Delicious Italian food with fantastic gluten-free pasta options! We ordered takeout on a Thursday evening for a large party. Food was made fast and we had no issues picking it up! We ordered the large cheese pizza, which was perfectly doughy and cheesy. We also ordered gluten-free pasta with vodka sauce. Not sure what brand they use but it was the best gluten-free pasta I've ever had! Couldn't believe it wasn't regular pasta. And the sauce was rich and savory! Highly recommend! read more

Although I never write reviews I feel compelled to do so to warn others about such a terrible experience. Food was mediocre. Most local NY pizzerias have better dishes. Buffalo wings and garlic bread was cold. Penne Ala vodka was essentially penne with marinara sauce and the chicken parm was very thick if you like that style. Service - 2/10. No dishes were ever cleared throughout the meal. You had to beg them to take dirty plates or bread baskets away. Had to reuse silverware. Soda was randomly provided in either a glass or plastic cup. The worst part is we wanted to order a side of pasta with butter. The waitress said she spoke with the owner and he said they won't do that and it will be $30. We asked how long it would and she said 2 minutes so we ordered it. After 20 minutes we told her please forget it and give us the check. She returned with the pasta in a to go dish and included it on the bill. We then asked her to speak with the owner. She came back and told us there was no owner or manager there so she couldn't remove the pasta from the bill. On the way out I saw a man who looked like a manager and he confirmed he was. Hence we were repeatedly lied to. When we got home and opened the buttered pasta we found unidentifiable red and white things in it. Obviously it was tampered with and clearly unsafe to eat. Overall this goes down as likely the worst dining experience of our lives. Poor food, unprofessional, terrible customer service, and possible food tampering in the kitchen. Please avoid! read more

Great dining experience the first time I went to Cappilletti's after a hike at Elizabeth A. Morton Preserve. The food was delicious and I would 100% come back. I would not suggest a large group though. I was hoping to have my large party have a late lunch there but they couldn't accomodate us without charging us an additional $100 for the additional wait staff. Naturally we were disappointed. When struggling to find a spot to eat the idea cappelletis was thrown in the mix and that's what we decided on. I felt excited because the restaurant was fuming with such tasty a succulent dishes. With such a large overwhelming menu I got my usual, a custom sandwich with an Italian delicacy. Apple Pay approved and all I had to do was wait. Office ordered catering for pick-up (no delivery at all). We got a variety of sandwiches and some full size pasta sides and mozz/tomato platter. First time we had this the sandwiches were great! We decided to order more which this time they weren't as pleasant. The sandwiches lacked meat, chicken was overcooked/dry. Pasta was delicious! Unfortunately, staff member was not friendly at all in person or over the phone. For the amount spent, you'd expect the quality of sandwiches and service to be much better. Food is very good and we always make the trip after Elizabeth Morton refuge. However the woman behind the counter is rude and always seems agitated when you ask to dine in and ask her anything for that matter and we usually go when it's not so busy. We asked if we can sit and she was annoyed that she had to clean a table. Mind you we were the only people there. This was not the first time we experienced her rudeness we have been to this restaurant many times and she has never been pleasant. This time we walked out and won't be back. read more

I have officially made Cappelletti's a regular in my takeout routine. I can only speak for the focaccia sandwiches, as those are the only menu items I have tried, but I love them so much that I can't imagine ordering anything else. For between $12-15, you get a massive, delicious sandwich that can easily feed 2 people. I like to eat half for dinner and reheat the other half the next night (they reheat excellently in the oven). That's around $7 for two meals which, especially for Hamptons prices, is exceptional. My favorite is the veggie melt! Simple, but delicious. The real star is the house dressing. I could actually drink it straight out of the container. It complements every sandwich perfectly! Make sure to grab extra, you won't regret it. read more

Delicious! We like to explore the east end in the off season. Plentiful hiking and no crowds. We popped in right before a traditional dinner time and were treated like we were regulars. Started off with pillowy garlic knots that were extra garlicky. Our meals were top notch: huge portions of salmon that were perfectly cooked. Our son had spaghetti topped with huge meatballs. As I walked around to the front, the scent was amazing. Quant interior, soft lights, Frank Sinatra playing overhead. Sat at a table rather than the wine bar, for dinner. Just a word... if interested in ordering pizza for dinner, you'll have to order and eat at the bar. We ordered a special, Meatball Bolognese and from the menu a Chicken Parm dinner. Their food is always great, I've loved their focaccia sandwiches ever since they started espresso on Murray hill, but I was REALLY annoyed when we ordered a pizza with toppings split on half sides of the pie, and Luigi charged us for TWO separate pizzas with said toppings. I complained about being overcharged and his excuse was "I had to make the ingredients for both sides, so I had to charge you for two pizzas" I said, then why didn't you give me TWO god damn pizzas? read more

I have been here twice in the last week the sandwiches are THAT good. The bread the sandwiches are made on is the star of the show (in my opinion) while others LOVE their house made dressing! This would have been a 5 star review on my first visit. Loved the food so much I came back a second time during my week here. However, during my second visit I got a sauce substitution on my entree. Menu does note there can be an additional charge on the substitution, however was not informed the additional charge was $10, which is incredibly excessive and nothing I have seen before. This was never mentioned and was a very unpleasant surprise on the bill. Manager would not make good on this miscommunication, which is just absolutely poor customer service, and is the bigger issue than the incremental charge. Food was great, but I would think twice about going here again (and never make a substitution on an order). read more

First of all they make my favorite sandwiches ever! Homemade focaccia and their house dressing are both delicious. Recently we grabbed some beers, apps, and desserts at the bar. Beer was super cold. Garlic knots were great. Jalapeño poppers were good and a lot came in an order. Tried both bbq and teriyaki wings flavors were very good I typically like crispier wings (and had ordered them that way but they weren't) they were big and meaty but still good. For some reason, it's easy to dismiss this restaurant sitting on the corner of a small building. Had dinner there and enjoyed the food and the staff. We started with the Bolognese meatballs. It's predictable that meat sauce on meatballs with cheese would be delicious, and it was. Also had tomatoes, basil, and mozzarella salad, also nice with large fresh basil leaves. I had the salmon on roasted veggies, salmon done perfectly, and a nice mix of veggies. My wife had the sea bass limone, yummy sauce plenty of capers.
