Hello, few weeks ago I went to Dos Amigos in Concord NH. My son wanted me to try the food at this restaurant. When we got there, there were only tow booths occupied. We ordered out food, A beef burrito and chesses quesadilla for my grand kids. After 30 minutes we asked what happened with our order, and they replied, we are busy. I have to say that the place got full like in 20 25 minutes after we got there. But it was not until I asked again for our order that they said that is coming right up. After 45 minutes later they brought our food, cold as it can be, both the burrito and the quesadilla. The burrito, the rice was not cooked, very hard. The worse of all, I gave them tip when I placed the order. They lost 4 customer that day. read more

After a week of eating seafood we were missing home (Tucson) and decided to try some Mexican here in NH. First off, they were not that busy and it still took 30 minutes to bring us 4 tacos and a burrito....way slower than what we are used to for Mexican food. I had the steak burrito. The burrito to rice/bean/lettuce/pico ratio was quite small. What steak was in there was kind of bland. To be honest the beans and rice were quite bland too. Spiciness can vary from night to night, ranging from incendiary to just right. They should work to keep spiciness consistent. Burrito Monday is great. Yum! Great nachos. Tasty quesadillas done in many different ways and hey options of wheat or white wraps, nice! It looks like your eating off hubcaps which is funky but fits the offbeat atmosphere. Everyone that's apart of the Dos Amigos is amongst some of the friendliest people i've ever met. Service is fast and i've never once been let down by an order. ok, tried it again, the food is great, we decided to sit at the bar today, your bar tender, or so called bartender, is very rude!!!!! at one point the music he was playing was very loud and we could barley hear ourselves speak a lady came out from the kitchen to ask him to turn the music down, and he snapped at her, and made a snide remark about her after she went back to the kitchen, maybe you should hire a bartender (haha) with a better attitude. read more

Wanted to like this place since the interior design and menu graphics are cool and the staff are super friendly. However, the chicken burrito I had this evening gave me food poisoning. First time in about ten years I've gotten sick from a meal and hot happy about it. On top of it, the burrito was insanely salty and had no detectable traces of cheese or sour cream in it. Just a plopped mass of wet dark shredded chicken, raw onions, a teeny bit of rice, and a couple black beans. Not cool! Zero amigos!! read more

Impressed, but not surprised by Dos Amigos. I've been maybe 6 times in the past year to Dos and every time I've enjoyed a great meal that is quickly prepared. The staff is always friendly and easy-going and we look forward to going to Dos whenever in the Concord Area. Melt in the mouth food! We had roasted red pepper quesadillas with their carrot habanero sauce and they were finger licking good!! Spinach Tofu burrito was ok. Unique side dish - charred jalapeños with cream cheese over Mexican rice. Loved this!! Definitely worth a try when you are tired and hungry on the very happening Main St in Concord!! read more

This place has been my go to spot over the years for burritos and over the last two years not only has the service completely slowed down and they always seem to not care that their lines and wait times are 30 minutes for a single burrito. I don't know if it was change of owners or what but it's stupid to always wait almost an hour just for some burritos. read more

Stopped here with the family for a quick dinner. The food was great - my wife had a chicken bowl with guacamole and she was a big fan and I had three tacos: the pulled pork, beef and chicken. Each were delicious. They're good about making the food for you on the healthier side if you want that too with yogurt instead of sour cream and whole wheat instead of flour. They also have four awesome hot sauces that are made in house and that I think rotate regularly (when I was there there were 2 very spicy, one ghost pepper-based and one habanero-based and the other 2 were mild, one traditional and one chipotle-based). The kids menu was also very well done; my kids both had a burrito and really liked it. Oh, and there's a bar serving awesome beers including some very good local brews. It really doesn't look like much until you walk in... but when you walk in it is a whole different story. The way they made it feel so American, yet so Mexican was amazing, they incorporate Concord into it as well, and it feels like art in a way. The food here is also amazing, looks and tastes fresh, tons of drink options, and plenty of food options that you can customize too. I personally go with the steak burrito, it is so good! read more

I was in downtown whining to myself "why can't Concord have a Chipotle?" When I look across the street and see Dos Amigo's.... I was very pleased with my burrito choice. No it wasn't Chipotle, but it was delicious just the same. I saw the menu and was a little confused where to order when a I heard a very welcoming "hi" - I continued reading and saw some fun looking items on it like sweet potato and tofu. I'm strictly a pork kind of girl when it comes to burritos and I wanted to be able to at least compare it to what I know (Chipotle & Bolocco) - I ordered a Carnitas and was asked, whole wheat or flour (which I giggle at, because technically - it's the same, but whatever) Whole Wheat; yogurt or sour cream, Sour Cream; what temperature salsa., medium with a hint of hot. Everything else was prearranged and I was 'ok' with that. While waiting I read the local postings and realized they had margaritas... Maybe Next Time. A few minutes later my burrito appeared on the counter. I picked up my little log of tin foil and thought... Wow this little log is dense... The drive home was painful, I almost broke into it. But managed to wait. I actually think this played out to my advantage as my burrito ingredients had time to meet each other and hang out for a bit. My first bite proved surprising. It popped. Like it had been sealed and then.... It was amazing. It had rice, beans, lettuce, salsa, pork (duh), sour cream and really good cheese. Like really good, hearty tasting cheese. (At Chipotle, I rarely get the sour cream or cheese bc it doesn't taste like anything to me) The meat was.... surprisingly amazing. It had a bbq kick to it that I wasn't expecting but man... it was good. I tried a chicken burrito (7.85$ after tax). It was average. There wasn't a lot of meat in it, mostly rice and beans. It was well wrapped at least, so it stayed together nicely while eaten. There wasn't a lot of flavor in any element of the burrito. They have specialty sauces, but having to pour them onto the burrito for each bite was irritating and the sauces were not good enough to make up for that. None of the sauces were particularly spicy, but they were pretty tasty -- if only I could say the same about the burrito itself. read more

Unexpectedly excellent little burrito joint in downtown Concord, NH; my only complaint (and hence, the four stars instead of five) is that they've discontinued their breakfast offerings. I loved being able to go in there and get an egg burrito loaded with tomato and avocado and cheese and all that other good breakfasty stuff loaded down with hot sauce. I'm thoroughly impressed by the sheer number of vegetarian offerings on the menu and I have never had a bad meal there. They've got a decent beer selection and there's usually a bunch of kids' artwork on the walls reflecting the seasonal colouring contest. Alright. This place is kind of awesome. 4 stars because its a cross between Mexican and super healthy. I felt like the seasoning on the meat could have had more flavor (read: salt and fat). The food is very clean, using whole black beans, whole grains, and non gmo/grass fed meats. I was surprised at the choices. Tofu? Roasted red pepper? Habanero sauce?? The heat scale goes from mild-med-hot-hotter-hottest. I've eaten the hottest (Called Triple X) and it was... hot. =) Edible, and no stomachache after, but if you're not used to real spice, you may want to stick with the habanero sauce (hotter) which has a great flavor and is more tolerable. If your looking for a good, filling lunch in downtown Concord (or dinner, although it's a lunch place for me!) there's nothing better than Dos Amigos. The pulled pork burritos is my standard, although some may actually find it TOO big for lunch - if so, go with the tacos instead; one is more than enough for a small lunch. Folks behind the counter are always friendly and the music they play is always upbeat and creates a positive atmosphere. I've never heard a negative word or felt a negative vibe in the place, which is really great. If you're going for lunch, be ready for a 10-15 wait from order to getting your food. They hand craft these so it takes longer, but it's worth it. I try to go in at 11:45 or after 1 to beat the rush. read more

This looks like a hole in the wall dive restaurant. But looks are deceiving, this is a great restaurant they are much better than chipotle! The food is fresh and very tasty my favorite is the jalapeño poppers which are made with grilled jalapeños and filled with cream cheese and is served with yellow rice! The road from Boston to Northern Vermont is one not necessarily rich in yummy eateries...Dos Amigos being an exception! They offer your usual American/Mexican burritos, quesadillas, tacos (including fish!), but with creative twists and ingredients sure to make the vegetarian in your crew laugh maniacally (e.g., tofu). Yes, you may have a beer with your nachos. Live free or die. My FAVORITE flavor at Dos Amigos is the carrot habañero salsa. It has oodles of spot-hitting carrot flavor, while packing a punch. Have those tissues ready, as your sinuses WILL take the opportunity to celebrate. read more

maybe a texan has no business looking for tacos in new hampshire. and yeah i get that this is a burrito shop but c'mon. i ordered a chicken taco and a steak taco and what i got looked like 2 half-wraps. they were silly and bland. at least they have sauces by the coke fountain to doctor them up a bit. i just don't understand how they could pass these off as tacos. pretty weak for $3.50 apiece. i believe i'll come again and try a burrito but only if i can't find another place that can make some proper tacos. oh yeah, and the dude working the register repeated my order back to me incorrectly because he was too busy singing along with the radio while i was giving my "not complicated at all" order. lame. read more

I've tried the burritos here a few times now. Of course, they are light years ahead of Taco Bell; but, that not be a real compliment. In this instance, the compliment is genuine. Dos Amigos has an interesting variety of burritos and other Mexican take-out selections. The burritos arrive tightly bundled in short fat packages. The insides are tasty and I appreicated the opportunity to select yogurt in place of sour cream. The beans are cooked properly and when I asked for fresh jalepenos to be included there was an ample amount. I also like the fact that they use black beans, which in my opinion, have more flavor and texture than pintos. The rice...here is where they falter. They have no idea on how to properly prepare and season Mexican rice. Their version is slightly undercooked and more ghastly, it's flavorless. Proper Mexican rice should be fried in tomato sauce, and then simmered in a flavored stock with herbs. Rice is inexpensive and so are the other ingredients. There is no reason whatsoever why the rice should be so bland. It's a shame because the burritos really are good. I also ordered a stuffed jalapeno. They are fire-roasted and then stuffed with cream cheese. This is a more healthful version of what's served in the chains: breaded, fried, and then overstuffed with cheese. The only problem here, again, is that the jalapenos are served atop the dreaded flavorless rice. Definitely worth a visit and I'll return again for a third time. I hope they are reading these reviews and improve upon their rice. It's similar to having an Italian restaurant and not knowing how to properly cook pasta (widespread as this is, sadly). read more

The meats are always top notch and the salsas are so fresh my mouth is watering just thinking about it. Their homemade chips are also out of this world. Dos Amigos is the best burrito/taco place around. The staff is always very polite and the food is always excellent. My favorite burrito is the steak and chicken burrito with their house made tortilla chips. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be visiting again soon. I also love that the staff has input on the daily specials. I think that its a great idea to take into consideration the input or recommendations of the staff. Staff is very important and having them be involved with the daily routine makes them feel much more respected even though some may not think so. read more

This place is alright, though I don't think I'll be going there again unless every other lunch place is closed and this is the only place open. Not to say that this place is awful, I'm just saying that when it comes to my lunch I don't play around. The goods: - a fair number of tables and menu items - the carnitas was very flavorful - your meal my very well come with house made tortilla chips like my burrito bowl did - portions seem more realistic than chipotle The so-so's: - if you've been to a chipotle, or even boloco, don't get any ideas because this is different. sure, everything's out in the open, but you don't order as you go like the afore mentioned establishments: you order at the cash register, pay for your food, and wait. - the spicy salsa sauce: honestly, i've had hotter and if you really want hot you'll be slapping the yucateca on the second you sit down to a table - where you put your dirty burrito bowl when you're done... which I'm still unclear about even after being directed by of one of the employees - not really sure how pricing goes: do i have to pay more for the spiciest salsa than if i went for the regular? more for yogurt than sour cream? why isn't this spelled out on the menu board? As what appears to be the only lunch option on Main Street Concord at 11 a.m., if you're really in a pinch this is the place to go. The staff were courteous and quiet and there didn't seem to be a ton of "fun" energy (i.e. no joking amongst co-workers, no chatty-cathy cashier). I'm a vegetarian so I was THRILLED to see all the tofu options here. I got two of the tofu soft tacos and they were delicious! The place was packed so it seems the meat eaters of the world love this place as well. My only reason for not giving five stars is because it took quite a while to get my food after ordering, and the counter I sat at was a little sticky.
