I would like to respond to the Cheryl C. review, Double D BBQ Repair always gives free estimates to all customers and sets appointments at the customers convenience, Cheryl forgot to mention that the house she just purchased was a foreclosure and had sat empty for almost two years, she was not available for the free estimate, she is correct in saying that she had a Bull grill Island with approximately $5000 worth of equipment, and when we inspected her equipment we found the main natural gas line was not connected and the Rotisserie wire of her grill had been chewed thru by mice, and mice were living in the grill, and the electrical outlets were not working. Therefor we could not check to see if the grill would work or not, the electronic ignition was working but as I said there was no gas supply, we also could not check to see if the lights were working because of no power running to her equipment. Cheryl had not moved into the residence yet. The equipment was in relatively good shape and gave her a quote of $450 for a complete island and equipment clean, which consisted of a 32" grill, side burner, ice chest and mini fridge, the Island itself. We also informed her she will need to see why her Island had no power and why the gas line had been disconnect, remember this house was a foreclosure and sat empty for some time. She agreed to the price and we set a date fore the complete Island clean and when the crew showed up ! again the customer was a no show, we cleaned all the equipment and Island and repaired the rotisserie wire but could not fire it up because of no gas or electrical, as you notice in her review there was nothing about the great job the Guys did on her equipment. After the job was complete and paid for, Cheryl ask me to find out why the gas was not working, I drove back to her home and again no one was home and found her main gas line had been disconnected at the main gas meter, and for free I capped off the one end of the gas line , put a pressure gage on the other and found that her cast iron gas line had been breached (rotted) and would not hold pressure and would need to be replaced and I also tried to find why there was no power to her grill, we are not Electricians or Plumbers and never claimed to be. Yes I told her by my best guesstimate that 80' to 100' of gas line under concrete would be about 4 or 5 thousand dollars to replace or $250 for me to go back for the 5th time to convert her grill to propane. My opinion is she gave this bad review because we did not repair her gas line or her electrical for free, maybe this could have been avoided if she showed up at least once to the 5 times I did. read more

If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. Both of my outdoor gas heaters stopped working at the same time, and after going down the YouTube rabbit hole trying to fix them myself, I was stuck. I reached out to Dan at DD Barbecue & Fireplace Repair expecting to schedule a service call--but instead, he took the time to walk me through the entire troubleshooting process over the phone. Step by step, he patiently explained what to check, what to adjust, and what might be causing the issue. Not only did he know exactly what he was talking about, but he made it easy to understand and follow. By the end of the call, both of my heaters were up and running perfectly. Here's the part that really sets Dan apart: he didn't charge me a dime. In a time where most businesses are quick to bill you for anything, Dan genuinely wanted to help--and he did. That level of honesty, expertise, and customer service is rare. If you need any kind of BBQ or outdoor heater repair, do yourself a favor and call Dan first.
