Felt like a special date night with the valentines decor they had today The drinks were tasty, without being too strong and the elote was delicious! We loved the empanada, still warm and savory~ the tacos were ok, and the pollo(chicken) was very filling~ services was pleasant, with the waitress's being kind and always checking in if we needed more drinks, food or water~ had a good time at lunch today~ lunch time was pleasant because there wasn't any lines and had a chill vibe

    Steak and Carnitas Tacos

The first time I visited Dos Mundos was for the RI Food Fight Taco Mania and I will absolutely be back! My boyfriend and I got two tacos each. I had steak and he had pork. They were absolutely delicious. The meat was so tender. We also ordered the Chichi Fried Rice which is fried rice and chicarron. The portion was HUGE, the plate looked beautiful, and we were so impressed. The staff was friendly, the food was out quickly, and we were checked on numerous times during our meal. We have officially found our new go-to restaurant. I want to try anything and everything that they put on the menu. Amazing Asian and Latin fusion food!

One Item Combo - chicken wings marinated in salt, pepper, and garlic seasoning with white rice
    Karla M.

I only tried 4 items on the menu and they were all SO good--I'm ready to go back and try some more. We ordered the combo plate with the chicken wings marinated in garlic, salt, and peppered seasoning and white rice, elote loco, dos mundos sandwich, and a pork belly taco. The item menu that most captured my attention before even coming here was the pork belly tacos. After seeing their post on Instagram about them, my mouth was watering. It looked a bit different in person (probably cause it had toppings) but met all my expectations. The tortilla was soft and light, it almost reminded me of a thinned out Bao bun. You could taste the melted cheese. It was a bit sharp and my motto when it comes to cheeses is the sharper the better. The cheese didn't pull but it wasn't hard either, it was somewhere in between. The lettuce and cream on top were refreshing and balanced out the other flavors. The star of the show was obviously the pork belly. It was the perfect thickness, cooked perfectly, well seasoned and had a nice balance of meat to fat. To stick with the pork theme, let's talk about the dos mundos sandwich. Again, the pork belly was also great in this sandwich. I did prefer the way it was in the taco better though since it was a bit more fried there. The shredded pork was flavorful and there was a decent amount of it. I believe the purple cabbage and Mayo combined along with the pork just made everything taste amazing. The Mayo is creamy, the cabbage provides a bit of a crunch, and the pork is meaty and salty. Some of these flavors reminded me of home so it made me really happy. One recommendation would be to grill the buns or toast them for warmness and a crunch. The chicken wings were very tasty but I think the description should be changed to something like sticky wings or bourbon wings. The best way I could describe the flavor would be sweet but with a hint of the flavor you get from soy sauce. They were very juicy, crispy, and all around very good. The combo came with 4 wings and we decided on white rice. I think next time I would do 2 items since it's only $2 more for each item you add on up to 3 items. Lastly, we had the Elote loco. It was good but very standard--cream, cheese, red powder (was not spicy), and cilantro. I was hoping it would have a bit of a twist to it. I probably would opt to get something else next time. It also is on the cob so if you're looking to share, be prepared to get creative. The food took about 15 minutes to come out which is not long at all considering we did order a few items. The inside is huge. There's around 8-10 tables all very spaced out so you're not eating on top of parties next to you. They have a cute little corner with a couch which makes it feel very cozy (especially on a rainy day like when I went). They do also have outdoor seating for nicer days. The staff is incredibly nice. They were highly attentive and made us feel at home. Excellent service. I would highly recommend this place. I will be back to try other items on the menu.

My family of four visited for dinner and we were pleasantly surprised by this restaurant that we hadn't heard much ab! This restaurant is kind of hidden but the food was great. It is very casual so definitely family friendly. I loved my margaritas and they had a great presentation. All of us loved our food, the fries, burritos, and street corn were delicious!

Y'all, the el pollito...the chicken is so crunchy, juicy, and flavorful at the same time! We also had the dynamite rolls, which were delicious as well! We WILL be going back! Bonus, it's close to a Walmart, so perfect spot to get lunch before or after you shop! Also, staff and chefs were super friendly!

Visited as part of the RI Food Fights TacoMania. This hidden gem was an a delicious & interesting spot! Just off Plainfield Pike near 295, it was a bit trick to find but well worth the hunt. Dos Mundos, or "two worlds", refers to their unique Mexican/Cambodian fusion menu. Tacos were fresh & filling well seasoned. An order of egg rolls was good as well. They have a short but very well selected beer list featuring some of the best local brews. The staff were friendly & helpful & a variety of seating includes an outside patio & comfortable couches & lounge areas.

    Great wings!!

GREAT lunch @ Dos Mundos today. I can really say the best wings I've ever had in RI, and love the tacos too! Please support great local businesses like this one, and SO delicious too! Great hospitality, owner is not only talented, but very courteous too. As for cleanliness, the place is spotless!

The gem of Cranston tucked away in a little mini strip mall kinda place. You NEED to seek out this restaurant. The atmosphere and layout were very nice. There was a great mural on the wall showing where the roots of this amazing fusion cuisine hot their start. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly. She gave us a couple of great recommendations and answered any and all questions we had. So that being said.....WE DUG IN!!!! Dynamite Egg Rolls (Light, crispy, delicious) Garlic Fries (Savory, salty, perfectly cooked) Wings (Sticky, sweet, spicy, and massive. I think they were from a pterodactyl if I'm being honest) Thai Tea (Creamy, sweet, smooth ) Gordo Taco (Cheese wrapped taco that will alter your existence bite by bite) And the friggin BURRITO wow wow wow. (Hefty, crispy melted cheese outside, jam packed with flavor. This is an undertaking to say the least, so BE HUNGRY, or be prepared for leftovers) We were also very delighted to try out their different sauces (from mild to ). All of them very unique and wonderful. I can't say enough good things about this place. One of the owners came over to our table to check on us at the end and to chat a bit. I'm very eager to return and conquer the rest of the menu!!

Absolutely delicious! I had the mixta which was so good and the chapin was much bigger than I expected. The staff was really friendly and attentive. The decor was really nice and welcoming! I would recommend this place, it is a Guatemalan and Cambodian restaurant and has cocktails!

    "The Dragonfruit" Cocktail
    Josue O.

My visit to Dos Mundos was very good! I started off with a cocktail called "Tchani" and it was like a spicy margarita but it was so refreshing. My girl got the Thai tea and loved the fact that it wasn't overly sweet. For food I got the pork belly stir fry which was fire. The rice with the egg was decent, but that gordo style taco was very good. I asked for Al pastor and it had pretty decent flavor. My girl got two special Al pastor tacos and she enjoyed them as well. The "Dragonfruit" cocktail was good too, had this cucumber flavor with the dragonfruit and it was fire! To end it off we had a tres caramel cake which tastes sooooo good, just would say the cake needed a little more soaking of the condensed milk but it was still good. 4.3/5

Lemongrass Chicken and Beef Soup a Two Item Combo

Cambodian and Guatemalan foods all in one spot! Great mix of flavors while maintaining the authenticity of both cuisines. The Taco Gordo was well-built and definitely a favorite! The pika pika sauce is fire. We ordered the lemongrass chicken which was spot on and got the soup as a side. We were impressed by how much food you get in the combo meal and the broth was so delicious! Very good food and many other items to try, so we will be back for sure!

So many great things about this restaurant! I was fascinated by the interior design of this place! The heart of the restaurant is def the painting! The owner herself was such a sweetheart! Very proud that she is representing our Cambodian heritage in her menu! She welcomed us like we were family! My siblings and I pretty much ordered 70% of the menu! Lol Everything was finger licking good! If you haven't been I suggest you run there now! Happy eating!

When I arrived, there was a very sweet older lady at the counter who greeted me. I knew I wanted to get food to go so I was kind of in a rush due to being tired from the ride. I ordered chicken breast, yellow rice with beans and sweet plantains. The woman (the hunger in me did not allow me to ask what her name was) took my order and said that the chicken and plantains would take a few minutes because they had to be cooked. Which was ok with me; I did desire fresh food. The food was cooked in no time. The woman was so sweet because she didn't charge me extra when I changed my white rice to yellow rice - I did leave a nice tip though. Fast forward to when I got home to eat: the food was FREAKING AMAZING! And, it was plentiful! Enough for leftovers for tomorrow! If I could give 10 stars, I would have! It was probably some of the best Dominican food I'd ever had! I will be back! The physical place itself is basically no-frills but the food makes up for all of that! 5 stars!

The pork belly was very dry, hard, and mostly unpleasant to eat. We split the bisteca lo pobre and it was very good. There's a $5 split plate fee and for that small amount, we got a full second portion of rice, fries, and an extra egg. Well worth it. We sat inside this time and it was fine, albeit a little loud. We would probably ask for outside next time if the weather was nice. The spiced chicha is easily my favorite drink on nearly any menu at a Peruvian restaurant I've been to. We had requested outdoor seating, but were instead led to an indoor table in a room that really didn't have much character, and wasn't what we were looking for on a special night. We asked to be moved outdoors, and after a little while a table became available. Outdoors was so much nicer than indoors and we really liked all of the plants and the live music as well. Our server was Joseph and he was really nice - he was probably the best part of our visit to Los Andes. I had heard such great things about this restaurant, but found most of the food to be pretty average compared to other Peruvian restaurants I've been to, and the prices were higher than they should have been. We ordered appetizers, drinks, entrees and a dessert, and all in all, I think Los Andes is overhyped. It was disappointing to have to wait for quite awhile past our reservation time, to not have our request for an outdoor table honored and then have to move, and the food and drinks were not as good as I would have expected them to be given Los Andes' reputation. Glad we went, but now I can cross it off of my list.
