    Small Deluxe pizza
    Robert B.

Came by to grab a couple of pizzas for dinner. Went with a small deluxe and a small pepperoni. The website wasn't working, so I wasn't able to preorder, but they came out quickly! I just wandered around the beer hall for about 10 min. The menu had a bunch of different options, which seem to have something for everyone. A little pricy for pizza in general after a tip, but this is a place where you are paying for quality! Guy who took my order was friendly and was able to let me know what was sold out. Having this in the beer hall is great and the noise/traffic of people doesn't take away from the experience. I liked seeing the cook books on the top shelf. My only suggestion for them would be to consider listing what beers go best with which pizzas. Maybe Urban Chestnut can hook them up with a deal!

I do like a pizza with a thinner crust so this was just perfect! A good amount of toppings, made it a good value for the money. One pizza was enough for the two of us.

At long last a trusted slice is back at UCBC. Can't get enough of the fall off the bone confit buffalo wings and crushable caesar salad.

Delicious pizza and friendly service. The crust is this pizza's standout - a product of the recipe and oven-fired perfection.

The pizza was tasty & the service was great, but there were very few people at the location the day we went.

I called to place an order, the man that answered was very short, he said they were busy and wait would be an hour and and a half, I said that's fine. Continuing on, ordered the special minus mushroom. Wanted to ask if a different topping could be added but was cut off and my ordering was over. OK, NBD. Got to the place to get the pizza, my husband went in to grab it and the man at the counter was rude and short with him. Also the place was empty so maybe we called in the order during a dinner rush hense the 95 min wait, again NBD. An employee pulled the pizza out tossed in in the counter and walked away. Then a younger employee walked up to the counter and collected money. I'm hoping the older man was just having a bad day, but being rude in 2 different manners is not a good look. When we get home and started to enjoy this pie half way into eating a slice was a nice piece of rubber, kind of looking like a hair tie or something. Now that's a huge turn off. First experience and now the last. Sorry folks but bad attitude and a foreign object is at all not appealing.

Parking is easy within a block or two. Outdoor, booth, and table seating is available. My husband had the gluten free pasta because it is also vegan, and no lie and true to form, it was delightful and light! The tomato sauce is Perfection: not too acidic, not too sweet, letting the grand yet humble tomato shine. I chose the puttanesca, one of my favorite traditional Italian pastas. I would order this again!! Had plenty for lunch the next day. Not to be left out: the toasted ravs and cannoli. I've had a few T-ravs since moving to StL, and these are excellent. The tomato sauce for dipping, once again, is a real treat. The cannolis? Precious, flaky, and dreamy. I ate one at our table and took the second bad boy home. FIRE.

While traveling through Missouri, my wife and I were looking for a place to have dinner. I searched…read moreYelp and came across Anthonino's. I also remembered seeing it featured on the Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, so we figured it had to be worth a try. When we arrived, we were asked if we had a reservation. We didn't, but noticed a few open seats at the bar and asked if we could sit there instead. The two bartenders welcomed us right away and told us they would take good care of us throughout the evening. My wife ordered an iced tea, and I started with an Old Fashioned. For an appetizer, we ordered the Toasted Ravioli ($14), which is handmade in-house and filled with ground beef, ricotta, and pecorino romano cheese, served with marinara sauce. It's one of the dishes featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. For dinner, my wife ordered the Chicken Marsala ($23), and I went with the Bolognese ($17), made with veal, pork, red wine gravy, cresta di gallo pasta, stracciatella, and Calabrian chili oil. The toasted ravioli arrived looking great. I tried one without the sauce first. The fresh pasta didn't fry up quite the way I expected. It was more flaky than crispy, and I was hoping for a little more crunch. The filling was decent but could have used a bit more seasoning and flavor. The marinara sauce also had a bitterness to it that wasn't my favorite. When our entrées arrived, both dishes looked and smelled wonderful. Unfortunately, the flavors didn't quite live up to the presentation. My wife's Chicken Marsala had good flavor overall, but the side pasta was very gummy, and the sauce again had a bitter note that seemed to overpower the dish. My Bolognese was the biggest disappointment of the evening. When I think of Bolognese or a rich meat ragù, I usually expect a wider pasta such as pappardelle. The cresta di gallo pasta wasn't my favorite choice for the dish, and it also had a gummy texture. The sauce itself suffered from the same bitterness that we noticed throughout the meal. Looking back, I probably should have ordered the Carbonara once I realized the Bolognese wasn't being served with the type of pasta I was hoping for. Overall, the meal was okay, but it didn't quite meet the expectations we had after seeing the restaurant featured on television and reading the reviews. The service was excellent, and the bartenders did a fantastic job taking care of us. While this visit was a bit disappointing, there were plenty of other dishes on the menu that looked great, and I would be willing to give Anthonino's another try and order something different.

Despite our large group, the server was excellent, providing friendly and efficient service throughout the entire evening. This is a pizza place, and I have Celiac Disease, so I did not eat this visit. However, my friends enjoyed hot appetizers and cheesy pizza slices. I was extremely impressed by the cocktail menu. I decided on a traditional margarita with a salt rim. It was great, good price too. They have many margarita flavors and add-ons to choose from. In terms of rims, you can pick from nothing, salt, sugar or tahin rim. There was plenty of free parking on the street near the restaurant. Bathrooms are a little outdated but clean and working just fine. The reason we came here for trivia was that the trivia really moves along since it's a weeknight. It was extremely well-attending with many teams (great friendly competition). The questions and rounds moved quickly and efficiently, starting easy and becoming very challenging. I would definitely return!

The beer options are also great, offering plenty of craft options. Our server was friendly and served us quickly, getting us everything we needed and answering any questions we had. Parking is easy out front, and we were able to get a large table for our group without a long wait. I will definitely be back if I'm ever in the area, and I highly recommend it to anyone else as well.
