We were in town for a wedding and decided to try Doodles for brunch -- absolutely the right call. I had the biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, and a cinnamon roll, and WOW... that cinnamon roll was hands-down the best I've ever had. Soft, warm, perfectly iced -- unforgettable. We had a party of 9, and every single person raved about their food. The service was friendly, the vibe was relaxed, and everything came out hot and fresh. It's one of those brunch spots that instantly makes your "must-return" list. If you're in Lexington, don't skip Doodles. You'll be glad you didn't.

Cali resident and native Texan. I come to Lexington yearly for a business trip and always add Doodles to my list. Its clean, wholesome, and delicious food. I always feel good after breakfast, which is unlike the typical 2k calorie Denny's feast. I usually get the Heuvos Rancheros and am always happy with my choice. We usually get a order of beignets for the table and always convert some fans with the order Service is quick and the atmosphere is a great lunch vibe.

What a great breakfast place! Good atmosphere. Great food. Had the biscuits and gravy plate with eggs and fried potatoes. It was delicious. Highly recommended.

Great little casual breakfast place close to campus with parking. You order at the counter, then sit and they bring the food to your table. It's mostly standard breakfast items, but a few interesting adds, like beignets and side item options that include spicy fries or cheese grits. We tried a few different items. For me, it was the BELT, basically a BLT was egg and cheese grits as the side. It was pretty good. I'm glad I tried the grits, although they weren't quite my thing. Others ordered the Cure breakfast with fries, a breakfast sandwich with breakfast potatoes and the Little Egg Doodle. Everyone enjoyed our food and we compared it with breakfast the day before (I rated 5 stars) and we were mixed on which meal was better. For me, this is solid 4. My girls said the bacon was really good. The place is old fashioned cozy, but nothing special inside. Wood table felt a little sticky. You get coffee or drinks yourself and water/soda is a large acrylic glass. Nothing wrong with any of that, but you get the feel. Menu is good, food is solid, service is fast, and prices are reasonable. The beignets were good, because it's a beignet and who doesn't like a warm doughnut with powdered sugar, but it wasn't a great beignet, just a decent one. I would go back and I could see this as a regular for students on a weekend.

The most delicious biscuits and gravy! I eat this as my favorite meal no matter the day! #BirthdayBreakfast

I absolutely recommend Doodles for breakfast, brunch, lunch, late lunch, whenever!! I have tried multiple plates here and not one has let me down! I recommend this place to all my friends and this who come in from out of town! There is an inside and outside seating option for those who prefer one over the other! The ambiance is warm and inviting, the service is friendly, and the food is out on the table in a timely manner!

I love local Lex restaurants but Doodles was a dud. The biscuits and gravy lacked flavor, the biscuits seemed like smashed rolls, and the over easy eggs were overcooked. The rolls a/k/a biscuits were charred black and had a burned flavor. I hate giving a local restaurant a bad review but Doodles was a huge disappointment.

An almost completely self service establishment located in a really cool refurbished automobile garage that asks for a tip when you order your meal at the counter. That is annoying. The food is very well prepared and I loved my Doodle (it's a popeyed egg with a biscuit). It was so good we went out of our way to visit a second time. It's also important to say this restaurant values inclusivity. That makes this place even more special and worth the trip.

The food was very good. Lots of flavor. The restaurant was very busy. Looks like it might have been a service station in its earlier life. You place your order at the counter and then find a place to sit and eat. They will not take your order unless there are tables available or you are ordering to go. I loved the atmosphere, you could watch thee food preparation. Soft drinks, coffee are self served. Looking forward to coming back. I believe there hours are 8am to 2pm.

Great breakfast place in Lexington. Sometimes it does gets crowded, so do expect a line. Most of the times the lines goes quick. You order up front and then you go and pick a table. There are lots of outdoor seating and I was surprised by decent parking spaces as well. I got the Cajun shrimp and grits and they were great!

Been some time since last visit. Both of our meals were excellent & it was excellent day to set on patio. Will have to this up in our rotation...

Visited this location with my co-workers...Ample parking, clean restrooms, and quick service. The food was really good, too.

The best breakfast spot in Lexington in my Opinion. I eat here often. Local products and delicious food. Try the Huevos rancheros!

Josie's was our only stop in Lexington, but a pleasant one. My top-tier chum who literally went to…read morethe school of hospitality and I came by here to meet up with a colleague for brunch last Thursday morning. He's from this general area and recommended this spot, among a few others. I picked it because I liked the vibe, which I stand by in hindsight. Last Thursday was an atrocious weather day, raining for most of the time including the entire morning as we drove up to Lexington from Irvine. Since we'd never been over here, Josie's wasn't necessarily easy to spot apart from the other nearby businesses. It WAS very obviously in this larger strip mall situation (which doesn't seem like exactly the right term, but it's definitely in a building with a bunch of other stores), though we had to walk around almost the entire perimeter from our parking spot on Euclid to find it. Once we did, smooth sailing. Despite the fact that it was a weekday, Josie's was pretty busy when we walked in around 10ish. We WERE heading toward MDW, which could have been a factor, but this seems to be a pretty popular establishment regardless. It feels pretty new - this isn't like an old school greasy spoon diner type of situation - with some interesting artwork on the walls, and booths, regular tables and counter stools potentially available. Our colleague was already there and had secured a booth towards the back closer to the bathrooms, which allowed for some fun viewpoints of most of the restaurant. We were already a few days into our debauchery of a road trip, so I kept it pretty well-behaved - I opted for waffles with strawberries. That's it. The food came very quickly, as did the requested coffee, which might have ultimately been more important than the aforementioned waffles in the grand scheme of things. I honestly don't have a lot to say about them other than that they were perfectly fine waffles. The strawberries were fresh, the waffles themselves were cooked through but not too crispy, and that was that. I think it's a little hard to mess up something this basic, and thankfully all was well. The service was excellent throughout and even though I didn't foot any part of the bill (a thank you to our Kentucky colleague), the prices seemed very reasonable to me - though I also have a completely distorted perspective given that most of my consumerism takes place in the NYC area. No issues here; didn't see a ton of reasons to wander back into Lexington unless somehow Coach Cal comes back to coach the Cats and I miraculously score tickets to something at Rupp, but this was a nice little spot.

I must admit when I saw the size of her donuts I laughed because they were so big. Long story short what she got was a cronut not the traditional cake donut. Previously I've had the raspberry filled donut there and it was really good. The caramel turtle is also a cronut. She asked what kind of dough it was my guess was brioche because of the texture. I could be wrong. I liked my donut although it was a little messy to eat . My friend on the other hand didn't care for the cronut. The coffee though is always on point and it didn't disappoint. As for customer service they really are on point. I've been there a total of three times so far and every time they've been friendly and patient. Plenty of seating indoors and on the patio. I think after 1 pm they do donuts made to order (I didn't see the sign when we first walked in until after we placed our order). I just thought they sold out but the woman at the counter told me they do made to order.

Fair warning to anyone with even a shred of restraint: you will lose it the moment you take your first bite.
