better. But I've also had much better donuts - I found their old fashioned a bit too sweet, a bit too dense, not quite crispy enough. I enjoyed it, but I wouldn't go out of my way. (I forget the donut my wife got, but she also agreed with me, that it was good but not *great*.)

The croissant was sooo buttery, the pesto was very garlicky, and the tomato tasted fresh and vibrant. The employees were very kind. They were open but I think items were limited at the time and we were still masked up. My experience then was less than stellar but honestly, I think we were all still on edge. For this visit, we stopped in before heading home to pick up some pastries for a light breakfast. It was around 10 am and it was bustling. Clearly it is a popular spot but the line moved fast. We ordered ham and cheese croissants, an almond croissant, cinnamon roll with raisins (you can get them without as well) and an apricot pocket. Everything we tried was delicious and I mean DELICIOUS. The pastries were buttery and flaky and I am craving another almond croissant as I write this, lol. We didn't want to order any hot food since we were about to hit the road but they also sell breakfast sandwiches and burritos and it smelled heavenly in there. It is a little cramped with a few small tables but there is also a patio with a kind of wild garden which was very charming. I can 100% see this being a must stop for us whenever we visit Santa Cruz!

When my boyfriend and I walked in, one of the employees was having a conversation with what looked like friends. I didn't mind at first because there were two other employees standing at the front, so I assumed one of them would help us. Instead, we stood there for several minutes without anyone acknowledging us. I understand if the other employees weren't assigned to the register, but what bothered me was that no one even took a second to say, "We'll be with you shortly." A simple acknowledgment goes a long way and would have made a big difference. The lack of customer service and communication made us feel ignored so we just ended up leaving and went some place else. As someone who has supported this business for a long time, it was disappointing. I hope management addresses this because good customer service is just as important as the product itself.
