Our air system is out and we have pets and young kids so getting it fixed is a priority. When I called them their system pushed me to text with them, which I did. The conversations went overall well, and they were going to get back to me later in the day. Hours later with nothing, I text back. Answer--they have been really busy. I could wait or call if I wanted--not exactly useful. My wife called and the dispatcher claimed straight up that the person she was speaking to was personally handling those messages all day, but for some reason mine didn't exist. Wait, what? I just texted you 5 minutes before she called so it clearly wasn't you. I texted back and asked why two different people were claiming they were talking to me, and the response that I got was that they would get back to dispatch to deal with the confusion (not dealing with the identity mix up), and that I could pay double for an emergency call. Finally the texts changed, and someone new introduced me and informed me that I was talking to their useless AI system all day, which is incredibly irresponsible to do and not disclose. So, yea, we have wasted an entire day talking to their stupid AI system (without knowing it), and it was happy to tell me what I wanted to hear for hours (in an 87 degree house) without actually providing me assistance. Best news? They told me that they could still get to me on Monday--only three more days of 90 degree indoor heat! If I could go back I would certainly call someone else. Edit: Called a company in a neighboring town. They had someone here within an hour. The part that needed replacement was obvious, and someone could have picked it up today if I hadn't dealt with this dishonest garbage. Now I have to wait until Monday because it is tool late in the evening to order it. So, cool, they have officially messed us up through at least Monday (assuming everything goes OK).

Today is another example of their amazing response. 5:00 pm.: Furnace was going on for 5 minutes then stopping--never reached the desired temp. Couldn't hear the initial burner noise. Wasn't the circuit breaker. Called Tip-Top; Leah said her dad was on a job in the area and would be over around 7. About 5:30 he showed up. In 3 minutes he had the covers off and had diagnosed that the "limiter switch" had popped up. He didn't just push it down; he showed ME where it is, marked the location (kind of hidden), explained its function, and showed me how to push it down if it happens again. 10 minutes and he was out the door. FANTASTIC!

I love family businesses like theirs, but I recently had reason to go into my crawl space, and…read morediscovered that they routed the 60A 240V circuit using the J hooks which carried Cat6 Ethernei throughout my house(!). This is a complete no-no as it seriously interferes with high speed communication on the Cat6 wires. By doing this, it lengthened the wire run by 20 feet or so. Given the price of copper at the time, that raised the price a bit. In addition the father is one of those guys who feels the need to insult and mock you. They also misinstalled the connection at the breaker box, causing the circuit breaker to flip when I charged my car, so they had to come back to fix it. Tesla recommends 60 A breakers, and they insisted putting in a 50 A breaker. It was a struggle to deal with them, and now I'm going to have to reroute the wire and hire someone else to fix it. Given what they charged, that's pretty aggravating.

I asked to pay him on the spot. He said they would bill me. I text my contact at the company and asked for a bill, she said she would get to it. I never received a bill or a phone call so eventually, I called them again and asked for the bill a third time and paid it in full. I then received a collections bill from some company in Greely claiming non payment of some mysterious bill and found out it was these clowns. I then had to email the collection guys and dispute the inaccuracy of the billing fraudulently reported and compose this warning. It's too bad, the actual electrician was great but the billing has been a complete nightmare. I will be looking for sparky elsewhere in the future.

He never returned my calls or sent me a bill in the mail. A year later I get a call from the collection agency that they turned the bill over. I am disputing the charge and will never recommend this company to anyone else. They are dishonest and deceitful.

Her furnace seemed new to me but according to the guy from R&H her furnace was old enough that they did not make parts for it anymore. I would not have even thought about getting a new filter since I am moving. Of course as luck would have it I came to a very cold house after the holidays up in Wyoming. Not only did the furnace need new filters but a new motor as well. Good thing they had those old motors in stock! Of course this would happen just before I leave. The gentleman that came out was professional and got the furnace going again. Since it was so old though he suggested that a new furnace should be considered in the future. Great.
