From the moment we walked in, El Rodeo radiated warmth and friendliness. The hostess greeted us with a huge smile, and that same energy was shared by every single staff member we encountered. Had a hankering for mex. I've been to the one in Newington and was hugely disappointed. This one was good! Service was like lightning. I hadn't even gotten my butt on my seat and there was chips and salsa in front of me! I got a steak quesadilla and it was yummy, not one piece of gristle, perfectly cooked. Love the combo plates. I was pleasantly surprised by this place. Authentic Mexican food in Concord. The chips were nice and crisp and salsa had great flavor and wasn't spicy at all. My wife had the chorizo, eggs, beans and rice. I did the #1 combo that came with a taco, two enchiladas and beans OR rice. I have never been tasked with having to choose between beans or rice. That's like having to openly admit who your favorite child is. Regardless, I chose refried beans and they were excellent. The best thing I ate there was the rice--buttery and delicious. The service was excellent, very understanding of L's celiac and particular tastes. The beans were the standard runny, the mole over the enchiladas was fairly tasteless. I tasted L's nachos and found the cheese hard to identify and also bland. At least they give you a good amount of salsa with the chips. Didn't see the inside, and the view outside was some big box store's parking lot. Delicious salsa and strong margaritas. The chicken wings were good and perfectly crispy. I got the chicken burrito wrap and my boyfriend got one of the lunch combos. Overall we enjoyed the food. Everything came out hot and tasted good. Also the chicken in my burrito was not dry so that was a relief. They seriously need to start focusing on the customer and touching tables,,, NEVER, should a patron have to wait to order their drink! And before anyone starts in on this whole Covid thing, my evaluation is solely on every experience we have had here. Before Covid until now, we have had horrible service. Hello Friends; We ate here for the first time on the last hot day of the fall. We had read the good star reviews before selecting. We were however very disappointed. The nachos were very salty and skimpy. Beans are not beans if you get refried on nachos when the menu says beans! Yes Karen, there is a difference. One half slice of a tomato, really? Cheese is not included with Nachos Supreme, we knew that, really? The only authentic ingredients are the salt, on everything. You don't notice it at first but after an hour, if you aren't dying of thirst, then possibly you are a saltaholic! I am not, neither is my lady friend. We also ordered the Mini-Chimi with a cheesy dip of sorts. Maybe that is where the salt was mostly, these are quite good, though one bite and the meat is gone, you are left with a crusty bite of fried dough, not too bad. The waiter was quite attentive, obviously very busy and was tipped generously for his ability to accommodate us as well as other tables so well. The Nacho's Supreme are $14.25, a little steep for cheeseless. The Mini-Chimi $9.25, high but I would buy again. They are filling. A note to the proprietor(s), exiting the restaurant, having to ask folks to step aside to exit, not good. Glad the fire alarm didn't go off, somebody could get trampled. In closing, we spent 50 bucks for a 20 buck meal. We won't be back. We ate at a hole in the wall Mexican not far away, spent 45 bucks, lightly salted, nice atmosphere, excellent food! read more

I feel bad for the workers there having to deal with irritated customers but you don't need 5 people up front telling that your order is being worked on.
