Caveat: This place appears to no longer be a panderia/bakery, just a normal Mexican restaurant. So maybe ownership recently changed hands and they kept the same name. Probably the most bland tasting Mexican food I've ever had. And with almost no customers there, took ~20 minutes for to-go food that could have taken 5 minutes, maybe 10 minutes max if they were busy. No indoor seating, no bathroom. However, the staff were friendly. Went over to the Mexican restaurant 2 stores down, Delicias Taqueria, to use the bathroom ... it was lively and packed with Mexican families, always a good sign. read more

This place is top notch. La creme de la creme. You can tell the bread is good as soon as you walk in because of the high temperature change compared to outside. That's because the ovens are literally running 24/7 to keep pumping out that bread. Trust me this bread is good. You can not find this bread anywhere in SJ. It's soft unlike a bunch of other places and they have more choices than baskin robins has ice cream flavors. One of the best things is the churros and those things run out quick. Just came from getting some bread and the young woman in the front counter is one of the rudest and worst customer service I have ever had to deal with. Every time I asked her a question she was very short with me and then when I was paying she throw my money back at me and said next time hand it to me. The staff is very nice and helpful. My daughter didn't want a cake but her 2 favorite pan dulces. They accommodated the large size (the wooden round I believe is 11")with no problem at all and my daughter was extremely happy! The pan dulce is also very yummy! read more

No other Mexican bakery compares to Tres Hermanos in Salinas! The bread is very soft and delicious!! I have a theory but I could be wrong; I believe they bake bread throughout the day, that's why every time you go in there it's like an oven! Most bakeries often bake in the morning and often break looks, feels and taste old, not here!!! Not here!!! They have a wide selection of bread, milk and some soft drinks!!! Best panadería in the whole Monterey county hands down. This bakery gets so packed in the afternoon they run out of pan asap. I've had people tell me to bring them pan to another state because it's that good. It is soft, fluffy, delicious pan dulce. I have not tried any other better pan dulce than this. I love this place. They open early and close late seven days a week. You walk in and its warm and smells good. Sometimes it's busy, but $0.75 per bread is cheap! and it tastes good. They have something different to accommodate every person. I like the jelly rolls or tri-colored cookie. Sometimes the corn shaped one. This bakery (panaderia) is very good! The freshness of the bread can be credited to their volume of customers that frequent throughout the day. I love walking into the bakery when fresh racks of bread are next to the counter waiting to be placed in the glass covered shelves, if the bread isn't taken directly from the racks while it's still warm.
