Came to Gusto for lunch on a Saturday and there was lots of table available. I always drive by this place and been meaning to try it. We were seated right away but it did take a while for our water to come out. Believe it or not, the complimentary bread finally came out after all our food came out. Definitely recommend trying this because the sun dried tomato sauce was delicious. The restaurant gives old vibes Food: -Burrata & Prosciutto: 9/10, the burrata was creamy, lots of prosciutto pieces all around the pizza, my only complaint was it was not cooked enough -Chicken Parm: 10/10 the spaghetti was soo chewy, we were told that it was handmade, definitely get the the white sauce to go with the red sauce parm Can't wait to come back and try the other dishes!

Checked out Gustos and overall had a great dinner! I did have some criticisms but the experience was overall great! 1. Great service! 2. Drinks were on point and delicious! Love the Italian touch! Ordered a lemoncello margarita and it was delicious! 3. The starter bread that they brought out with the sun dried tomatoes as super good! 4. The fungi pizza was also very good and flavorful! We added sausage on it for an extra cost, but it was worth it, sausage had good flavor as well! 5. I did have criticisms about the prosciutto pizza. Although the ingredients were tasty, the whole pizza felt bland and was missing something. Instead of tomato sauce, it had cherry tomatoes on it. I felt nice tomato sauce would go well with this pizza. 6. The carbonara pasta was good, however the sauce became too thick and clumpy and didn't maintain a smooth creamy texture. Definitely worth a visit!

Was excited to try this place for dinner. Made reservations online 30 mins before arrival. Good friendly service. Food: Margherita pizza 4/5 added extra mozzarella, good but expected better crust with a wood fire oven Fungi pizza 4/5 tasty and same comment as above re crust Artichoke ravioli 5/5 excellent super tasty and creamy Beet salad 3/5 ok should have asked for dressing on the side Linguine Al vongole 3/5 super strong seafood flavor. Just ok. Focaccia bread sooooo goood! And the dipping sauce too!

Home Slice A locally owned Italian restaurant that's been in operation in Seaside for over ten years (ca. 2015). Gusto is one of the few truly scratch-made Italian restaurants that specializes not only in pizza, pasta, and sauces, but also features an old-school brick, wood-fired pizza oven. Hell, they even make their own mozzarella! They have not only caught the eye of locals and Yelpers, but have also managed to earn a recommendation in the current Michelin Guide. The Good: * Private parking lot, as well as street parking. * Fabulous service from Alex! * Prices are very reasonable considering the food quality. * Local beers on tap. * Strawberry Prosciutto Salad (seasonal special) was fantastic! Who knew strawberries paired so perfectly with salty, cured prosciutto and pistachios? This might not be on the menu all the time, but if you see it, get it! * Complimentary focaccia was unbelievably soft and delicious. As if it couldn't get any better, their olive tapenade served alongside it was equally delicious, making for an unbeatable duo. * The Margherita pizza is the ultimate test of a pizza restaurant--and they passed with flying colors! It's so simple that if something isn't right, it'll be easy to spot, but everything from the homemade mozz to the slightly charred crust and the delicious sauce made this the perfect pie. I give it a score of 3.14159265359...! The Meh: * Meatballs were a touch too tough and could've been a bit more tender. They were still fuçking delicious, so honestly, who cares? The Ugly: * Despite the name, Seaside isn't the most glorious place, and this location is downright sus AF. Conclusion: Maybe one of the best meals so far of 2026. If you have any doubts about coming here, relieve yourself of them and get down here posthaste.

We were in town and looking for a place for lunch. I spotted Gusto and suggested we go here. Then John found out that they were in the Michelin guide. Then he was totally on board. What an incredible meal! The service was fantastic. And we can't stop thinking about the complimentary focaccia bread. So amazing. We shared a starter of meatballs. The sauce was delicious. Then we shared a salad and a pizza. I wish we live closer so we could try more items but we will be back! Highly recommend this place.

originally had plans for lunch in carmel-by-the-sea, but abandoned the plans after being unable to find parking...decided to start driving up and find lunch elsewhere...ended up at gusto in seaside...easy parking in the lot...exterior of the building looked quite boring, but the interior was surprisingly well kept...friendly and professional staff...menu provided and lunch specials available...placing an order for the pizza carnivora $29 and lunch rigatoni bolognese $18 served with complimentary soup or salad...clam chowder selected...water arriving with the most wonderful complimentary bread with delicious spread...the sauce for the bread was fantastic...pizza arriving shortly after...pretty meaty pizza as the name suggests...rigatoni was perfect and tasty...same for the soup....enjoyed the filling $60 lunch for 3....

Vinissa gave the best service, we want to come back because of how well she treated us. We ordered half funghi and half Carnivora pizza, it was delicious. Fungi was 10/10 and Carnivora was 8/10. The complimentary bread and dip was really good too. The happy anniversary cannoli was really good too!

We visited yesterday after a long drive very close to closing. The team was gracious and welcoming and never once rushed us. They provided crayons and coloring pages for the kids and were attentive and friendly throughout. The focaccia with tapenade was delicious and we loved the bolognese and pappardelle was a hit! Will definitely have to return for the pizzas and cheese hr artichoke ravioli!

This is the chicken parmigiana with noodles and Alfredo sauce. Fresh pulled mozzarella and tomato over the chicken

For a Michelin star restaurant everything was satisfactory. Prices weren't terrible. The food was made to order and had homemade qualities. Service was fine, it was hard to understand the waiter and he seemed impatient to repeat himself, but I could tell he does his job well and is knowledgeable. The ambiance is classic Italian restaurant with a polished feel.

Staying in Seaside for a little vacation and ran upon this place. The website has wonderful presentation and when we arrived it's like we stepped into a locals favorite restaurant. The food was divine. I enjoyed the Linguini con Scampi. The pasta was perfectly al dente, and the sauce was curated to perfection. My husband enjoyed the pepperoni pizza. We both agreed this is as real as it gets. For dessert (pictured), I enjoyed the tiramisu, and my husband loved the berry cobbler. Our waitress was very kind, thank you Destiny. We enjoyed our food in a welcoming and homey atmosphere, that remained quieter than most. (This is a good sign for how well the food is) I highly reccomend!

Artichoke ravioli... one of three on the menu, I think. Absolutely divine! Very rich but definitely worth it.

Very nice cozy place. Comfortable and welcoming. Servers, especially Steven, all quick to serve and his recommendations for me... on the top! We came by without reservations, but luckily it was before the rush came in. Food was divine as well. We will be returning when we stop by in Monterey bay again, no questions about it. Likely we will try other things on menu that we were deciding between our pick tonight. Make this your stop, if you enjoy great service and Italian food.

Gusto's is our favorite new place to take visitors. I can't believe it took me 5 years to find this amazing place! The food is fresh, phenomenal and absolutely delicious. The service is always great!! Although the restaurant gets busy, it's not too loud and you can still hear others at your table.

Thought I would learn from my mistake last time and make a reservation, but I forgot again and ended up waiting about 45 minutes to eat. Looks like this place was awarded Michelin Plate - Michelin recommended but no special awards. Anyway, stuck with my carnivora pizza which is a meat lover paradise. The pizza felt a little undercooked this time though. The center of the pizza was very droopy and toppings struggled to stay on. I powered through anyway. They also couldn't make the peanut butter espresso martini this time around. I tried their tiramisu espresso martini and didn't get any buzz out of it. Don't recall if they had the bread last time but that was a much welcomed appetizer. Anyway, overall still enjoyed my meal. I highly recommend making a reservation for your visit. The service was good considering how busy the restaurant gets. Hope y'all enjoy this place too.

    Is restaurant Dog friendly?

    No it is not.

Gusto serves more traditional thin crust Italian pizzas, however sometimes they offer a specialty pizza with some of the non-traditional toppings.

What meat is used for the meatballs?

Our meatballs are made of beef and pork in a rich tomato marinara sauce.

    Gluten free options?

They have quite a few gluten free options for appetizers, salads, main courses and they offer a gluten free Penne pasta and pizza crust as well.

Do they have gluten free options?

Yes! Pizza and pasta can be ordered gluten free and they have salads.

Did they change the cocktail glasses. I had a Cadillac Margarita, it seemed small in comparison to previous visits?

Hi Gary, We did not change our glasses. I’m so sorry if you were served your drink in the wrong glass. We will be happy to make it right. Please contact me directly. Thanks

Hi do you guys take large groups? Like 30 people I'm looking somewhere to host a rehearsal lunch for a wedding

We love large groups at Gusto. Just make sure you call us and make arrangements in advance. We can even do a special menu for you if you would like. Please ask for the manager.

Is there a corkage fee? Can you bring your own wine?

Thank you for asking. We have a great wine list of many Italian and local wines, however, you are certainly welcome to bring your own wine. We do charge a $20 per bottle…
