We were gonna use this outfit for some extensive much needed work on our poolside built-in BBQ and adjacent fireplace. We have seen them around the area where we live and they have a good rating. However, we had an uncomfortable encounter with someone from the company. We were driving at 25 mph in a residential area and one of their vehicles zoomed up behind us quite quickly and began tailgating us. I started to pull over to the right to let them go by and they zipped by. The next intersection had stop signs which they ignored and went thru reducing their speed just a little. Ok, fine, they were in a hurry to get the job done somewhere. But we had a similar experience on Lakeview Avenue. In moderate traffic one of their trucks began tailgating us again while we were doing the speed limit. They finally sped by us and we lost sight of them. Poor communication, and don't back up their work (at least in our case). A TRUE TEST of a company is how they respond to a customer when there's an issue with their work. Go elsewhere. Did you get the new Blackstone Air Fryer Griddle Combo? If so, you know it's an amazing griddle that is super versatile and a joy to cook on! The problem is that Blackstone's natural gas conversion kit does not convert the air fryer portion, only the top burners that heat the griddle. Unfortunately for me, I didn't find this out until after I paid a plumber several hundred dollars to run a natural gas line out to my patio where my griddle sits. Major bummer! Well, one call to Double D BBQ Repair and Dan had a solution. For a very reasonable price, he was able to convert the orifis' for the griddle burners as well as the air fryer. What Blackstone customer service said can't be done, Dan did in about 30 minutes. This is a big money saver as propane is expensive compared to NG and running out in the middle of a cook is just a "summer bummer". I'm so glad we found Double D. I'm completely happy w the restore that was done on my grill. I had an old attached outdoor grill and it was transformed. My only complaint was due to the extreme heat (it was 100+ degrees) cleaning up the brick wasnt easy... the cement dripped and dried so fast. But that is a small detail that no one notices unless I point it out and now over time its disappearing with the sun. And the brickwork guy did his best under that weather.
