This place is a gem! If you are fan of asian flavors, this place is definitely for you! They do NOT have your typical vanilla, chocolate type stuff, it's all going to be asian inspired! This is truly one of a kind and needed in SA. They relocated to the SA Yacht Club (shared with other food trucks in a shared area), so it's been a while since my last visit from the St. Mary's location - parking can be tricky but was able to find one to pull up and grab some pints to go! The owner Mike, he's always been really nice, no complaints! Mango Sticky Rice: wow, SO good and you get actual sweet rice flavors and the mango combinations in each bite! AMAZING! Cherry Blossum Lychee: Light flavors but you taste the lychee after, really tasty!! Both flavors were not overly sweet, JUST enough sweetness. Do yourself a favor and give them a shot, there's nothing like this in SA! Especially if you are craving something different than your basic vanilla and chocolate!

Love the unique options they offer and I am not a huge matcha fan, I like it but don't go out of my way to get it. Their matcha strawberry was so creamy and tasty that I ate it in about 7 minutes! Loved it so much that I would actually pay to have it! But let me tell you this, their mango sticky rice is #1 in my book and Lychee strawberry is my next favorite. I bought pints and the prices are on point especially for a "crafted" type ice cream. Love it.

We got the bouquet which includes all 5 flavors + their weekly flavor. The flavors include mango sticky rice, green Thai tea Oreo, ube, matcha, black sesame, and viet coffee. My favorite flavors were the green Thai tea and Viet coffee ones. I think this was a little too creamy, as the ice cream melted pretty fast but overall pretty solid

Love the unique flavors here and the customer service was great. The bouquets are such a cool idea too. There might be a line but they get through it quick. As far as I saw it was street parking but we were able to pull up right in front. There were plenty of spaces. There is also another food trucks and some tables right next door so you can eat there if you'd like. I got the strawberry matcha and my wife got the Vietnamese coffee ice cream. Both were delicious. We'll be back to try the different flavors, they all sounded good.

Dorp moved to the Yacht club area at the Pearl and is open most days 1-8PM. What is unique about Dorp are the Asian inspired flavors: strawberry lychee, Thai tea Oreo, and mango sticky rice. You can order in a cup, cone, or a flight of 6 favors for $25. They also pack pints to go, or you can find them at the Pullman Market. The ice cream is so fresh and creamy. The perfect treat in the heat .

Cute little food truck with unique ice cream flavors. They were a little reserved but didn't provide bad service. I had the Matcha and Lychee Strawberry and they were soo good! Rich in flavor.

I love Asian ice cream flavors, so as soon as I found this place when planning our visit to San Antonio, I knew I needed to try it. My husband and I shared: - Lychee Strawberry - Ube - Black Sesame - Pandan I love that they do flights so that you can try more flavors. The Lychee Strawberry was my favorite closely followed by Pandan. You really can't go wrong though, they're all fantastic!

Tried strawberry lychee, pandan, and black sesame! The order I listed it is the order I'm rating it! The best flavor was the strawberry lychee! You can taste both components. It was refreshing on a hot summer day! Pandan and black sesame are a lot more creamy/ milky. I am a huge black sesame fan and normally would gravitate towards black sesame flavored desserts but I think the pandan was better. The black sesame is very milk forward. To me, it tasted like I was eating solidified condensed milk topped with black sesame seeds. Hopefully this flavor gets improved! Also beware, this ice cream melts extremely fast. So if it's summer, you gotta eat it fast! It was dripping so fast after I got it. If you're craving asian ice cream flavors, give this place a try to support local businesses!

I been meaning to try this place and so happy I have! They have a location off De Zavala closer to UTSA but looks like they have the truck off St. Mary's which is where I went, very small lot so hang in your car and have your treat! I got a matcha and ube scoop. The match a wasn't too sweet so if you want a treat but not too strong, this is a good choice. But my absolute favorite with the ube. It was my first time trying it and it was sweet, rich, and very creamy. As someone who prefers custard, this business along another is my fave ice cream. I can't wait to try the others! Edit: De Zavala no longer exists, they are only located St. Mary's!

Ice cream was soo good and the waffle cone I could have eaten it by myself. The portions are quite big tho! So recommend sharing unless you think you could finish 2 huge portions

So good!!! Definitely my favorite new matcha ice cream in town. The matcha was light and super rich/creamy. Excited to try their other flavors next time. They have pints available at Pullman Market too. There wasn't much parking in the lot where the food truck was but luckily it wasn't busy when we went. The owner was very nice

They ran out of matcha by the time we got there. But otherwise, they had the other 5 flavors :) !

Dorp Creamery is a mobile ice cream truck business nestled in the quaint and humble parking lot of a Nama Ramen restaurant, with truly amazing and delicious Asian-inspired ice cream treats :D ! It was actually our second time trying this, since we had first tried this at the "Merry Texmas" Yelp Elite event this past December :) ! We came for my complimentary one scoop of ice cream as a Yelp Elite member, but also to purchase an ice cream cone for my sister and support this business :) ! Since my sister decided to get a 2-scoop waffle cone, I decided to get the same and pay extra for my additional scoop and waffle cone because I figured at that point that I might as well get a 2-scoop waffle cone instead :) ! I'm really glad I did :D ! I got an ube scoop and a pan Dan scoop, whereas my sister got the lychee strawberry and pandan :) We just wish it wasn't so windy because we had to hurry back to sit inside our cars and eat our ice cream! It was also hot outside, and our ice cream started melting fast! Overall, we would definitely support Dorp Creamery :D ! The ice cream is very fresh and rich, and absolutely delicious :D ! The customer service is excellent :) ! Despite the challenges of the extremely windy day, the Dorp employee was very courteous and friendly, and served us very attentively and very well :) ! It makes the most sense that they would serve their ice cream as a mobile truck, which makes it extremely feasible and practical for them to provide catering services for parties and gatherings, in addition to serving customers at many locations :) !

I don't post a lot of ice cream reviews or dessert shops but I couldn't help myself. This place deserved all the raves that I've seen from other posts! The truck is easy to spot from the street. There is a boba place and sushi restaurant in the little strip mall where Dorp Creamery is parked. You're greeted with a warm smile and every flavor is explained so that you can make the right choice or choices (I had to pick two). The truck is very clean inside and orderly which is a bonus for me! I brought my mom along for the experience and it wasn't a disappointment for either of us! My mom got the double scoop of lychee strawberry and pandan, which is comparable to vanilla. I got the double scoop of Ube and black sesame. I still can't believe how wonderful it was. To start, it's visually pleasing because the smoothness of the texture. The weight of the ice cream wasn't dense and with the red cone, the color contrast to the scoops got us excited to try it. The cone had a taste similar to Frosted Flakes and it smelled like a fresh baked donut. The taste was rich, smooth, creamy and delicious. It's not overly sweet and we didn't have any after tastes. The ice cream is so velvety and each flavor paired well with the other. You really can't go wrong with any flavor. There is also a flight of flavors called the bouquet that I plan on trying my next visit! It was absolutely a great start to our evening and the line of customers was steady. People sat around outside on the curb or in their cars to eat it like we did. If they sold the flavors in pints, I would have taken a few home with me!

My wife and I use to frequent this place YEARS ago, the service was good and the food was good,…read moreyears later we decided to go back & mannn the food quality & service has went down terribly! Pulled up on a Friday late night with my family ordered the standard 5 tacos. They are a bit pricey as well. I ordered the carne Asada and my mother in law ordered the chicken. While it did seem like it tasted good it was super greasy. (TMI coming up) When I woke up the next morning my I noticed my bowels were literally moving the next day, (I counted about 9 times). I felt bloated and everything. My wife even told me that as we were pulling off she witnessed the cook I believe his name is Julio eating some of the product while he was preparing peoples food (the side door of the food truck was open so you could see right in). Funny enough we decided to go back Saturday evening to give them another try, thinking it would be better, BOY was we wrong. I ordered the same order plus charro Beans, elote (corn in a cup) and 3 cans of sprite. This time we took literally one bite and the meat was DRYER than the Saharan desert both the carne asada and the chicken. (Tasted like some reheated old meat or meat that had been made days prior). We were already at the hotel at this point and was infuriated!!! We ended up calling and I believe I spoke to Julio (or whoever the cook is) over the phone. After lying saying that he cooked the meat fresh that day he stuttered I told him aint no way the meat was fresh. He then said and I quote " I cooked the meat "a couple days ago" then said "sorry I burnt it or overcooked it". (Knowing that why would you serve that to me?) I then stated "yes it tasted old period". I requested a refund in which he agreed to. Driving all the way back I brought the food back as well. Julio (or whoever the cooks name is) tried to plead his case to me saying that the meat is fresh and took a fork and tasted the food himself and then tried to offer me the food. I told him "no I don't want to taste it, just refund me please" in which he did. Dishonesty, Not handling food with care, lying. Is something that crosses the line and I won't be back. *Also if the owner is reading this I have the phone conversation recorded and the video evidence to show proof this whole interaction, so do not just glaze over this review* I don't like writing bad reviews, but this one is for sure warranted. Seems like they will dress up the taco and selling you some "old meat" people just be careful and mindful when coming to this taco truck. "The Earths Best Taco" they say... that's a stretch!

Once we got to this place, there are around, 8 food truck, two Birria trucks, one Mexican food truck, a Brazilian food truck, hot chicken food truck. And a snow cone place. We got the Dino wrex plate, one beef Dino rib, a full rack of pork ribs, there was Mac and cheese inside the rolled up rack of ribs. The meat sat on a layer of French fries. This plate fed five of us, still had some left overs. The only thing I didn't enjoy was that we had to cut the string off the rack of ribs, and that we had to pull the ribs apart. Probably be nice if they cut the rack just a bit. We also got a plate from the Brazilian restaurant, but we just picked at it, cause we were full from the ribs. The bacon wrapped chicken was delicious, the sausage was good the steak, was ok, the could have used a better cut of meat. The place is really cool, kid friendly with a playscape. Enclosed area, so the kids stay in the area. Also a full bar, I had a couple of beers. And the best wasn't the Brazilian lemonade.
