Tried takeout here for the first time recently and it won't be our last! I was in the mood for nachos (though when am I not?) but also kind of into the idea of a quesadilla? I'm big on ordering enough for multiple meals so I went with the nachos and a kid's steak quesadilla and got 3 meals out of the deal! The kid's portion came with two mini quesadillas and a side of rice and they were definitely generous with the steak portions! They had hearty chunks of steak, perfectly cooked and seasoned, surrounded by a nice melty cheese. Really tasty! For my nachos I went with the carnitas though I think they may have accidentally given me the al pastor as I bit into more than a few chunks of pineapple, which honestly was not my favorite when blended with the other elements of the nachos. I'd definitely get them again but I think I'd pick a different protein just in case. Probably the steak since it was so good in the quesadillas. I went through less than half of the nachos since they were a huge portion and tucked away the rest in the fridge for the next day. Sure, nachos don't always reheat great but I tossed mine under the broiler to crisp everything back up and then added some fresh chips on the side and it was perfect. I still had a few leftovers even after that and took the rest of it and added an egg on top for a makeshift chilaquiles dish! Pretty good! My one regret was not trying the churros but I'll definitely be doing that the next time! read more

We had a great experience at Dos Hermanos Express! My husband got a Build Your Own Burrito with double steak and chicken. He did this because the standard meat portions are pretty small, but the flavors are fantastic!! I got the veggie burrito and I loved it as well. Service was great and it was very nice inside. After our burritos, we got ice cream from the ice cream counter and their portions are HUGE! My husband got a medium with Cookie Monster and strawberry cheesecake and I got a small ferrero rocher ice cream. They were phenomenal and I genuinely can't stress enough how much they fill the cups with ice cream. Amazing flavors and really kind customer service at the ice cream counter as well. We got takeout on a weekend night and food tasted flavorful and fresh, plus prices were very fair. Food was ready when promised. Portions are generous, so you will probably be able to make 2 meals out of whatever you order. Definitely a place to add to the Rolodex! read more

This place is amazing, I've been here a couple times and each time felt like the first time. The tacos and horchata are out of this world and the service is quick and friendly. If you are looking for a place to take a girl on a date or just hang with your friends THIS IS THE PLACE, it has an amazing vibe as soon as you walk in. I will say at least for my order it does get a bit pricey but it's definitely worth it if you are looking for somewhere nice to eat every once in a while. read more

This is a great lunch spot! If you are a street taco aficionado, you know what sets an asada taco apart from the rest, is how the steak is prepared! They marinade their steak and it's amazing! Add Cilantro and onions... a lime wedge! And top it off with a grilled jalapeño!!! I'm getting hungry thinking about it! Had these takeout loaded barbacoa fries that were love at first bite! But even before biting into them, they were so visually rich. The meat seasoning balanced the rest of the ingredients, and the fries had a perfect crunch. Will definitely go back to eat on-site. read more

FOOD/DRIINKS = 3 I had the beef taco combo. Rice and beans. It was good but nothing outstanding. My wife had a bowl. It was good as well. They do have ice cream section. But again a bit over priced. 3. SERVICE = 2 This is business model like Qdova. The team works and went smoothly. I dropped from 3 to 2. The soda station had one out of order but the high runner coke was out of syrup. I mentioned it and the team member said they were aware of it. But while we were there eating no team member took time to take care of it. There is a saying one preception becomes thier reality. 4. BATHROOM = 3 Clean. 5. PRICING = 2 I feel that the pricing for the product is to high. $35.00 for two people. I am asked to tip for people behind the counter. Tips for me is linked to a sit down resteraunt. Or if someone delivers food to my house. For me inflation of 9% two years ago is finally showing up. For our economy it takes 18 to 24 months for it to hit. Figure it is really about 30% after all the supply chain adds in thier pricing. I did look at a Qdova order and it was $32.00 back in July. The other element i am not sure what the salary is. If it is like California where it is now law that fast food workers get paid $20.00 per hour. 6. OBSERVATION It is like any fast food business model. You order at the counter and pay when you are given the food. Another Mexican resteraunt hoping to making. But I am not seeing themselves a stand out for other Mexican resteraunt choices. Like any food classification Mexican has a set grouping the food mix is the same but different name. What sets thus Mexican business apart from other Mexican restaurants? Why would someone want to return? Time will tell if these two brothers have a business model that is growth oriented. 7. POINTS 14 OUT OF 25. Changed from 14 to 13 OUT OF 25. Ordered to go. On my ride home I could tell these were going to be a hit just by the smell. The packaging was neat and once I took a look inside the container my suspicions were correct. Come here occasionally when dropping items off at Muse Pro Audio and grab lunch. Staff is awesome (unlike most Tex-Mex or similar spots, this one is true Mexican and ran by a mostly Mexican-American staff). Food is on point. Service usually fast. This is definitely the best Mexican food in the Ann Arbor area. They do a few key things that other taquerias don't do: they heat up the tortillas in oil or butter so they don't fall apart and are not dry. They marinate the meat way better and have a nice char on their meat. Their hot salsa isn't just heat but has a nice smoky flavor. Food is incredible and absolutely the best Mexican food in the area. My favorites are the California Burrito and the Quesabirrias. The guys who work there are super nice and friendly. The inside is nice and they always have good music playing. The only bad part about this place is that I keep recommending it to everyone I know and I'm starting to sound like a crazy person. I've been wanting to try their tacos for awhile and since tacos don't travel as well as say a burrito we decided to stop in for lunch on the premises. As in our past visits the service was friendly and quick. To be fair, we arrived right before the lunch rush and since everything is prepared to order the line can take a bit of time when they are busy, but given our arrival time we had our food and were seated in about five minutes. I had three tacos, a Pollo, Al Pastor and Barbacoa. All three were served authentic style with onions, cilantro and a wedge of lime and all three selections (on a corn tortilla of course) were excellent. My companion had her standard veggie burrito and was also pleased with her selection. There are a few other menu items I would like to try so we will be back. The ambience is "fast food" with a Mexican equivalent to MTV which kind of felt like we were in a strip mall in Mexico. read more

Just found this Gem today. They've been open two months now and replaced the previous Moes grill. The name states it's owned by two siblings. I was impressed by how fresh & clean everything was and also the kind service ( one of the owners). He shared that they make everything fresh daily. I had the chicken tacos ( the chicken had just come out of the oven) and it had a delicious marinade and the chicken was very moist and shells not greasy at all. I also loved the homemade salsa and am looking forward to trying other items on the menu. It's great to have an authentic express Mexican restaurant in the area... give them a try! read more

My daughter told me about this little restaurant that would be easy to miss if you didn't know about it. So I tried it tonight and basically inhaled the Quesabirrias which are so delicious! I only got two and now wish I had ordered three! They were to-die-for good! Very friendly staff; everything look good. Somebody ordered a burrito and it was huge! Might try that next time.
