Local Bandera Gem!!! My family and I came here on a Tuesday night around 7:30 pm. We parked in their small parking which is shared with other businesses but there were plenty of spot open. Walking inside the music is loud but plays good hip-hop/pop gems, probably to satisfy its younger clientele. Ice Ice baby serves mainly savory/spicy/sweet Mexican-inspired treats using natural fruit, Lucas, Tajín, chamoy, and other gummy/spicy toppings to enhance any treat for a customers personal preference. Their wall behind the creation station features images and names of their products offered which makes it very helpful for any customers unfamiliar with these types of treats. The two young ladies working were both friendly, efficient, and great multi taskers. They explained options very well, and very considerate when helping my older family make their choices of sweets. We decided to try both sweet and savory treats to share amongst my family so we got to try as much as we could. The corn in a cup was by far my favorite choice as I ordered it spicy with Taki-dust and had lots of other chili pepper spice and good creamy mayo for a delicious taste and amazing texture. Yum!! The Italian ice was very smooth with great fruit flavor that was not an overpowering sweetness. The pineapple treat (piñanada) was also a very fresh/sweet/spicy choice with lots of sliced pineapple, good amounts of Lucas and chamoy drizzled across the top, we added some spicy fruit bands for more chewy texture. The price after tax and tip were not too bad, I think the presentation, serving amounts, and fresh ingredients were all very much worth the value. The service was very good, and the spot was well maintained. My family all loved the food and said they'd want to come back again. Great spot for a sweet/spicy fruit tooth!
Ice Ice Baby has any type of treat sweet or sour or both combined if you'd like. We like to go for fruit cups mixed white chamoy and Lucas seasoning. We also like their hot snacks like corn in a cup, hot Cheetos with melted gooey cheese and their nachos. Service is excellent, all the employees are attentive, fast and friendly. Be prepared to wait in line and hopefully you can get a table to enjoy your snacks inside or we silly take them home since we're not too far. They have bench seats with picnic tables inside.
We got the mangonada with the pickle wrapped in fruit loops and the brownie sundae. Both were extremely good and one thing we noticed was that there were no messes and the environment was extremely clean. Staff was attentive and the owner which seemed like she was training new staff members was extremely kind to them. Props to the owner and the trainees! Keep up the good work!
Long line but it went by quick, asked for a "customized" Dilly Bear for my wife, she said it tasted so good, loved it. Super chill place, we will be back soon.

Tbh I don't know how more people don't know about ice ice baby and their snack stand... it's by far the best place to get Snacks (specifically Tex-Mex snacks) in San Antonio. No one puts together mangonadas, sandianadas, sweet Sandias, and fresas con crema like them. They take so much time and pride when working with your order. So picture perfect and presentable. They also put small half paper plates around the side of your desserts if they have chucks of fruits etc., that way everything stays intact. I hate when my Chamoy or Italian ice starts dripping down and causes a big mess (common problem with preparations of other snack stands) the plates ensures everything is sturdy and in place. The owner is SO awesome, she was patient and helped me weed out what I wanted when everything sounds good lol. Ice Ice Baby also has mini versions of any "sweet" or "nada" dessert which is highly uncommon and makes me visit their location over any other snack stands hand down. Normally I don't want anything big, just something small for my craving and the minis are perfect! The last time I went in they had on The Incredibles and I sat down to watch along with a few other guests (all adults actually lol). So yea, if you haven't visited them, please go and support their small business. They're the best!
Don't overlook this unassuming spot within a strip mall. Ice Ice Baby is a must stop for tasty, refreshing treats, during these hot San Antonio summers. I stopped in with a friend upon her recommendation. I normally order Mangonadas but today I was wanting to switch it up. I opted, instead, for a Sweet Fresanada. It is layers of strawberry ice (I wouldn't say ice cream because it's more like a fresh-fruit sherbet consistency) alternating with cream & whipped cream, topped with fresh strawberries. Delicious! I also selected a large cucumber lime Agua Fresca. I was surprised to see that they make them fresh upon order. It was SO good and definitely refreshing. They have many flavors or agua frescas, so they're sure to have something you might fancy. My friend was feeling something a little less sweet, so she opted for a Mangonada & added chopped dill pickles on-top. She called this concoction a Mangodilly. They have a Pickledilly on the menu but it involves pickle ice instead of scoops of mango ice. She said it was very good and that the slices of mango on top were very tender and sweet. They had a pretty good selection of different options and even have blue bell ice cream. There are definitely some other choices I would like to go back and try. There are also a few hot food options, such as, spicy Cheetos with nacho cheese & nachos, if you're not in an ice cream mode. The prices are fair & you can select from tiny to large, depending on how big of a portion you would like. Definitely worth a try. I will, for sure, be back!

April 2020 Review We were able to get out of the house for a bit and were in the mood for a little Fiesta themed snack. We had heard good things about Ice Ice Baby and decided to give it a try. They did have a bit of a line when we arrived (mostly outside since only a few were allowed inside at a time) but it moved quickly. I ordered a fresanada with spicy straps and my wife got a mangonada with the spicy straps as well. Both of our choices were delicious! Perfect day for this treat! So glad that we were able to get out and support a local business!
Go here! So many flavors, and inexpensive! It's a cute, clean, small shop with many options. I've been to places where they sell you a fancy $15 milkshake chock full of sugar and cavities that weren't as good as the sundaes at this location, which are almost half the price. Your fancy shake will look great on Insta, but I buy food for my face not for the Gram. A friend ordered the pickles and hot Cheetos for a super sour and spicy treat, I split a Sugar Monster with my boyfriend. It was three scoops of ice cream topped with strawberries, marshmallows, chocolate syrup, sandwich cookies, and a small powdered donut. It's served in a plastic cup and some paper plates inside the top to get more room. Not Instagram worthy, but so delicious. The big dessert was under $10. We both were full by the end. Highly recommended.

Love the name! Can you hear Vanilla Ice singing "Ice Ice Baby" in your head? Yes! This No.1 Billboard Hot 100 hit was quite popular in 1990. I truly felt like a kid in a candy store. Said differently, I felt like a kid in a shaved ice store. Ice Ice Baby serves desserts with bold, fresh and sweet and spicy flavors. This San Antonio go-to shop is known for its shaved ice and Mexican inspired treats that are packed with fresh fruit, chamoy, chili powder, Tajín, and candy toppings, all made to order and can be customized to your liking. They have many colorful pictures of dessert options, you can feel a bit overwhelmed. The menu offers a dessert options such as classic raspas (Mexican style shaved ice) and Italian ice to popular items like mangonadas (mango based slushy or shaved ice dessert), fruit cups, and corn in a cup. The shaved ice was smooth and refreshing, with vibrant fruit flavors that taste extremely fresh. Whether you go all fruit, candy loaded, or extra spicy, the portions are generous and are well worth the price. I chose the Mango Bear with Italian ice. The mangos were fresh and sweet. Also, the Italian ice was so smooth it felt like eating sorbet. Great first-time experience... Inside, the shop is clean, colorful, and welcoming...a perfect place to cool off from the Texas heat. Bright yellow picnic tables line the inside of the shop. The vibe was casual and family-oriented. The servers made you feel like you were the only one in the shop even though folks waited in line behind you. Perfect stop for a perfect treat. Loved this place. They have an awesome variety of treats and sweets ranging from simple snacks to complex desserts. They use fresh fruit and make everything look and taste so good. They even offer creative combinations of sweets which look so good it makes it hard to choose. Overall the staff was very kind and quick. The inside was very cute and clean. Totally a must try. They deserve the reputation. read more

Upon entering you notice a few things. Music is bumping, the colors are bright, their menu is extensive, plus the counter is ran by nothing but women. They are grinding! Everyone is active and doing something productive. It was fun to watch everyone do their thing and make elaborate Mexican snacks. Growing up in Monterrey, Mexico we used to go to a chamoyada place. It was simple and tasty highlighting sweet, tangy, and spicy flavor profiles. Living in SA for the past 10 years, I've had a difficult time finding a place that induces the feelings of nostalgia. This place did that, it was an exact match of the chamoyada I had in Monterrey growing up! Definitely at the top of the list for Mexican snacks in town! My family and I came here for a nice break during covid. The staff were friendly and it was a welcoming environment. Its a cute little ice cream/italian ice shop with a variety of toppings. I got the Creamy Colada and hubby got the mangonada. Fruit was refreshing and yummy. Its not overly sweet but just right. Loved that the mangonada was showered in chamoy. My kids got cotton candy ice cream and sprinkles and loved it. read more
My little corner of northwest side San Antonio is growing! I'm very excited to have an ice cream shop walking distance from my home. I'm not sure how long they have been open, but I just noticed it a couple of weeks ago. I came in with my dad and his friend tonight to try it out. We were greeted very nicely and were helped right away. The shop seemed to have a pretty steady flow of people cycling through--a good sign! They have a lot of choices for ice cream and other treats. I ordered a cone with cookies and cream ice cream. It was served in a purple cone (very cute by the way). Here's my one suggestion: I'd like to see a menu that is easier to read. As it stands now, the menu is a little difficult to comprehend because instead of listing the product and stating the price, it has a picture of the product and the price next to it. It seems typical of every other place in the area, so I'd like to see more innovation in terms of products, but they're still new and there is room to grow! I'm excited to come here more often and order more things. I really need to judge the place on their raspas because Sam's Snack Stand is my favorite right now, so I'll have to see how they stack up. I ventured over to try this amazing frozen treat boutique....I was excited because I have seen the pics on social media so it has been on my list of places to try for a while now.....I have to commend them on the cleanliness, the great job on social distancing, the masks, the changing of gloves for every order, the friendliness and the extraordinary choices in treats. Every item we ordered was bursting with flavor! The attention to detail is absolutely worth acknowdging and truly deserves a round of applause, from the candy sharks to the sour belts, from the umbrellas & chamoy to the cookies and pickles....every thing has a level of detail that you just dont see every day. I was especially pleased with the coconut ice cream, the taste was a subtle hint of coconut with a slight dash of a creamy whipped taste....OUTSTANDING!!! Snow cones, Italian ice, candy, cookies, cones, ice cream, snacks....it is truly an experience!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SWEET TREAT BOUTIQUE....YOU WILL KEEP GOING BACK FOR MORE!!! read more

There were so many good looking choices I struggled to figure out what I wanted to try. I settled for the pinanada and it did not disappoint. The staff working there were very friendly. It was an overall great experience. I recommend you check this place out! read more

Came here this week to check out the hype I seen by searching instagram. I will say, it's a cute lil spot and has friendly, energetic employees, and a Clean environment which is always good. But, let's face it. We aren't here to just read about how clean a place is. Or how friendly employees can be. We want to know about the goods, the prices, and if it really lived up to its hype. In my opinion this place just didn't. Which was a bummer. It was around $40 for ice cream, a fruit mangonada and corn in a cup. For me it was just OK, definitely not worth my drive out there, or the amount we paid. I don't feel like it had enough flavor, and that is hard to believe, because it is fruit with Chamoy and Tajin. The mangoes were a bit off tasting to me. But the rest of the fruit was fine. I feel it needed more maybe of both chamoy and tajin? I don't know. I mean it looked really good, and I really wanted to like it! But it just wasn't what I expected. Italian ice was pretty good though. You get a couple of scoops of that along with the fruit. All in all... 1) Would I go to this place again? No. 2) Would I recommend this place to someone I know? No. I have had better. At a better cost. And closer to me. I'll stick with that instead. We didn't try the flaming hot nachos with the corn, but I honestly wouldn't go back just to try that. read more
