After getting quotes from about a dozen Movers, I chose Dose Moving for it's great reviews on Yelp and the fact that while their hourly rate was higher than many Movers, they didn't charge any extra fees for gas, the truck, moving and packing materials, etc. Marilee in the office was very easy to work with and the day of the move Brandon (not me) and his team showed up and got right to work. Having a team of four Movers made things go very quickly. They took apart all the furniture that needed to be disassembled, carefully wrapped and protected all of our furniture and had it on the truck in no time. When we arrived at the new house, they quickly worked to place all the items exactly where they needed to go, assembled all the furniture and cleaned up all the packing materials. We recently used Dose Moving and Storage to move us from our Gainey Ranch home in Scottsdale to a small (temporary) rental apartment. Although this was just a short distance move that was unlike the cross-country move we made after relocating to Scottsdale from our New Jersey home five years ago, this move was complicated because of having to move most of our furnishings and personal property to a storage facility and the remainder to our apartment. From our first contact with the owner, Patrick, and his wife, Merilee, we were very impressed by their professionalism and responsiveness. They made us feel like we were their only customers; we had never felt that way with any prior moving company we had used in the past. Based on Patrick's advice, we decided on four men for the move. Of course, we knew this would be more expensive than using only two or three men, but we believed that it would be more cost-effective in the long-run. That expectation was confirmed on the move day. On the day of the move, the moving team called us when they were about 15 minutes away from our home. They arrived precisely at the scheduled time. All four men were extremely efficient, very respectful; and they handled everything with extreme care. The team leader recommended moving the items to be stored in the storage facility first. When the truck arrived at the storage facility, the team unloaded the truck and packed everything perfectly in the space we had rented. The team paid close attention to the boxes marked "Fragile" and did not stack anything on top of those boxes. The second phase of the move to our rental apartment was also performed with great care and efficiency. We were extremely pleased when the team leader presented the bill to us for payment at the end of the move. The total cost turned out to be less than we had estimated it would be. We are currently looking for a new home in the area. We look forward to calling Patrick and Merilee when we are ready to move into that future home, and we plan to request the exact same team of men again for that move. After doing endless research I decided on dose moving to help me change residences - I was able to book them 3/4 days before my actual move and Marilee helped me set up a time with ease. Day of my move, I was supposed to have 2 movers at 1pm. I called to see where they were and Marilee informed me they were running late, so they gave me a 3rd mover for free! We had DOSE do our move from Chandler to Maricopa and could not have asked for more ! Set it up with Marilee for 9:00 am and got a call around 8:30 that they were on their way. Jim and Brandon were really great, no problem in getting after it, leather furniture, paintings, nice wood casegoods, table saw, work bench all handled with kid gloves and blanket wrapped and not stacked in truck. The equipment was top drawer including the truck and strapping, ect. What polite guys and enjoyed them working on our stuff being put in place in new house . I hired this company to pack up and move one bedroom. I was trying to keep an eye on the three young men doing the move, As there were many collectibles. When I noticed the one young man had a pack pack with ( MANY ZIPPERS ) in the same room that they were packing up. I first thought that he had packing materials inside, But I was wrong!! I then inquired as to whose pack pack it was and was told it was this one of the packers.. I was told that he had his wallet stolen out of the truck before so he had to carry it with him all day! Hmmmmm!!! Well, I watched the pack pack go from the room to the truck back and forth all day!!!??? Needless to say, this made me very uneasy to trust these movers! This was my experience with these movers! I called the owners, I never received an apology from either of them. The husband never called me back. I called the wife, all she wanted to tell me was the education of these young men! And without any explanation about the BACK PACK!! With no apology at all!!! I would NOT recommend this company! We were only offered to search the truck after the whole move was over, and there was maybe 20 blankets in the truck and this pack pack was in and out for 4 hours! It just makes a person feel so used by this company! The owners did not care even after I told them what had happened! Not even an apology! Again, I not accusing any one! I would not recommend this place. I feel like our time was unnecessarily extended, quote was completely off, and 3 out of the 4 guys were constantly standing around doing nothing. While 1 was sweating and working his hardest. I also had an item my grandmother left me break during their move. My heart sinks every time I think about it. Their insurance paid us $11 because they insure based on weight. Everyone seems to like this company, so maybe we got caught on their off day? I recently used Dose movers to help me with my move in Scottsdale. The team that showed up was professional, in uniform, and ready to work. They came in, introduced themselves, and started running boxes out. The team took great care of my items both in packing the truck, and unpacking to move items into the new house. Dose helped me unpack my pod, including moving a few pieces that are in the 10s of thousands and did a wonderful job. There was some damage to a wall from a couch they moved downstairs, and also on the ceiling above the stairs, but we didn't notice till after they left. I didn't even call and complain, because the couch is heavy, and I probably couldn't have done better myself, so why bitch about it. After the work was complete we received a phone call follow up from a leader/owner to make sure everything went smooth, which it did. The price was fair, and if we ever move again, the first place I would look would be Dose moving. Great job! read more

So after 11 years in a very large two-story house, it was time to downsize. I found the perfect spot, 24 miles away, and half the size. My dilemma was who is going to move all of my belongings from one side of the town to the other. I checked Yelp, and called four of the most highly rated movers. Imagine my surprise when three of the four quoted me prices and then added on fees for trip and travel, being outside of their service area, stairs, distance to the sidewalk, and a variety of other things. Dose was the only one who charged me a fee and said that is my hourly rate. No extra fees, no hidden charges, no surprises. They showed up on time, friendly, courteous, and an absolute pleasure to spend an entire day with. Not only that, but all of my belongings arrived intact and undamaged. On 9/15/17 Marilee sent Nick, Dave, Jonathan, Devin and Dylan to move us out of a high rise condo in Scottsdale into a single family residence, and we were braced for a nightmare.. lots of artwork, over-sized furniture, 125 cartons of dishes and non-essential sh**, narrow hallways, small elevator, etc... These guys were MAGNIFICENT!! Highly professional, friendly but serious about their work, outstanding "can-do" attitude, extremely organized and efficient, and never stopped or slowed down until they were finished... At end of day, they spent considerable time re-assembling a Cal-King sized bed that was designed and produced by someone very cruel! Too many pieces (some missing), nothing obvious and weighing around 250 pounds! We cannot say enough about the skill, attitude, demeanor, and personalities of these 5 guys...they were AWESOME!!!!! I can't say enough about this service. Starting with Maralee on the phone. I had some obstacles not on my radar that she addressed and put me at ease to accommodate me. Thanks ever so much Maralee! It was a cross country move for me by myself. I'm a 60 yr old female and to say it was stressful physically and emotionally is an understatement. Because of the apt that I moved to my 26 ft trailer had to be parked quite far from my actual building. Dose movers came with they're 14 ft truck and the double move began. Patrick and two of his guys had to unload 10ft of stuff (floor to ceiling and wall to wall) from the ABF trailer to they're trailer and then drive close to my building to unload to my apt. I might add, to my apt meant walking all around the building to my front door, ad I face a courtyard. Not exactly convenient. They worked there bottom off and were as pleasant as could be. They were careful with my things and very efficient. All this was done in 4 hours. On top of that, Patrick charged me much less then I expected for a double move. I was so happy to tip them all for they're hard work. I will absolutely call them in the future for any of my needs and highly recommend them to anyone. I have never used a moving company before and this company surpassed all my expectations! I have heard many horror stories about movers breaking things or over charging and these guys were beyond excellent! Rob was in charge of my move and he was very nice and professional! Jordan and Alex, who also helped, were so nice and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire move. All three of them worked their butts off and wrapped all of my furniture so well for a 15 minute drive to my new place. They even took things that weren't a part of my original move to storage without one complaint! They were so good I tipped them and I feel like I didn't tip them enough because they were so good. These guys are the real deal. Highly recommended. From my initial correspondence with Marilee (QUICK responses and very helpful) through to the end of the move, we were in good hands. Rob called ahead of time and showed up literally 9:00AM on the dot (they offered to come earlier, if we wanted, but we were doing the last minute shuffle and our new place didn't allow us to move in too early). After quickly surveying our space and asking if we had any preferences/needs, they went at it. We were only moving a one bedroom's worth of items, but Rob, Sanchez and Hugo took great care in making sure even our crappiest furniture was bundled and wrapped carefully. We were moving up to a 3rd floor walk-up, and these guys handled it like pros. We had a little snag with our bed - it needed a small wrench that was could not find for the life of us (of course, when you need it most). They did warn us that there could be an issue with moving it in the state it was in, but they did it (and it's perfectly fine!). Thanks, guys. I was skeptical about all of the glowing reviews for these guys, but now I see why. If we have to move again, they will be the first call we make. All three guys were rock stars.
