I came here for lunch one afternoon recently. I got the General Tso chicken and rice. It was a very tasty little meal I must say. Double dragon is the restaurant we have here in Louisville all over the place. I believe there's probably 6-7 if not more. Well, I finally found a Chinese place that serves above average chowmein. The hot and sour soup was not good at all but everything else was pretty tasty. When I want Chinese I come here. Never had any issues and they cook the food to order. I have also had them deliver to the house a couple of times and the food was also good. Usually takes 10 minutes for your food to be ready when ordering at the counter. You can also call ahead of time and pick up your order if you don't feel like waiting. read more

Lately I've been on a Chinese crave. What you find mainly in Louisville is American Chinese cuisine. That's important to point out because true Chinese cuisine like Cantonese and Sichuan doesn't really exist here. Oriental Express in St. Matthew's would be one place that's authentic. This place is American Chinese but I'm very satisfied with their food. What's common in Louisville with Chinese food is that it's all really cheap because there is so much supply. Here I got a large beef curry dinner and a side of rice for $10. Lunch specials run $7-6. The curry was very tasty. Lots of carrots, green bell peppers and mushrooms like you would find in American Chinese cuisine. Authentic Chinese food uses bok choy, nappa, and Chinese greens. Beef was very tender. Curry had that unique taste that's so different from SE Asian curry. I've been here a handful of times and they never dissapoint. I love seeing the cooks work the woks in the kitchen! They also deliver if you're within 5 miles!! read more

Ordered from here for my first time & am dissatisfied with the food. It seems to be a favorite in the area but I'm more impressed with Number One Chinese down Mud Ln. I won't be going back. By far my favorite Chinese take out in Louisville. This was a constant lunch selection when I was still working in the office. It was fast and easy for us to place an order over the phone, and it was always ready at the pick up time they quoted. We would do carry out, not delivery so I cannot speak to their delivery timing. My food was always fresh and exactly what I expected of it. I miss that it is too far away from me now for a quick run over lunch now, that I am working from home, but I look forward to getting my usual from here, once I am back in the office. read more

I ordered the C24. General Chicken 左宗鸡 tonight. The breading was extra crunchy and the chicken was very dry. Which tells me the way over fried it. Many of the pieces had no chicken at all inside of them. The ones that did had way more breading than chicken. Basically, I paid $15 for over fried bread in overly sweet sauce. read more

It's a shame but I called them back after a delivery that my meat was raw after I asked her to cook it well and she really called me an asshole. I talked to the driver and he also mentioned that one of his peers also heard her saying that. Stupid place to get food from. I have to call my credit card company to void the transaction cause we started eating and they told the driver that if we ate an egroll not to go back. It's all there though.. sad for them. Food is good but I am giving a 2 star review because I ordered a large sweet and sour chicken with small shrimp fried rice but they gave me a small chicken fried rice. I called to get a refund for the up charge but they claim they don't give refunds because they would have to call the company to put it in process. So instead, they said they will send the driver back to our house with the correct item or they will give you a credit towards your next purchase. Personally, I would have rathered a refund. read more

I have ordered from here before and was happy with the food and delivery time.I ordered tonight and was told 45 minutes (which I thought was excessive but ok.) The food arrived an hour later and was Luke warm at best. I specifically asked if the chicken on Kung Pao came without breading and was told it did not..The chicken was lightly breaded and the entree had absolutely no flavor. (I requested it to be extra spicy)The chicken lo mein was awful too. I'm not sure if there is new ownership or this was an off night but we are highly dissatisfied and threw 25 worth of food in the garbage. To top it off! The food was better than most. Prices are fair. I had the shrimp with garlic sauce with two shrimp egg rolls. I ordered a spring roll as well but never got it. I asked for a fork and got a spoon. I asked for fortune cookies twice but I guess they looked at me and made the executive decision to not contribute to my obesity anymore than they had to so no fortune cookies this time and I'm kinda grateful. Fresh cooked food is generally cold, the workers badmouth the customers in their preferred language, and they refuse to deliver near the Brooks area due to something about the warehouses off the exit. They also prefer to bad mouth you if you decide to do pick-up on your time in their area. I'd rate it lower but the food quality is pretty good unless they leave it in the open rather than the proper containers and bagging. read more

I work at one of the UPS facilities around outer loop. A group of coworkers just received an order that was missing an entire meal. When the woman who placed the order called to complain, they refused to bring out the meal unless someone repaid for it. To be clear, we just had to pay for the same order twice. I only get delivery but the food arrives hot, the delivery person is on time and very pleasant. Now to the food: you get a lot of it and I find it quite flavorful. Placed a $98.00 group delivery order (before tip), Refused to accept any coupons that I printed off of THEIR WEB SITE, and upcharged me to substitute spring roll for egg roll and upcharged to substitute vegtable fried rice for regular fried rice. Then, one meal was missing. Called to ask that they bring the missing meal. Was told there was no way it was missing and they refused to believe me. I gave up and asked them to deliver the missing meal and I'd pay for it again, as I had a coworker who needed supper. At first they said NO, because it didn't fall under the minimum charge for delivery, after I argued more with them, (remember I'm the customer who just spent $100.00 plus gave the driver a very generous tip) they said they'd bring it, and I'd have to pay cash. I paid for it when it arrived AGAIN, tipped the driver AGAIN, because none of this was his fault. We order food often from this office, because we work 2nd shift and we're all very busy.
