You schedule appointments for 2 hour duration time slots. ie. 10:00 to 12:00 on 4-10-26. Armando arrived at 10:28 which is very good for mexican time!!! He knows how to bid a job to make you money as a valuable employee, $ 1,000.00 is a lot of money for a 81 year old homeowner!! My main issue with you is the 2 hour time slot to estimate the job. The disrespect for my time, ( assuming i have nothing as pressing as my garage doors is very insulting to me). 2 hours scheduling by you is 1/4, 25 % of my day which you assume is your time slot. I don't need a garage door. I was in business in Northern Ca. for 27 years. If I had given clients a 2 hour time slot to bid a job for them, they would have found another contractor!!!!! I called a company called, Hansens to come and check out my keypad that works garage door. They sent a person named , Jose. Jose looked at motor and keypad and told me I need a new motor and they start at $700. I explained to Jose I don't think it is a motor issue because my two hand held remotes work fine. He told me it definitely is the motor. I felt something wasn't right. I paid him his service fee and he left. I than googled and Harvey's Garage Door popped up. I called and the gentleman was so nice and told me a repair person would be at my house within 15 min.. well 15 minutes and a gentleman named Armando showed up. Very Good Service (4.5 stars) So the garage door wasn't working a few weeks and I finally called for service. They arrived early the next day and realized the problem right away. They worked on the piece, but they left to get parts, then came back, and there were other issues with the 17 year old opener. We had used Harvey's a number of times in the past and were happy with the service. Recently one of our garage doors was making a loud clanging sound. After inspecting, The Harvey technician said we needed to replace the belt on the Genie door opener and quoted me a price of $475. I called Genie and learned that the belt was only $90. When I asked Harvey's why so much and to break down that price between parts and labor he said he didn't know offhand and would call me back. He never called me. I called Garage Door Express. They quoted me a price of $90 for the belt and an $80 service call to install. As it was, the belt didn't need to be replaced and the problem was fixed with an $80 service call. read more

This company had been reliable for the past 5 years, but in 2016, when I called them for simple greasing the rails and checking the tracks, Harvey's sent a team of uncaring, poorly-trained and insensitive "mechanics" who proceeded to drip oil over my outdoor furniture cushions (which were temporarily stored in the garage) and the carpeted garage floor. Not noticing the oil (or expecting such unprofessional service), I subsequently tracked oil into the house, staining good carpet and resulting in a $275 invoice for steam-cleaning our carpets. In calling Harvey's, the owner apologized and did not cash the check I gave the service man, but that apology still hasn't assuaged my disappointment at a vendor I thought I could trust. Hopefully, the service men do not work for Harvey's anymore, but the damage has been done. I cannot in good conscience recommend the company. read more

After calling another place twice in 2.5 hours, leaving a message and not even getting a call back, I called Harveys at 1:30 pm. They answered promptly, asked if I minded being put on hold, (I didn't), then came back after 2 minutes and apologized for the long wait. I explained my garage door's wires had come off the drum and needed to be fixed. They said they could send someone later that day between 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm. At 4:30 pm , Armando showed up and quickly fixed not only the wire coming off but the other problem of the door not always opening or closing due to the wires in the transmitters being corroded. My garage door spring broke apart and I called Harveys to get a quote. Hector came out the same day, Friday, assessed the situation and provided me an estimate. I called back the next day to schedule the repair although I felt the cost was high, $400 to replace 2 springs only. (Other companies were similarly priced) Tyler was able to get me set up for Tuesday, and Armando came to remove the old springs and replace with new springs. It's nice to be able to deal with honest people. My garage door opener had been making noises for some time and it got to where I had to pull it up myself, sometimes exerting all my strength to help it along. I didn't really consider that part of my exercise routine. I called another garage door service company and they said the springs were shot and I needed a new motor/operator. I was quoted $675. What?! Am I made out of money? Finally, after months of struggling with it, someone recommended Harvey's. Said they were reasonable. OK, we made the call. To make a long story short, Armando found that there was nothing wrong with the springs. I suppose he could have said he replaced them but didn't. Some shady contractors like to pull stuff like that. And the operator was in good shape, too. The problem was the part that connects the operator arm to the door itself. It was pretty worn. He replaced that and found that one of the limit switches was flaky, so he replaced that, too. And he put some more grease in the operator arm, too. So, my door works fine now, and instead of shelling out $675, it came to only $195! Such a deal! read more

He replaced the spring in a very professional matter. A couple of day later the door need a minor adjustement so I called and once again they sent out a teck on the same day. I was having zero luck getting 4 new remotes for my clients garage that would work on both the garage door and a 40+ year old entry gate. My usual garage door vendor was no help either so I called Harvey's and spoke to Tyler about my problem. He said "that is no problem, we can do that!". Two days later, Alejandro came out and gave me a bid for the remotes. I told him the door was going up spontaneously.
