I have been going to this restaurant for many years pre-Covid and then once Covid was over my wife and I began our lunch dates there again. We always enjoyed the food. We always enjoyed going there until today August 16, 2023. My wife got off from work a little late so we got to the restaurant about 2:25. We were seated, viral menus and asked if we would like anything to drink. We gave our drink orders and even have a chance to open the menu when the waitress goes "are you ready to order?" my wife said she needed a couple more minutes and the waitress in return said " you need to hurry up we close at three." Maybe if we were told when we were seated that they were closing at three we would not have even sat down. Needless to say, we felt like we were not very welcome at that point, and decided not to eat and we probably will never freak with the establishment again so if you wanna eat here, make sure you do it way before three if not, you will be treated like trash. read more

This place is probably to best Chinese food I have ever had. The food is fresh and it taste so delicious. Only issue I have when you dine in they give you family size portions. When you order to go they are stingy in the amount they give you. The lady owner is actually really nice. The guy that helps her out he is kind of a D. He's rude to everybody I see him help. My wife has been coming to this place since forever before she knew me. She and her Grandma and Grandpa would come here and eat. Fast forward to now throughout the 12 years that we've been together and married we have always got this food to go for holidays get togethers birthdays I always thought it was pretty good but not great but definitely pretty good until I went here in person for the first time. I immediately fell in love with the food the freshness of it the crispy not soggy skin of the chicken the taste was on point. I am so happy now that I live in the area that we can go here and have a great Chinese food dinner because coming from Sacramento, Chinese food to me was not good out there unless you went to Frank fats in downtown Sacramento although I do miss his onion covered sirloin! read more

Double Dragon is my GO TO spot for Chinese food in Antioch. Always super fresh and yummy, and their restaurant is always so clean. I've tried so many of their offerings ... soups, apps, and entrees. I'm a potsticker lover and their potstickers are a bit a doughy compared to what I normally prefer, however, I still get them every time because they are very tasty and surprisingly light. Some of my favorite entrees are the Mongolian chicken/beef, beef w/broccoli, sweet and sour pork, cashew chicken, chow mien, fried rice, to name a few... Recently I tried the garlic chicken and lemon chicken. Two items I would have never ordered, but someone else in the family wanted them so we had to try. Both were delightful and the garlic chicken is definitely something I would order again for myself! Their lunch specials are plentiful and inexpensive. For about $10 you can get your choice of an entree, fried or steamed rice, a fried wonton, and a cup of soup. Only negative to the lunch special is you can't get it with chow mien. Not worth it for me. Got the orange chicken lunch special. It was okay. I was expecting the fried rice to have vegetables, but it was literally just rice, fried. No egg it appeared. The egg drop soup is something I don't really like so didn't try it at all. The lunch special was $13.75. Pretty average quality and quality. They didn't even talk to me although, half way through, I did take a call because my son was sick. I still said thanks and no reply. Looks at me like they're suspicious of my presence. The dish that surprised me the most was the Mapo Tofu. My whole family really enjoyed it. Customer service: 2.5 stars. Not rude but also not very welcoming! Felt forced and strictly business. If it wasn't for the food, this place would have 2 stars tops. Price: 3.5 stars. It's not PF Chang's prices but considering the area, it's overpriced. 5 stars for the food minus 1.5 stars for the experience = 3.5 stars. Location: 3 stars. It's not located in the worst part of Antioch but I also wouldn't be here late at night. Parking was confusing. Pulling in, it seemed like the entrance was on the plaza side but when you get closer they make you walk around the building. Because of the area I decided to move my parking. While in town visiting family we decided to go easy and order out. I was recommended Double Dragon for come Chinese food. I phoned in my order easily and with a friendly voice from the restaurant. Drove in to pick up and also was greeted by 3 people with a friendly hello. My order was ready to go and they even threw in a Chinese calendar as a bonus. Cool! Now the important stuff... the food!!! I started off with the War Wonton Soup which was really delicious. Packed with wonton dumplings and shrimp and veggies! The soup broth was excellent too! The large was enough for 3 persons or 2 with a second serving. For the main course I chose the Mongolian Beef. I have to say this was some of the best Mongolian beef entrees I have had, especially from a smaller casual restaurant. The beef was sooo tender and seasoned well. Not chewy or salty. Very good preparation of a classic dish. Not overloaded with onions either. Just some with lots of beef. On the side I had the vegetable fried rice which was also very good. The rice tasted fresh and full of veggies. I would definitely keep Double Dragon as my go to when in town and in need of some delicious Chinese food. First time going to this place and I ordered 4 items. When I got home I realized one of the items I ordered wasn't there and they didn't tell me when I went inside to pick up the order it had been cancelled. I also ordered crispy chicken online and what the picture shows online does not look like what they gave me. I don't even know what I got but it was soggy chicken. Also the shrimp friend rice doesn't look like the picture and had maybe 4 pieces of shrimp that tasted strange. I'm not sure how old the rice is!
