Dopo La Spiaggia is a cozy place. Located on Sag Harbor. This was my first time dinning here. Dopo stays busy. Reservations are a must. The staff attends to your dinning needs. The dishes that I had were fresh, hot and delicious! The portions were what portions should be for an entree. If you're use to large portions you will question the size of your entree. The desserts are flavorful! You will not be disappointed with Dopo La Spiaggia. If you're in the area. Stop by and GET SOME!!!!

Food was awesome. Service was impeccable. We ate outdoors, where it was quiet, clean, private and appealing.

We have been to this trendy restaurant a few times . This time I'm giving it only three stars because of their prices and a couple of dings on food and drink quality so I thought I should balance it out. While we appreciate what's going on with inflation etc, we don't mind the higher price but then the food quality and everything else has to be there too. Starters, the don't have the best specialty cocktails going. Yes they have all the standard drinks but if one wants added flavor, they don't have any. No strawberry, pomegranate, watermelon etc. So if one wants a pomegranate margarita which Patrizia likes, no luck. And drinks are $20 each. My suggestion to the management? Get some flavors and spruce up your signature drinks. Especially for a summertime restaurant surrounded by water views. She got the plain margarita and I ordered a Bloody Mary. Both were good. This time we ate inside at a cozy table for two. Patrizia was sitting to close to a wall so we moved the table a few inches then we got yelled at since it's a small place. If someone did seat next to us, I would have moved the table back and give them room but no one was there yet as we chose and early dinner 530pm. For an appetizer, we split the tonno. A spicy tuna tartare, marinated cucumbers, avocado. I believe this was $29. And not big enough to split. But it was delicious. I wanted to try their octopus but they told me they didn't have it. After, when I paid the bill, I was happy they didn't have it. :-) I had the special fettuccini home made with oxtail ragù sauce. I never had that before and though it was good and the pasta was Al dente and cooked well. Patrizia had the salmon - grilled Scottish salmon, caponata Siciliana. So here is the thing. Patrizia is Sicilian. Born there and everything and an outstanding cook. In an Italian household, eggplant is a staple and we grow our own eggplant here and Patrizia make caponata often. The bottom line is it just didn't taste good .i think she was also expecting the fish to be hot and the caponata to be cold. Both were hot. The salmone was good. And she ordered a side of crushed potatoes and she thought they were delicious. Dessert we tried the panna cotta - we never had it before but it tasted good. And I had an espresso. They did serve us bread with oil. So, one shared appetizer, 2 drinks, 2 dinners and a side. One dessert and one espresso. A bottle of mineral water. $220 tax included. Service was good. Although maybe a little on the abrupt (cocky?) side. I left him a $50 tip .i thought that was good and surprised he didn't come back to say "thank you". Maybe in the Hamptons it's expected or a standard tip. I don't know. Buon appetito! Comments are welcome and appreciated. Tonight we will be in the Hamptons at another high end restaurant. Let's see what happens. Hopefully, no rain. Ciao Sal and Patrizia

Intimate experience with you and your party. You can sit either inside or outside on their patio. The food is crafted with high quality ingredients, bursting with natural flavors. The waitstaff was knowledgeable about each dish and made helpful recommendations. However the portions were small and left more to be desired.

Hubbie and I stopped in for an appetizer and cocktails before our dinner arrangements at another restaurant in Sag Harbor. Walking up we noticed a super cute patio that was pretty busy at 4:30pm. Staff welcomed us and was very friendly. We sat in the cozy bar area on bench furniture with pillows. It was comfortable and I loved this adorable space. I also noticed the dining area was decorated nicely and had a fireplace. My husband had a vodka martini and I had a cucumber margarita which tasted very fresh and crisp. This was a first for me and I enjoyed it. We shared an appetizer called Burrata which is organic mozzarella cheese and tomatoes embellished with herbs and balsamic. Bread and oil were included. This was amazing and really hit the spot. I highly recommend this combination. We chit chatted with the bartender a little bit and had a few laughs. It would be nice to return in the future and enjoy a meal. Hopefully the annoying fly buzzing by our table would have moved on by then. Lol.

Delicious Italian food with fantastic gluten-free pasta options!…read more We ordered takeout on a Thursday evening for a large party. Food was made fast and we had no issues picking it up! We ordered the large cheese pizza, which was perfectly doughy and cheesy. We also ordered gluten-free pasta with vodka sauce. Not sure what brand they use but it was the best gluten-free pasta I've ever had! Couldn't believe it wasn't regular pasta. And the sauce was rich and savory! Highly recommend!

Buffalo wings and garlic bread was cold. Penne Ala vodka was essentially penne with marinara sauce and the chicken parm was very thick if you like that style. Service - 2/10. No dishes were ever cleared throughout the meal. You had to beg them to take dirty plates or bread baskets away. Had to reuse silverware. Soda was randomly provided in either a glass or plastic cup. The worst part is we wanted to order a side of pasta with butter. The waitress said she spoke with the owner and he said they won't do that and it will be $30. We asked how long it would and she said 2 minutes so we ordered it. After 20 minutes we told her please forget it and give us the check. She returned with the pasta in a to go dish and included it on the bill. We then asked her to speak with the owner. She came back and told us there was no owner or manager there so she couldn't remove the pasta from the bill. On the way out I saw a man who looked like a manager and he confirmed he was. Hence we were repeatedly lied to. When we got home and opened the buttered pasta we found unidentifiable red and white things in it. Obviously it was tampered with and clearly unsafe to eat. Overall this goes down as likely the worst dining experience of our lives. Poor food, unprofessional, terrible customer service, and possible food tampering in the kitchen. Please avoid!

One of the worst dining experiences I have ever had…read more My partner became ill and was unable to join me for dinner. We called the restaurant to either move our reservation to another day or cancel it, and were told that only the manager could assist us. However, we were told the manager was unavailable because he was busy speaking with regulars at a table. I asked if we could simply be placed on hold until he was available so we could find a solution. We were told no. Instead, the employee said they would "leave a note" and that someone would call us back if they were able to help. Meanwhile, we were told that if the reservation was canceled, we would be charged a $135 cancellation fee -- despite the fact that we were actively trying to work with the restaurant to either reschedule or resolve the situation. The experience became even more unacceptable when the employee eventually hung up on us and then stopped answering our calls. The restaurant only answered after American Express contacted them on our behalf. To be clear, I have no issue with a restaurant having a cancellation policy. What I have an issue with is the way this situation was handled: being told the manager was "too busy" to speak with us, being refused the simple courtesy of being placed on hold, having our calls screened, and ultimately being hung up on. That is an embarrassing level of customer service for an establishment of this caliber. I genuinely hope someone in management -- above the person working the restaurant that evening -- takes this seriously and addresses this behavior. A cancellation policy is one thing; treating a customer with this level of disrespect is another.

Our party was given what I considered to be an inappropriate table given our party size. A four top behind my father had been split into two tables, leaving my father with minimal room to adjust his seat without bumping into the closest table - the dinner was quite uncomfortable for him. We expressed multiple times that the lighting at our table had issues as the bulb kept flickering and staff struggled to adjust the lights repeatedly - the dining room was between bright and dim most of night. Our server was friendly, but did not offer the service we have come to expect from Nick & Toni's - we had to keep asking for water, the table was left dirty at times, etc. We were visiting to celebrate my mother's 70th birthday. She loved Nick & Toni's when she and I visited in the past and this was communicated when the reservation was made. I called to make a reservation as soon as the books opened, at 2PM one month prior, and do not understand why the table our party was sat at was so subpar whilst we passed various other empty tables at the same time as our reservation. In terms of the food quality, we felt that the entrees were hit or miss. The rosemary focaccia was wonderful, as was the Ribeye. The eggplant entree was overcooked/burnt and lacked flavor - this dish might need revision.
