Great south county pizza place that has daily lunch specials various other specials and is kid friendly. The restaurant was clean and service was friend and helpful. The daily lunch pizza , salad and drink for $12.99 is a fantastic deal, large fountain drink of your choice with a full size salad and a 10 inch pizza with topping of your choice. The pizza was fabulous, thin crispy crust with a very flavorful sauce and plenty of cheese. Definitely a spot to visit and I will be returning.

Gettin back in our Pizza Passport Journey!!! Headed to Double D's for a Sunday dinner!!! Service is always fast and friendly!!! I love the Handtossed pizza!! Pepperoni/Hamburger/Mushroom Comes out Hot and Fresh!!! We also got a St Louis Style but for some reason... people wanted my Handtossed!! Toasted Raviolis always hit the spot and their House salad with the Balsamic Vinaigrette was very good!!!! The French Dip was good but could have been toasted a bit more!!! Bonus: I forgot to order Cheese Garlic Bread so they said it was On the House!! Yay Me!!!!

First time at Double Ds Saturday. We ordered taco pizza and mozzarella sticks. I was impressed with the taco pizza. The mozzarella sticks themselves were warm and gooey, the sauce with it left something to be desired. Not sure what it was. The inside was much larger than expected and would be good for a large group. Overall we'll try it again I'm sure. The service was great. They do offer several varieties of pizza and sell frozen as well. Also there's a few alcoholic beverages they sell.

This was a stop on our Pizza Passport and it gets a thumbs up! We have a group that goes to the passport stops together and Double D's was welcoming to our group. Super friendly manager manning the counter where you order, helping to bring out our food, checking on us, and keeping us informed about our food. Super nice guy. Orders are taken out the counter and then delivered to your table. We ordered boneless wings with hot mustard sauce, super good. They were more like mini strips with a thin breading, not the super crusty pre frozen boneless wings you get at most places. So good, I ate them and didn't take a picture. The Dude's meat lovers pizza was excellent, lots of toppings. crust thick enough to handle the toppings. Came out piping hot, it was very good. Great service, great pizza, we will add this to our list. Also, great place for team pizza with lots of tables, lots of TV's, and a game room.

Great food, reasonable prices, great service. Cute clean family style restaurant with some adult choices. Pizza has fresh toppings. We had the Double D Deluxe and the Kristina's Barbecue chicken pizza. Both were great. Service was great so friendly!

Visited DDs for lunch yesterday. We always love their pizza and apps. Today was no different- we did their meal deal which is a great deal. XL 2 topping pizza, salad and wings. We did a pepperoni and hamburger with mushroom on half of it also. Their bone in dds sauce wings and salad with balsamic vinaigrette. All of these were great. The salad was bigger than expected, wings were big and juicy, and the pizza was hot, fresh, loaded with toppings, and their delicious cheese blend. I decided to try the chicken Parmesan sandwich also. Here is where I was let down. We have gotten their boneless wings often in the past and they were always these hand breaded tenderloin strips that were really tasty. I had expected the chicken parm sandwich to be similar to those crispy chicken pieces but coated in sauce on garlic cheese bread. The sandwich was just ok- primarily bc of the chicken. It was what appeared to be frozen bagged chicken tenders added to the sandwich, not the hand breaded chicken I was used to getting there. We didn't order the boneless wings this day so I hope those haven't changed under the new ownership. We will be back for pizza and to find out if the boneless wings are as good as they used to be, but the chicken parm sandwich will not be on our menu again.

Chef salad minus tomato and onions. Huge. And Sooooo good!

I am devastated that it's taken me so long to come here. Think of all the crappy salads, subpar pizzas, and not yummy sandwiches I've had to eat when I could have been eating the awesomeness that is Double D's. Our first visit we got a meat pizza (with our Pizza Passport) and a large chef salad. Husband and I each had a bowl of salad and there was still so much left, the to go container was FULL. The salad is mostly iceberg. Hallelujah! It's so hard to find a salad these days that isn't mixed greens or leaf lettuce. Both of which I do not like at all. Their ranch is really good too. The pizza was perfect. Toppings were plentiful and well balanced. There wasn't too much or too little of anything. Sauce was just right too. So much yum we had to go back the next weekend. I had to have another one of those salads. Still spectacular. And I really wanted to try their French Dip because I'm always on the lookout for a good one. It was better than good. I forgot to order it with cheese and it was still awesome. Great au jus as well. This place is definitely in my top five of pizza places. And, probably, top 20 of all restaurants. Can't wait until we visit again.

Really enjoyed the pizza. We had the meat lovers , whatever they call it. It was delicious. A thinner crust. Didn't taste the sauce that much. The cheese blend seemed like it had a queso feel/taste to it.... And it was wonderful.

We sat in the patio and water and fresh hot 2 kinds of bread were placed on the table. Our server, Connor, is so knowledgeable and pleasant. He was patient with us and his wine suggestion was spot on. Great sense of humor and he worked all the patio tables. The food choices were amazing and exceeded expectations. Pricing was comparable with what we expected. The lobster bisque was thick, hot and very filling. There was ample pieces of lobster as well. My wife shared that her pasta was not hard or dry or rubbery but tasted freshly made. Connor shared that the prep starts every morning with homemade pasta. The traditional toasted ravioli were just that, toasted and tasty and the CG shrimp seemed so much more than an appetizer. Meals could be had with just those. I was very satisfied it ordered lasagna anyway. I just had them pack it to go as I was comfortably full. I know there are a lot of choices on the Hill but I assure you this one stands out. It was the only menu item I would not order again. Flavors did not come together. I ate my fair share so it was good. Just not great. We then shared a cheese pizza with provel. Elite crust and sauce! The crust had an amazing char and the sauce was deliciously nuanced. The cheese was very good, but most definitely not the star of the pie. Pasta Pomodoro was wonderful. House made pasta was excellent and the sauce was a perfect accompaniment. (Anthonino's really does sauces well!) I finished with tiramisu and I am so glad I did! Did I need it? No. Did I want it? This time, we arrived at 6:30pm on a Friday night and were sat at a table in the main thoroughfare. The ambiance was poor and it was so loud that we needed to shout to be heard. We ordered the caramelized cauliflower appetizer which was drowning in cream sauce and so smothered in cheese that it no longer looked like a vegetable. It was too rich for us. They were considerate to give us plates to split the scampi style shrimp, which was well cooked. However, the grilled beef tenderloin and potatoes were very lackluster. We'd asked for medium rare and the kitchen must have been rushing as it was still raw in the middle. We tried to get the server's attention, but they were very busy and we gave up. A particularly strange and rude interaction from our server when collecting the check left a bad taste in our mouths. I was glad to see their popularity but disappointed at how it decreased the quality of our experience. Unfortunately, we had an unpleasant time overall. If you are planning to go, I recommend choosing a less busy time for a better experience.

I have had salve osteria on the hit list for a while, and my expectations were far exceeded. This place is both insanely busy and also a hidden gem at the same time. It does not get the attention, nor press it deserves. The place is jumping with good people and good vibes. I got their New Years special which was prix fixe with prime rib as the main event. Everything was superb. The cassoulet had a beautiful spice with a velvety texture. The crab tom yum risotto was so decadent. Silky smooth from the coconut with a beautiful herby finish from the mint chili oil to complement the crab. I never thought I'd say this, but the brussel sprouts stole the show! Cooked in some bacon fat they were crunchy, salty, and perfect. Oh, and the prime rib was everything a kid could ever dream of. Fatty and the cacao rub was amazing. The horseradish was spectacular. The whipped potatoes were light and airy. Think of mashed potatoes in whipped cream form. A texture and flavor combination I will now dream of because I imagine I will never get to experience something so lovely again. As for cocktails, i kept it simple with a martini... I mean, it is a gin bar, how could I not? The service was great. I was dining solo and the servers and bar tender kept me updated, well taken care, and treated with intense hospitality. I did have one issue: I ordered a Barr Hill Vodka Martini at a premium price, and it had a strong taste of Juniper. I alerted the staff and they were very apologetic and understanding, unfortunately the manager assured me it was Vodka and didn't acknowledge the possibility it tasted like gin. I'm guessing bartender failed to rinse the shaker properly after the previous gin shake, resulting in a vodka drink with a strong gin flavor. The staff kindly replaced the drink with a lower quality vodka that helped satisfy me. The situation was resolved, but I walked away feeling misunderstood and dismissed by the owner. I will be back and I do recommend this restaurant. :)

I'm glad that the Italian sausage was thinly sliced because otherwise it would have been overpowering for my palette. The next dish that my daughter had was technically a Caprese salad, which was tomato and mozzarella. She didn't like the red onion, but had asked for balsamic vinegar on the side, which she added to the salad, and when I tried the balsamic vinegar, even I realized that it is one of the best that I have ever had. My daughter went with the gnocchi, and said that it was among the best that she had ever had. Seriously, you can get better food and service for half the price at Pasta House.
