Well DAMN.. First off, this place has ROACHES and reminds me of a 90s crack house.. This was my second time coming here and they only reason I came back was the great service I received from the guy that they just recently fired.. I really hate having to leave bad reviews, but you can't be an asshole, have horrible service, and ROACHES then talk s@%t and tell me "SO," like whatever pay me and leave. That older guy there is an ass and very rude.. They didn't have tissue in the bathroom,that was NOT clean, the furniture was really old and was stained horribly, and the floors were dirty. Best staff I've seen at a hookah place anywhere; attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. They just make you feel welcome. The hookahs are clean and well cared for with no tape on the hoses or other things being used to rig broken equipment. There's a huge selection of brands and flavours to pick from and best of all they don't seem to charge for the byob or by of. The only downside is the music can get loud, but if you're like me and you smoke alone you can just throw on headphones and you're good to go. read more

Their prices are competitive in comparison to all the places around town that sell shisha and coals. TL; DR great prices for quality hookah in SA. Most importantly, amazing service. BYOB. Went there last night with friends around 9, and the place was pretty quiet. It started getting busier around 11 pm, mostly people coming in gropus or meeting with friends. Music is pretty chill and because the place isn't packed, the atmosphere is much more relaxed than other hookah bars. Ordered the passion fruit mojito and mango/fuzzy navel flavors. Both flavors were great and lasted the entire night shared between four people. Double Apple does offer a fruit bowl for an upcharge that is supposed to make the tobacco last longer while imparting a fruity flavor. I didn't try it this time, but will do next time (pictures of the fruit bowl are posted on the Yelp page). Since it was a warm night I decided to give their smoothies a try. The smoothies are cool, flavorful, and refreshing! Definitely try strawberry banana. Be sure to bring your own alcoholic beverages as Double Apple allows you to BYOB for $3 surcharge per person. Ended up leaving around half past one in the morning and can say my group and I are satisfied and will be returning soon! read more

Great menu selection of shisha at great prices, the dudes who set you up are totally cool even with folks who don't know shit about hookah. The patronage varies wildly from young to old and the music is not always very chill (can get very heavy and loud). Iwe got there late and figured if they couldn't/wouldn't serve us they would say they were closing, but no they said come on in and order, so we did. We ordered the double apple flavor, which according to their menu was ten bucks, but when the bill came it was a bit higher which would be bad enough but they didn't give us double apple but instead gave us some black licorice flavor. then when closing time came they hastily rushed us out and took our hookah. if they were closing they should have told us so instead of welcoming us in. I can take responsibility for getting late but they should have said we are closing instead of telling us to buy, giving us the incorrect order and overcharging. the owner reached out to us and I have revised this post which, while honest was written in anger and I should have reached out to the business first instead of just giving a one-sided review. sorry about that, this really still is a nice place. of course they could have handled it better but that's what communication is for! give them a shot, it really is still a great place and we will certainly come back especially after the kind and patient response from the owner. read more

We went twice this past weekend because the atomosphere was just very relaxed, yet hip. They have good music and the hookahs are made fast! The quality of the shisha is very good and the hookahs last a while. They have very interesting flavors! We tried the vanilla chia mint, which sounded weird at first but ended up being very smooth and comfortable for us! It's BYOB with a $3 per person drinking charge. read more

The crowd that is attracted there isnt my style as well they are a bit touchy but the buisness doesnt really have control over that now.But I have had a lot worse experiences but sadly I don't think I'm going to be coming back here again. I don't even smoke hookah n I love this place... I have gone with people that do...Have gone three times... I do bring my own alcohol and drink...They only charged $3... They will provide a cup for you to drink with... The staff is so friendly, and attentive... Even knowing I'm not there making them money, I still got treated very well...It's small, and has a cozy n comfy feel...The music has always been so enjoyable... I went here to celebrate my birthday. I'm not from Texas so I had to depend on reviews to find the best hookah cafe around San Antonio. The location is like any other hookah cafe, located in a strip mall. What I found funny was that it was located right by Adam and Eve (and if you don't know what that store provides, I suggest doing a Google search). I like the outdoor seating, however it was cold that night so we were forced to sit inside where it was extremely crowded. Now I'm all for crowds. I love parties, the louder the better. However, I do not like being crowded to the point that I think the hookah might fall in my lap. That was a issue. I think they should really rearrange some of the seating. The "DJ" that night was pretty cool. Different types of music, I enjoyed the music videos as well. The menu was like any others that you would find at a hookah cafe, except they have more fruit bowl offers. I decided that I asked for the watermelon bowl...and I did not get that. Due to it being busy (and not wanting to appear as a total b***) I decided to just stick with what I got. (Also I wasn't paying...and yes they did charge us for the watermelon bowl smh). Honestly, I had a better hookah experience at Tazas and Shisha. When I'm back in town I'll consider giving this place another try. read more

Seats are sticky, ceiling is deteriorating, extremely loud, trashy hip hop videos playing on the projection were distracting, smoothies were not good and it just has an overall shady ambience. We went there last night for the first time and we thought it was one of the better hookah cafés in SA, however we had ordered 1 bowl of half coconut and half mango but we received some kind of bland mint flavor and we also ordered a pot of green tea which I believe was supposed to be 5-6$. Not great. Not sure why anyone likes this place. Service was slow; we waited 20 min at some points for someone to come over while trying to politely wave a worker down. Hookah wasn't as smooth as some other places I've tried, and it was twice as expensive as Gypsy Cafe, which was awesome. Couches were ripped and sunk in, there was a random barking dog inside. Rude and inconsistent!! Before we even sat down outside a man came outside and asked us for IDs understandable because we had beer. (I was flattered since I'm 32) I told him my sister was too young to drink but old enough to smoke. Either he didn't hear me or he ignored me. When he got to hers he said we had to put our beer up since she was underage. Annoying but I could understand. However there were about 7 CLEARLY underage (possibly not even old enough to smoke) kids who sat down next to us and they never got ID'd. In fact they brought them a bucket of ice for their loose beers that their parents had left over in their house. He did tell them since there were 7 kids they had to order another hookah. They never did and he didn't follow up. We got one hookah but were wanting to get more but there were no chairs due to the kids hogging them all. My friend was literally standing around. We asked for another chair and if they were going to ID the kids. Again got ignored. The man stared at us from inside smoking his hookah. It was awkward. We just paid for our hookah and left. My sisters 21st birthday is coming up and I was going to see about reserving tables and celebrating there. Clearly they don't want my business. read more
