Bad yelp review Every electric lock owner's nightmare happened to us while we were out of town: the battery died. Unfortunately I didn't plan for this and scheduled an appointment for door busters to come help with the situation. They were on time for the appointment and very nice. They did not check for ID or anything, which I thought was odd. They young technician was nice, took a while but that's ok. I had a very secure lock on there. They installed a deadbolt for me which was temporary. I was able to lock my house and go in and out with ease. It was pricey, over $200, but I was grateful. Fast forward to now, I purchased a more secure lock and was about to install it. Using my Philips, the first screw came out no problem. When I got to the 2nd screw, it loosened, then tightened again. What a nightmare. The screw was stripped. So now I can't tighten or loosen their deadbolt, or leave my house. I called them to see if they would come remove the stripped screw, and the woman I spoke to was very nice. The manager Joseph called, asked me to send my address, then called again and said that the lock was working before I tried to take it off so it would be an extra charge. He offered to put the new lock on for a charge as well. I feel a bit insulted, as I am great with these sorts of things, despite being a woman. Good customer service involves seeing things through. My dad lost his information to open his in home safe. My dad is 83 years and has Dimencia. He called this company to have it opened and to reset the code Thursday 1/5/23. I wasn't available to meet with the service person and I was stunned at the cost ! $1433.00 !! He was charged $985 just for a new key pad lock because he was told his was broken. I used that lock 2 days earlier and I know it was NOT broken. The very next day my dad missed the new code and couldn't get it open and he called them back for a second time in 2 days. He didn't tell me he could not open it, instead he called them again. When I saw the second bill, it was $729.00, i couldn't believe it !!! So in 2 days he paid $2161.00 to open a safe that cost $950 new. This is blatant elder abuse and I wouldn't recommend this business to the worst person on the planet !!!! read more

I had a bad experience with Door Busters!! I had an appointment with Daniel the service technician between 1:00-3:00 pm, he called me at 3:00 and said he'd be 1 1/2 hrs late then I told him if he didn't come over at 3:00 I would call someone else. He showed up at 3:30 a half an hour late. I told Daniel that I needed 4 new door handle sets with locks and a dead bolt, he said it would cost 800.00 hundred dollars, I thought that was really high priced and countered with 600.00 ( which was also very high I now know) he agreed to 600.00. After an hour Daniel told me he ran out of door knob locks and said he'd have to make a quick trip to his office to pick up some more. 2 hours later he shows up again and made excuses for why it took so long. He finished installing the door knobs w/ locks which looked so cheap and low quality. Then he installed a dead bolt that didn't even match the door knobs also low quality.I would never go back to this business. read more

I started calling around as I wanted to surprise her with the right key for her new wheels that has a remote. I called this company to install a keyless entry system for my business. There are several popular systems that would work with my member management software, but the owner assured me that I would be happy with the brand he could install, a brand I was unfamiliar with. Wrong. After the install I was unable change the codes the installer programmed into my unit, and the door was installed using a mechanism that was not to code. After several calls asking for help and finally asking for removal of the unit and a partial refund, I ended up calling another company to fix the issue created by DoorBusters. I ended up paying twice what I would have paid if I'd had the installation done correctly in the first place. I am very unhappy with the product and the service. During this process I've asked for a manual so that I can reset the codes myself, I was told that they could not locate a hard copy manual. I asked them to email a soft copy but have not received it. In all fairness, the installer did leave a hard copy of the small manual after the installation, but it was misplaced during all of the movement around the various installations. A few weeks ago someone from this company left a series of voice messages on my cell phone, I guess it was an attempt to talk me through the process of changing the codes. The voice quality was so poor on the message that I could not understand what was being said. I am very unhappy with the service and I regret that I paid so much for a unit that does not meet my needs. I've left several messages with this company but still no resolution. read more

I lost my car keys when they must have dropped out of my purse. Fortunately, I had a spare key, and just needed two extra keys and a fob for my Hyundai Elantra. After calling several potential locksmiths, I finally found a business that quoted reasonable prices. Most locksmiths were mobile only, and charged an average of $125 - $150 to come out. (Even Walmart had a key machine that was going to charge $38 for a spare key PLUS they would MAIL the key to you within 3 - 5 business days. No thanks!) I called Doorbusters, and was quoted a price of $6.95 for a duplicate key, PLUS, I could come to their location and save money. I already had a fob I had ordered on Amazon, so I brought that with me and drove across town. I paid a total of about $50 to have 2 spare keys made, and $30 to program my fob. I made sure all worked before leaving the establishment. They were FAST, EFFICIENT, and AFFORDABLE. I would not hesitate to recommend you give them your business. read more

I give this company Doorbusters lock & safe 5 stars for great customer from phone to tech cutting the keys. I was in a real bind & one of my co-workers said call Doorbusters on Charleston Bl. My wife had went to Wal-mart & she put her house key in the key machine there. after 1 min the key machine said remove key & then it broke the key at the base. after waiting at wal-mart for 2 hours a tech came & got the other half of the key out of the machine. i had called Doorbusters 1 hour before & now its after 5:00pm, the shop is closed. I called Doorbuster anyway & explained to the genltemen who answered the phone our problem with the broken key. that key was our only way into our home because I left my keys at home. to make a long story short, Doorbusters took care us after hours & did not charge some crazy after hours fee. I am a 70 year old Senior who just got charged $320 for rekeying 4 locks by them!!! When I contacted my usual locksmith, who was booked up on 6/12/21, for extra keys a couple of days later he told me that the standard fee for having 4 locks rekeyed is $120!!! Please know that $320 is ONE QUARTER of my Social Security Check! When I contacted Joseph, manager of DoorBusters, to complain he actually had the AUDACITY to ask me why I paid!!! He put me on the defense several times then told me he would call me in a week to 'get to the bottom of this'. Of course, no phone call! When I called him he said that the technician (scam artist) who had done the work would call me. When I talked to him, he BS'd me and told me that returning $200 was impossible.
